Once again we are subjected to the violent suppression of speech of others in accordance with Islamic law. Norway should tell Pakistan to back off – in fact, the West should make this perfectly clear to the Muslim world. We have fundamental freedoms in the West and we will not abridge over freedoms in submission to violent intimidation.
On November 23, it was reported that Norway’s Minister of Justice, Jøran Kallmyr said, “Prosecutors have determined that burning the Koran can become a crime.”
Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen, Norway’s ambassador to Pakistan, according to NRK’s evening news show Dagsrevyen, had been “called on the carpet” because of the Koran burning. Officials at the department of foreign affairs in Islamabad ordered Eriksen to convey to his superiors in Oslo the “deep concern” of the Pakistani government and people over the act of “desecration.” Eriksen, in response, underscored that Norwegian authorities utterly deplore the Koran burning and that the police had put an end to the demonstration. So it was that the representative of a purportedly free country fell all over himself assuring officials of an “Islamic Republic” that, at least when Islam is in the picture, freedom of speech and of assembly in Norway have their limits.

Worse still, Muslims around the world are praising the violent attack on rally organized by Stop Islamisation of Norway (SIAN) in the southern city of Kristiansand last weekend.
So terribly wrong.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced. Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear, while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.
Islamic law forbids criticism of Islam, Quran, Muhammad. If they cannot be criticized in the US, we are in effect accepting Islamic law as overriding the freedom of speech. This would establish Muslims as a protected class and prevent honest discussion of how Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism.
Any criticism of jihad terror that examines its ideological roots in Islam is called Islamophobia, The word is used to intimidate people into thinking there is something wrong with opposing jihad terror. This deforms our response to terrorism by placing off-limits any examination of its guiding ideology, and effectively enforces Sharia blasphemy laws in the US by placing Islam, Quran, Muhammad beyond criticism.
If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power, and a free society is destroyed. A group that cannot be criticized cannot be opposed. It can work its will no matter what it is, and no one will be able to say anything to stop it.
I do not support book burnings. Nazis burn books. The antidote to bad speech is more speech. That said, I defend to the death, this man’s right to burn the book.
A free society is by its nature one in which people put up with others being uncivil and offensive. The alternative is a quiet authoritarian society in which only one opinion is allowed and the others are silenced, and ultimately sent to the camps.
Pakistan summons Norwegian Ambassador amid outcry over Koran burning at rally in Kristiansand

Islamabad expressed “deep concern” and launched a diplomatic action over the burning of the Koran in Norway, while the man who tried to save the book earned high praise on Pakistani social media.
Last week, a young Muslim counter-protester tackled Lars Thorsen, the head of the Stop Islamization of Norway (SIAN), after he set a copy of the Koran on fire at an anti-Muslim rally in the city of Kristiansand. The video of the incident caused a strong reaction in Pakistan, where the man reportedly named Ilyas Umer was hailed as hero on social media for trying to “save” the most-revered book in Islam.
The nation’s Foreign Ministry even summoned the Norwegian Ambassador over the weekend to tell him that Thorsen’s actions “hurt the sentiments of 1.3 billion Muslims around the world, including those in Pakistan.”
The Ministry said that Koran-burning “could not be justified in the name of freedom of expression,” and urged Oslo to “prevent” such incidents from happening in the future.
Also on rt.com Norwegian anti-Islam rally turns violent over KORAN BURNING An online petition was launched, calling on the police to release the man, dubbed “Ilyas the Koran Defender.”
The army’s spokesperson Asif Ghafoor also took to his personal Twitter account praise him for trying to stop Thorsen. “Salute to brave #Ilyas for displaying courage to stop an absolutely deplorable action,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, protesters burnt Norwegian and US flags in Karachi, denouncing what they said was the desecration of the Koran.
Anti-Muslim actions overseas have in the past sparked demonstrations in Pakistan. In 2010, rallies were held in Pakistani cities after controversial Florida-based pastor Terry Jones announced plans to burn the Koran. Two years later, a massive protest was staged in front of the US embassy in Karachi against the American film ‘Innocence of Muslims’, which was deemed blasphemous by the local Muslim community.

What is it about moslems (the vilest of ALL creatures) that makes them attack in packs of eight or more. I would have loved seeing the ending, if it was only that first boar hog (moslem male) against that one human being. That would have been an exciting ending.

