Nervous Nancy Pelosi announces Trump impeachment inquiry vote, here’s what next

23

The Senate passed a nonbinding Senate resolution that calls for the House to hold a vote to open the impeachment inquiry, provide Trump with “due process” and give House Republicans subpoena power.

The treasonous Dems have been calling for impeachment from the day President Trump took office. These people are nuts …… and dangerous to our freedom-loving country.

Pelosi announces Trump impeachment inquiry vote – Here’s what I am on the lookout for now

FOX News, By Newt Gingrich, October 29, 2019:

Story continues below advertisement

Senator Lindsey Graham has created a new reality for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Graham has written a powerful resolution which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell joined in co-sponsoring. Together they have attracted 50 co-sponsors – which means with Vice President Pence supporting them they would win a vote to dismiss any phony impeachment from the House that failed to meet a key standard of fairness.

The resolution:

  • “calls on the House of Representatives, prior to proceeding any further with its impeachment investigation into President Trump, to vote to initiate a formal impeachment inquiry;
  • calls on the House of Representatives to provide President Trump, like every other American, with due process, to include the ability to confront his accusers, call witnesses on his behalf, and have a basic understanding of the accusations against him that would form any basis for impeachment; and
  • calls on the House of Representatives to provide members of the minority with the ability to participate fully in all proceedings and have equal authority to issue subpoenas and other compulsory process.”

Faced with this new reality, Speaker Pelosi suddenly ended months of avoiding a vote on the impeachment process and announced today that the House would vote this week.

REP. JORDAN SAYS HOUSE IMPEACHMENT VOTE WON’T CHANGE ANYTHING: DEMS ‘PUTTING LIPSTICK ON THE PIG’

As a practical matter, the House Democrats had no choice but to bring the impeachment process to a vote. They were faced with a Trump administration that refused to cooperate with a secret investigation which lacked rules and authorization by the full House. They were also faced with a Senate that was prepared to reject a kangaroo court-style secret approach.

However, the next test for Speaker Pelosi and the House Democrats will concern the kind of resolution they bring to the floor.

The House Democrats have a clear model of a fair, systematic bipartisan approach in the rules adopted by the Democrats in 1973 and by the Republicans in 1998. Former Democratic Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Peter Rodino of New Jersey developed a bipartisan set of rules in 1973 during the Nixon impeachment proceedings. Rodino’s rules allowed the White House Counsel to be present at all hearings – including those held in secret. They also allowed the Republican minority to offer subpoenas to bring in the witnesses they wanted in addition to the witnesses the Democrats wanted.

When we were faced with an impeachment process in 1998, we sent a congressman to interview then-retired Chairman Rodino, and we literally adopted all of his rules.

So, there is a bipartisan precedent for a fair, orderly approach to the impeachment process.

If Speaker Pelosi offers a resolution which includes these precedents – and if her resolution answers the 10 questions Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has written posed to her – then it is possible the impeachment process will be back on a bipartisan track.

If, however, Speaker Pelosi introduces a resolution to continue the secret kangaroo court-Star Chamber-partisan approach Representative Adam Schiff has adopted, then the vote will be meaningless.

If the House Democrats fail to heed the warning of the Graham-McConnell Resolution, they will be setting up all their efforts to be dismissed out of hand by the senators who have called on them for real reforms in the current impeachment process.

Graham and McConnell have already had a big impact in just a few days. They are now poised to judge whether the Democrats’ proposed rules represent real fairness and real bipartisanship or are simply more of the same dishonest, secretive, one-sided baloney Schiff has served up so far.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of resolution Speaker Pelosi brings forward.

They were faced with a Trump administration that refused to cooperate with a secret investigation which lacked rules and authorization by the full House.

So does that mean that now the inquiry is moving into the open, that the Trump administration will start cooperating with the impeachment process? Take any bets??

This new tactic is just another step towards the ignominy of this entire fraudulent and baseless process of impeachment. The bottom line is their are no facts which even come close to meeting the constitutional mandate that is required to find any political elected official, and in this case POTUS, of impeachable offense. As the President is given the requirement of conducting foreign affairs, he can investigate any factor that establishes that improper conduct might have been used to influence any out come, and that includes the conduct of a Vice President and his son who might have wrongfully benefited from their positions and a foreign government that might have tried to influence our elections, etc. Therefore there can be no legitimate basis, although it establishes further proof that the Democrats and the media are still outraged by the loss of the 2016 Presidential election and their conduct is still related thereto. I can only hope that the electorate is now seeing their conduct for what it is, and will conclude and recognize all this President has done to benefit our American society, and will vote out of office the obstructionist un-productive Democrats in the next election.

The whole thing is a sham. Will the average voter get it? Most are busy going about their lives. What worries me is that it is understandable the average voter will not wade through the weeds to figure out and try to understand what the DEMS are up to. It is convoluted and tedious. What makes it worse is a complicit liberal media obscuring the truth about what is going on. Even FOX is not getting it right…

Unfortunately Fox News Continues Deliberate Misinformation…
Posted on October 30, 2019 by sundance

Moments ago Fox News host Shannon Bream promoted a segment on her news program outlining the pending House ‘Impeachment Inquiry’ resolution scheduled for tomorrow.

During the broadcast segment Bream stated, falsely, that President Trump would be granted the following participatory measures as an outcome of the resolution:

This is deliberately false information. The resolution does not convey any of the outlined measures to the Executive Branch. Rather, as previously outlined, the resolution provides the possibility for executive branch participation –AFTER– the intelligence committee sends their report to the Judiciary Committee at some unknown future date.

You can read the resolution and truthful explanation here.

