Ukrainian Oligarch Paid $700,000 To The Husband Of A House Judiciary Committee Democrat
Robert Powell, the husband of Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, D-Fla., reportedly took $700,000 from a Ukrainian oligarch named Igor Kolomoisky. Mucarsel-Powell sits on the House Judiciary Committee, the committee that drafted two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump for his alleged abuse of power with regards to Ukraine.
In 2018, the Daily Beast reported that a number of businesses linked to Kolomoisky hired Powell as an attorney. One of those firms paid Powell at least $700,000 over two years, according to public records.
Story continues below advertisementThe Miami Herald reported Powell was working for companies tied to Kolomoisky for 10 years. Powell made most of his money in the two years leading up to his wife’s election in 2018.
Kolomoisky has been accused of contract killings and embezzlement in the past. Yet, in 2018 when Mucarsel-Powell was running for her seat, she did not see her husband’s work as relevant to her campaign.
“Debbie Mucrasel-Powell is running for Congress, not her husband. To imply that Debbie has anything to do with her indirect shareholder of a parent company that once employed her husband is an enormous stretch,” said Michael Hernandez, senior communications advisor for her campaign in 2018.
While Mucrasel-Powell may have convinced her constituents that her husband’s work is unrelated, it is a clear conflict in the current impeachment of Trump. Mucarsel-Powell voted to impeach Trump.
The House has moved to impeach Trump over a July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. When the House initiated impeachment hearings, they were arguing Trump asked for a quid pro quo or potentially bribed the Ukrainian president. No evidence to corroborate those charges has been found, so now the House is charging the president with abuse of power and obstructing Congress in relation to the Ukrainian phone call.
And yet, no Democrats see a problem with one of their own committee members’ spouses doing business with a Ukrainian ogliarch. There has been no check on whether Mucrasel-Powell is benefitting from her husband’s work with a foreign power that interfered in the 2016 election.
There is a double standard in Mucrasel-Powell’s ability to impeach the President for his work in Ukraine, simultaneously, allowing her husband to earn money from Kolomoisky, a thug from the same foreign power.

Part of me hopes they do.
Won’t change any Republican or Democrat minds that are already set (though the only minds that have been changed are those of Democrats). But I’ve got a feeling independents are going to have a very different take on this nonsense than the democrats are counting on.

Yes, independents are increasingly expecting Trump to be re-elected. The Dem white electorate are unchanged: they could not oppose Trump any more than they do now. Meanwhile, blacks and Hispanics are increasingly pro-Trump

They can open up new investigations for the other things… all they need to exonerate Trump is the have an open cross examination which wasn’t allowed of the “witnesses” that Schiff brought in. All that needs to happen is to debunk their testimony to show that the Left had absolutely nothing and their testimonies were nothing more than their opinions and hearsay “evidence” which isn’t evidence of wrongdoing.

Problem is (for us) that it wasn’t only Democrats. There’s some Republicans in there too; which is why NO ONE wants to “do the right thing”.
But, show me a Congressperson who’s been in office for 30-40 years and I’ve got 90% odds that I can show you an entire family that has more millionaires than Bill Gates’ family.

Lindsey Graham is a Republican. McShame was a Republican. Flake was a Republican. There are others…..
Mike Lee is another CORRUPT Republican….Jason E. Chaffetz is another one… also a Republican and a Mormon like Mitt and Lee. There are lots of them. Chaffetz suddenly retired and for good reason….

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., is one of the Democrats’ most outspoken talking heads, frequently calling for President Donald Trump’s impeachment and citing his alleged “collusion with Russia.” However, her bombastic speeches and calls to action have often been found baseless. In fact, a recently uncovered Russian connection was linked directly to Waters herself.
Got News uncovered a 2015 disclosure statement from Waters which “details her family’s investments in BlackRock’s Russia-connected Global Allocation and Balanced funds.”
This is intriguing considering that as of late, Waters has used her 15 minutes of fame to bash Trump and even went as far as to tweet “Follow the Money,” in order to further her claim of collusion with Russia and Trump campaign officials.
Well, some internet sleuths did follow the money — but it didn’t lead to Trump, it led right back to Waters.
According to RedFlag News, Waters “held $200,000 in Russia-linked retirement accounts.”
In addition to the insane amount of money that Waters had tied up in these Russian accounts, Water’s BlackRock fund revealed another surprising twist.
So who is the one really tied up with Russia? Waters’ own statement shows a personal financial connection to the Kremlin to the tune of $200,000, while her fund has millions of dollars worth of obligations to the Russian Federation.

The rush to impeach Trump over the Ukraine is merely an attempt by a gaggle of Commiecrats to cover up their looting of the aide sent to the Ukraine. This 700K is merely a drop in the bucket ofthe billions that were stolen. The Ukraine has turned into a Commiecrat money-pot and NO one is going to get in their way or even expose it. Tens of billions have been stolen by these Marxist criminals and the Russians must be laughing in their vodka at the corruption they have observed. Every billion that flows into corrupt Commiecrat hands is a billion that cannot be used for Ukraine’s defense.

Money earned by either spouse during a marriage is legally considered as a marital asset, therefore owned jointly by the parties. It is blatantly disingenuous for Democrat Representative Mucarsel-Powell to brush this off as inconsequential/unrelated to her lofty status, and to imply that this does not benefit her financially. If Congress had any ethics/morals they would make it unlawful and immediate grounds for impeachment for any family member by blood or marriage of a Congressman to receive any money from a foreign country or any foreigner who has close ties to their governing body. While some may be innocent, the occurrence of such activities further diminishes the public trust in our Congressmen, who already tote a lot of “baggage”. Term limits, no “special” health insurance, etc., etc. should also be addressed and imposed … but as long as they are entrusted to make our laws, that will never happen. Our founding fathers would be flabbergasted to see how corrupt our political system has become.
