Wolf Blitzer got an earful this morning on CNN after he played the comments of Kellyanne Conway and then turned around and asked her to respond to them:

Here’s the important part of what she said to Blitzer:
Conway continued: …you embarrassed yourself and I’m embarrassed for you, because this is CNN now? I looked up to you when I was in college and law school, I would turn on CNN to see what Wolf Blitzer had to say about war, famine, disruption abroad. I really respected you.”

I think Kellyanne has this exactly right, that Blitzer and others at CNN thought this would be a great way to stick it to her. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a recording of Zucker calling down and telling Wolf to do this to Kellyanne.
And Blitzer’s little justification at the end about James Carville and Mary Matalin was pathetic. Everyone knows that there’s a public tension between Kellyanne and her disrespectful, angry husband, who apparently loves to see her have to answer for his hateful remarks about Trump. It’s not the same at all.

I bring good news! CNN’s days are numbered just assuredly as cable television! Their only hope was their airport monopoly and fortunately, even the airports aren’t buying their bs anymore. Here’s the rub: Cable is kaputski. Hence they are going to need to charge their airport conglomerates more. However, the airports aren’t even willing to pay more for their garbage news when they don’t need to, not when C-SPAN and such is streaming free. Contracts, blah blah blah. But contracts run out. They did it to themselves.
