Jersey City Officials Say Suspects In Shootout Targeted The Kosher Grocery Where 3 Jews Died. Some Local Residents Blame The Jews.

According to Jersey City officials, the suspects who engaged in a massive shootout with police on Tuesday in which three innocent Jews in a kosher grocery were murdered targeted the store and intended to harm Jews inside.
Public Safety Director James Shea stated, “There were multiple other people on the streets. There were many other targets available to them that they bypassed to attack that place. So it was, clearly, that was their target, and they intended to harm people inside there,” as NBC News reported.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop told reporters on Wednesday that security footage showed the suspects slowly rode through streets in a U-Haul van, then stopped outside the kosher grocery. He tweeted:
Last night after extensive review of our CCTV system it has now become clear from the cameras that these two individuals targeted the Kosher grocery location on MLK Dr – the 2 JCPD officers that were on a foot post one block away immediately responded/engaged and prevented the perpetrators from leaving that location and harming any further civilians. At this time we have no credible further threats from this incident but out of an abundance of caution we will be increasing our police presence in the community.

NBC News noted that one of the two suspects, both of whom were killed in the shootout, had a social media page riddled with anti-Semitic and anti-police writings. Three sources told NBC News that the suspect with the anti-Semitic and anti-police writings had been a follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement. The sources added that the van used by the suspects contained a note with religious writings.
Two of the three Orthodox Jews who were murdered have been identified as Mindel Ferencz, 33, the wife of the market owner, and Moshe Deutch, a 24-year-old rabbinical student who lives in Brooklyn, according to The New York Times. The Times added of Deutch that he “helped lead a food drive this year during the Jewish holidays and helped to feed 2,000 people.”
Rabbi Mordechai Feuerwerker, a leader in the Jersey City Hasidic community, said through tears that Deutch was “extremely kind and generous” and a “go-to person when his peers needed help,” adding, “Can you imagine a few hundred bullets went into the body of a 24-year-old child? How can we as a people, a community, bear that?”
Ronald S. Lauder, founder of the Anti-Semitism Accountability Project, said the attack was “yet another example of how Jews are being violently targeted” across the country, adding, “It’s time to hold elected officials accountable: If you enable anti-Semitism or fail to take it seriously, we will see to it that you lose re-election. We will see to it before other communities become memorials. Looking the other way never has – and never will – end well.”
Many Hasidic Jews have moved into the neighborhood where the shooting took place. Former Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, who used to represent Brooklyn’s Assembly district 48, issued a video of local residents in the Jersey City neighborhood where the shooting took place blaming the Jews for the murderous attack on them:

For the people of color to blame the Jews for this tragedy, and to ask them to be removed from the neighborhood (as do the Palestinians) is the height of inanity. These people forget that it was the Jews who stud by them during the integration debacle of the mid 1900’s, some of whom lost their lives, and that they are involved regularly in providing fairness and justice to all ethnic, cultural and racial groups. That stupid reaction does sound like anti-Semitism, and it is coming from the wrong people.

It doesn’t come from the wrong people; it comes from the people who held their antisemitic believes for generations. I came to this country in the early 1970 and was surprised by the degree of antisemitism among the Black people I worked with. That was just a few years after Jews marched with Martin Luther King and died for Black civil rights.

I used to work in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. It used to be a Jewish neighborhood in the past with the big Jewish Hospital and Synagogue across the street. Even back then it was already crime infested Black neighborhood with a Jewish enclave of Hasidic Jews, who refused to move.
That’s the place where there was an anti-Jewish pogrom during Black Mayor, Dinkins, term and were Jews are being attacked today. If those Jewish people moved from Brooklyn, they likely did not come from the safe environment.

The shooters were black. Does that mean Jews caused their being shot at for being Jews? Or is it the blacks for their own crimes? But heavens, a woman’s child had to stay inside a school safe from the shooting.
I doubt very much that shootings are unknown to that district, and that the shooters weren’t black. If she is so offended by Jews living there then SHE should move. After fumigation, I’m certain a nice Hasidic couple wouldn’t mind moving into her vacated home.

Not a surprise. I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood in Baltimore Co. I never once heard a bad thing said about blacks by my Christian family or by my Jewish neighbors. When I came back to Baltimore years later I was shocked to find out that black people hated Jewish people. In my opinion it is based on envy because of the sense of community and the success of Jewish people which are sorely lacking in the black community. When Jewish people are supportive of one another, the blacks view it as cheating to succeed. While many blacks use a past of slavery as a crutch, I never saw Jewish people do that. Instead it was a motive to educate themselves, build a successful thriving community based on faith, and help each other. Meanwhile black neighborhoods are filled with black on black violent crimes and dark skinned blacks are mistreated by light skinned blacks. All people need to take responsibility for their own actions regardless of race or religion. All pity based communities fail.

Louis Farrakhan Sr., formerly known as Louis X, is the leader of the Nation of Islam (NOI). Previously, he served as the minister of mosques in Boston and Harlem and had been appointed National Representative of the Nation of Islam by former NOI leader Elijah Muhammad.
After Warith Deen Muhammad reorganized the original NOI into the orthodox Sunni Islamic group American Society of Muslims, Farrakhan began to rebuild the NOI as “Final Call”. In 1981, he officially adopted the name “Nation of Islam”, reviving the group and establishing its headquarters at Mosque Maryam.
NOI is anti-white and anti-jewish and promotes a violent solution to achieve their goals.

Black antisemitism has been overlooked and tacitly accepted for far too long. Can you imagine the outcry if there was a shooting attack and killing at the Black own store by Jews and the Jews on the street would put the blame on Blacks for moving into a neighborhood? That video would have been on your tv screen for months, Sharpton would lead protests and every white, especially Jewish, politician and clergymen would be condemning the attack.
