EPIC FAIL: President Trump’s “impeachment” OPPOSED by more independents: poll

7

This will drive the demented Dems cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

A devastating blow as the effort backfires on Democrats (The Hill). After another bad week for Schiff, nobody knows what their next move will be (Washington Times). Another story claims “At a meeting with top GOP senators and Trump administration officials at the White House on Thursday afternoon, Fox News is told there was a consensus that should Trump be impeached by the House, the GOP-controlled Senate should hold a trial rather than tabling the issue” (Fox News).  Andrew McCarthy explains why Schiff’s bribery claim doesn’t fly (National Review). Devin Nunes says it’s not Trump but “it’s the Democrats who got caught” (Daily Caller). From Michael Medved: With break in the hearings, impeachment push still seems misguided, but more investigation is not. #Trump‘s mishandling of the Ukraine connection not really in dispute; question involves consequences. Must be a middle ground between ignoring wrong-doing, and over-reacting to it! (Twitter). From David Harsanyi:  If selling conspiracy theories to the American public for partisan reasons were a crime, Representative Adam Schiff would be serving consecutive life sentences in Supermax (National Review). From Byron York: Still baffled that House Dems withdrew subpoena to top Bolton aide, did not subpoena Bolton. Testimony clearly a decision for courts. Could have been weeks into process now. But Dems balked. Gives impression they’re in a rush (Twitter). This very entertaining video contains years’ worth of “this is the end of Trump” media hype (Twitter).

Trump’s impeachment opposed by more independents: poll

By Bob Fredericks, NY Post, November 21, 2019 |

Story continues below advertisement

Opposition to the House Democrats’ drive to impeach President Trump is growing, as 45 percent of national voters oppose the measure versus 43 percent who support it, according to a poll released Thursday.

The results from the Emerson College survey — which come after several days of open testimony by witnesses organized by Democrats — represent a 6-point swing from Emerson’s October poll released while the House impeachment probe was going on behind closed doors.

At the time, 48 percent of voters supported impeaching the president, compared to 44 percent who opposed.

The biggest swing was among independents, who oppose impeachment now by 49 percent to 34 percent, a reversal from October when they supported impeachment by 48-39.

The poll found that 69 percent of American voters were watching the televised impeachment hearings.

Meanwhile, the president’s support in the Republican primary increased this month to 93 percent against former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld and former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh.

Overall, 48 percent of voters polled approved of the job Trump is doing, while 46 percent disapproved.

The Emerson College poll was conducted from Nov. 17-20 and surveyed 1,092 voters nationally.

Of those polled, nearly 34 percent, or 369 people, were registered Republicans. Roughly 37 percent, or 401 people, were registered Democrats. The poll has a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.

The Emerson survey is the second one released this week that shows favorable results for Trump.

A Marquette Law School poll released on Wednesday found that just 40 percent of voters in the swing state of Wisconsin thought Trump should be impeached compared to 53 percent who felt he should not.

Similar to the Emerson poll, since the impeachment hearings became public, the number of voters who oppose impeachment have increased since Marquette’s October poll.

The Marquette poll, which interviewed 801 registered Wisconsin voters from Nov. 13-17, has a margin of error of 4.1 percentage points.

Indeed, deeming the Democrats’ wanton endeavor to impeach President Trump as an epic failure is fitting; however, the witch hunt by the apostate Democratic Party is far from over. One can not trust the schizoid, two-faced Democrats, nor its gaggle of embedded confederates who were hell-bent on usurping Trump previous to his winning the Presidential election of 2016. The Democratic Party, a Party whose political principles are not Democratic but Autocratic/Totalitarian.

The Democrats are no more than the Party of sedition, enabled by a web of operatives/moles under its authority. It is too hasty to state this impeachment has failed. The unscrupulousness of the Democrats is fathomless. The Party deems and acts as if it is above the law, the Constitution, thus far, they are proven right. Ironically, America finds itself in a war of good versus evil; the Democratic-Marxist-Nazi Party has no ‘rules of engagement,’ akin to those of Islam, Nazism, or others of its draconian persuasion. The time has come for the President and those whom he can trust to take off the proverbial gloves and defeat the Democrats at their game. The Democrats are not above the law; it is time to inform, to educate ‘We the People’ of the Democrats’ endless corruption, perfidy, and clear-cut treason.

Agree. If Trump is smart enough , he should pass E.O to ban all terror/crime/illegal/drug linked persons from coming to America and those who advocate for them should lose their assets/citizenship and deported/jailed as terror agents.

Unless this is done there will be never ending cases . And America will become like canada/EU

Like this Left/Liberal Loons Run Country has been turned into ISIS/jihadi base https://tinyurl.com/y74v5327

But corrupt MSM will not talk about it

Playing defense won’t help win , its time to go on the offense against the corrupt Left/liberal mafia.

Good post, Suresh; I am not the most positive guy on the planet, especially these days. I fear, if the Democrats steal the election, they, after all, are so damn corrupt and treasonous America and its northern neighbor will have a lot in common. Not to overlook Islam’s EU caliphate.

Is it just me or does Schiff refuse to even look to his left at the Republicans? When he talks to them he looks straight into the camera. When he listens to them he looks straight into the camera. When addressing some point they raise, or when he shuts down their question or witness he won’t look at them.

Such is his hatred.

My big question is how do Democrats and their supporters not see this whole thing as a sham (or as my spell check just changed it: scam)?

About the Democratic Party:
«I have never been too party man and, the more I learn about the realities of national politics, the more I become convinced that the Democratic Party is an atavism, rather an obstacle than a means of transportation, and nothing will change in American politics until the Democratic Party will be over.» Hunter Thompson, 1972

It would be very bad for President Trump to be impeached by the House of Representatives. That has tremendous meaning separate from a Senate trail which may avoid removal from office. The Democrats have a party-line vote-majority to impeach President Trump. And it can and will be said, as it was with former President Clinton, that he was impeached by the House of Representatives. Let’s be clear that a party-line vote to leave him in office would be a bad result politically: He must a get large number of Democrats who vote “no” after a trial.

In political terms, vote to impeach by the House of Representatives is a victory for Democrats.

Ask yourself: exactly how many “never-Trumpers” are there in the Senate?