Around eight miles from my residence, there is a MACE izslumic center. I used to go in and ask them about mohammedanism and they’d ALWAYS give me a free copy of the queeranne. The number of queerane “dunking” parties that they supplied …. Unfortunately, they stopped giving out free queerannes. I wonder why?

That’s great, Ach ! I’ve never been to or even gone near the massive musk in Boston (the largest in New England, actually), probably due to the temptation of leaving a pack of Oscar Meyer bacon on it’s doorstep….but the thought of going inside and asking for a free copy of the “holy book” for burning or dunking purposes never even crossed my mind. That’s outright BRILLIANT !!

Here’s how a “dunking party” works. Three years ago, one of my tenants, actually a couple, lived across the street from two residents of Cleveland Clinic. The male was a pakky boar hog and the female was a pakky sow. I had made the grave mistake, three years prior, of renting to a moslem “doctor” couple. HUGE mistake. In furtherance to the “dunking party” story. Those two vile moslems had a litter of three little boar hogs. Those piglets were constantly bothering my tenants …. going on their property, making noise, being rather destructive, such as tossing rocks at their house (actually MY house) and at their cars. When my tenants attempted to deal with the parents about their piglets actions, the sow actually called them “racist” and “islamophobe”.
I got to know this couple rather well … Actually, they’re still my tenants. They rent the same house that an egyp and pakky had rented, both were residents at University Hospital. Lots of doctors in the neighborhood, as it’s relatively close to both the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals main campuses.
When they told me about the situation, I thought up a “dunking party”. They called ALL kinds of their friends and acquaintances … People with a similar mindset. So, I went over rather early, set up two smokers and a grill. I started smoking pork loin at around 8 am. When people started arriving, the beer started flowing. After everyone had sufficiently dined, we went into the front yard.
Out came buckets (three) of … a rather nasty mixture. I had brought along a few bull horns … and we rehearsed the chant … “There is but one satan and his name is allah. And, the lowest and MOST COWARDLY of his demons is mohammed.
When the moslems came outside, to see what was going on, The chanting REALLY commenced. And, I announced that the “dunking ceremony”. Three queerannes. … three buckets … and two queerannes held as backups. The contents of the buckets were described, over a bull horn, and the queerannes were ceremoniously dropped into the buckets.
The moslems called the police. At this time, it was around 4, in the afternoon. And, for this municipality, the excessive noise ordinance does not go into effect until 9 pm.
The poeleese could do NOTHING. No law was broken. Quite a few, in attendance were exercising Nohio’s Open Carry. The poeleese acknowledged that there was nothing that could be done. It was on my property, duly leased and rented by the party’s host.
We made it clear that unless their piglets actions changed …. A “dunking party” would be a weekly event. The moslems moved within two months. And, prior to that, their litter was well behaved.

That was then. This is now. I no longer get in the face of a moslem. The last time that I did so, was three or four years ago, when I walked up to a moslem, in a dirty nightshirt, that was surrounded by sows in body bags. I asked him if they were ninjas and where was the costume party. I’ve somewhat given up on that type of thing.

Unbelievable attack by demon possessed souls on this man for expressing free speech. If I saw someone burning a King James Bible I would silently pray and intercede for them, asking Jesus to make His great salvation and mercy very real and personal to someone whose mind is manipulated and controlled by the devil. That is the love of Christ shown to me that I want to share with a lost person. But since ” a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump” I would also do my best politically to keep them out of my country. The UN migration pact is a major tool of the devil.

i don’t think Norway has a bill of rights, but being half Norwegian makes me ashamed. Hopefully my love of freedom must be cultural and not genetic due being born and raised in America. It says the police held him for questioning. What he did was open, honest, and non violent. They should have arrested the two muslims and deported them back to the country of origin.

Norway is returning to the legacy of its own traitor, Vidkun Quisling, the NAZI collaborator who would have made it illegal to burn the Koran too since the Arabs/Muslims were considered NAZI Germany’s allies! Congrats on them becoming Sharia compliant! How much respect does the government of Pakistan give to Christians? Not much! In fact their outspoken Minister of Minority Religions was martyred during the Obama Administration right in the parking lot of the government building where he worked in his car after he gave a series of anti-Pakistan interviews where he revealed how unfair the government was in its treatment of Christians!
Notice everybody how the Islamics ganged up on this one Norse dude for burning their holy book? They obviously have experience in fighting and swarming others while the Norse guy wasn’t used to fighting which says it all!
