106 Democratic House members decry White House’s softened stance on settlements
In letter to Pompeo, legislators say move discredits the United States as an honest broker, hurts peace hopes, endangers security of America, Israel, and the Palestinians

Over 100 Democratic House members on Friday excoriated the Trump administration for softening its position on Israel’s West Bank settlements.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday announced that “the establishment of Israeli civilian settlements in the West Bank is not per se inconsistent with international law,” breaking with decades of US policy.
The move, legislators wrote in a letter to Pompeo, made the possibility of an Israel-Palestinian peace agreement more difficult and hurt America’s interests in the Middle East.
“The announcement… has discredited the United States as an honest broker between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, severely damaged prospects for peace, and endangered the security of America, Israel, and the Palestinian people,” the letter says.
Orchestrated by Michigan Representative Andy Levin, a freshman Democrat, the missive was signed by several other prominent members of Congress, including Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, Rhode Island Representative David Cicilline, Maryland Representative Jamie Raskin, Michigan Representative Rashida Tlaib, and others.
The lawmakers warned that the Trump administration’s decision “blatantly disregards Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention” regarding the rules governing the actions of an occupying power.
“In ignoring international law,” the letter says, “this administration has undermined America’s moral standing and sent a dangerous administration to those who do not share our values: human rights and international law, which have governed the international order and protected US troops and civilians since 1949, no longer apply.”
The liberal Mideast advocacy group J Street supported the letter.
“The administration’s decision to effectively legitimize illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank is designed to obstruct the two-state solution and could pave the way for unilateral Israeli annexation,” the group’s president, Jeremy Ben-Ami, said in a statement.

8 million Jews live in Israel now. So, you are saying that you want to make Judea and Samaria a Jew free zone and that is okay because not all of 15 million Jews would die. Right? How is it different from what Hitler aspired to in 1930’s?
Few Jews might disagree with overwhelming majority of those who support Israel, but there were few Jews who voted for Hitler and were cooperating with Nazis during WWII. There was even Jewish Luftwaffe general Helmuth Wilberg. Goring re-classified that putz as an “Aryan”, that is how valuable he was to him.
So, your arguments are flawed, but they reveal who you really are, and it is not a pretty picture of an “honest broker” you were trying to paint.

You are Nazi-like Jew hater, no doubt about that. Parts of Judea and Samaria were Jew-free zone only between 1948 and 1967 when Islamo-fascist regimes captured some of those territories. But Jews lived in those lands for millennia and were a majority in Jerusalem for many many years, including its east part, where Arabs imported by King Abdulah from Jordan in violation of Geneva convention live now. By the way, there are no “Arab free zones” in Israel. Israeli Arabs, Christians and Muslim, are productive citizens which enjoy equal rights with the rest of Israeli population. They are the most educated and prosperous Arab population in the region and, despite propaganda, are proud Israelis. I don’t know in which madrassa did you get your education, but it wasn’t worth of any kind of money. LOL!

After years of Palestinian terrorism and futile negotiations with its corrupt leaders, its time to recognize that the “two-state solution” is an advertising slogan, not an actual solution. Palestinians will never settle or agree to live under Israeli (Jewish) rule. They don’t have any interest in a two-state solution or any solution where Israel continues to exist. Instead they desperately cling to terrorism and handouts in a delusional attempt to destroy The State of Israel. This is utter madness yet for over 45 years, the West has pandered to the Palestinians.
If the Palestinians were not fighting Jews, this would have been resolved years ago. The 1948 arab war against the newly formed State of Israel started this conflict and a war will end it. It’s only a matter of time.

A majority of Americans will never know the TRUE history of Israel and the Jewish people because they can’t still long enough to read it or they don’t believe it because of what they were previously taught. Hitler got his Nazis to infiltrate Israel and the Palestinian Imams and people to do all these horrendous things. At first, Germany allowed a number of Jews to migrate to Israel just to get rid of them and then when Germany found out that they were living well in Israel, they decided to keep them in gulags and camps ready for putting them all to death. Those who were sent to Israel had to find someone to sponsor them and the Jewish people already in Israel, took Jewish strangers in to help them. That wasn’t enough for the Nazis. They began killing the Jews in Israel and when Israel became its own nation in 1948, the Palestinian people went nuts and began a rampage to murder as many Jews as they could. Up sprung a lot of Jewish spies, who helped Israel by infiltrating the Palestinians and the Nazis. If this had not happened, Israel would have been destroyed. BUT GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL AND HE PROTECTED ISRAEL AND IS STILL PROTECTING ISRAEL.