That’s what worries me too. There are definitely sectors of the American people who are extremely fickle, flighty, wobbly, weak-minded, and possessed of very short memories of what life was like under Barack Hussein “Pen and Phone” Obama. Combine that with the toxic leftist media brainwashing, and you have a poisonous brew brewing. I call it the “Olive Oyl syndrome.”

As for Fox, they’ve been compromised increasingly since 2005 when Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bought a share in parent News Corp. – and have gone even further to “the dark side” since Rupert Murdoch’s sons, James and Lachlan (both leftists, I.I.N.M.), took over control of that channel.

Details of House “Impeachment Inquiry” Resolution – Rules for Open HPSCI Hearing(s), Lawfare Staff Questioning, and Transfer to Nadler…
Posted on October 29, 2019 by sundance

Slick moves by Pelosi and Schiff’s Lawfare team. Today the contracted legal staff within House Intelligence Committee have produced a House “Impeachment Inquiry” resolution to be voted on tomorrow. The resolution (full pdf below) contains the rules constructed by Shiff’s Lawfare staff, for public HPSCI hearings.

The House impeachment resolution blocks President Trump’s lawyers from participating in the House process until the hand-off to the Judiciary Committee for article assembly.
(Nothing has changed.)

Within the House resolution is a process to transfer the evidence from the three investigative committee chairs: Schiff, Engel and Maloney, to Jerry Nadler at Judiciary. [The process within Judicary will be assembling the ‘articles of impeachment’.]

What Pelosi/Schiff et al have assembled is a format for a highly controlled public spectacle prior to a predetermined transfer of evidence to Jerry Nadler (Judicary). With the intent to construct a pantomime for public absorption in mind, the rules are written for maximum narrative construction. [ex. Lawfare lawyers will question witnesses]

The rules within the resolution outline the guidance for at least one public hearing from the HPSCI prior to transfer to Judiciary. The Oversight Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee and Intelligence Committee are assembling publicly under the House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) for that/those public hearing(s).

Key points from rules:
(It is so rigged it is grotesquely LAUGHABLE!)

* The Executive Branch will not be permitted to participate in the open HPSCI hearing.
* President Trump lawyers will not be permitted to question witnesses in the open HPSCI hearing.
* Ranking member of HPSCI (Nunes) may have subpoena power subject to pre-approval by Chairman
Adam Schiff. Requests must be made in writing. Chair is not mandated to approve.

* Ranking member of HPSCI (Nunes) may have ability to request witnesses subject to pre-approval by
Chairman Adam Schiff. Requests must be made in writing. Chair is not mandated to approve.

* Schiff (Chairman) and Nunes (Ranking member) will each have 90 minutes (aggregate) to question any witness
brought before the committee. All other committee members will have 5 minutes each, per witness. [Remember
this is a member assembly of 3 committees]
* The Chairman can allow contracted legal staff (Lawfare) to question witnesses, as part of his 90-minutes of available questioning.
* The Chair is authorized, though not required, to make depositions public.
* Upon completion of the hearing(s), the HPSCI chairman shall write a **report to the Judiciary (Nadler) with instructions of findings. The chair may include dissent from the minority opinion therein.
[**Note: IMHO this report has already been written. That was the purpose for the basement hearings. All of this public testimony is for public consumption to support the premise of a constitutional impeachment proceedings. It’s a farce.]

* The resolution then provides a process for the HPSCI report to transfer all of the assembled tri-committee
material to the House Judiciary Committee where Jerry Nadler will take over.
* The next part of the resolution is the House approving of the transfer process, and setting up rules for the
Judiciary Committee phase. The Judiciary Committee (HJC) then shifts to official Impeachment Hearings, prior to
articles of impeachment being assembled.

* The HJC Ranking member (Doug Collins) shall have subpoena power subject to approval by the HJC Chair, Jerry Nadler.
* The HJC ranking member shall have the ability to request witness testimony, subject to approval by the HJC Chair, Jerry Nadler.
* The HJC will allow participation by President Trump’s counsel.
( But DEMS CONTROL everything because, IT IS ALL SUBJECT TO THEIR APPROVAL!)

And drive us further down the same road as many a corrupt Latin American banana republic of old which had coups des etats every 15 minutes or so – and more importantly, the Roman Empire in its last years when, after an Emperor was installed and he so much as looked at just one member of the Praetorian Guard the wrong way, was automatically a dead duck. Schiff, Nadler, the Deep State, the Democrat-media complex . . . all are today’s version of the Roman Praetorian Guard.

I did not associate this COUP attempt with the Roman Praetorian Guard. I more associate it with the Roman Senate. It is recorded history – – when/if you crossed them they did a “Et tu Brute” themselves.

The bottom line is they are creating rules, blurring and destroying the separation of power between the branches and their responsibility. Sure you have a Constitution but this is what they are doing to it –

This behavior of the CONS in the current CON-gress is nothing but a THEATRICAL PRODUCTION. Americans ARE PAYING FOR THIS via our TAX DOLLARS collected by the BUREAUCRATIC CONTROLLED IRS.
What is not mentioned is; ANY and ALL information gathered BEFORE the “vote”, to make it LEGAL, is all HEARSAY and CANNOT and MUST NOT be used in ANY procedures after the “vote” is taken. ALL of the NAMES of the VOTERS MUST RECORDED and ATTACHED and made PUBLIC!

Adam Schiff’s latest “change the rules” resolutions are the latest deceitful Democrat attempt to legitimize their court of public opinion where hearsay is accepted as evidence, and a duly elected president will be tried without due process. Schiff’s resolutions establish a kangaroo court that is disgusting, desperate, unprecedented, and completely unAmerican. Schiff needs these shifty resolutions to protect himself and his conspirators from the transparency that fairness, open meetings, and the rules followed in every previous presidential impeachment proceeding provided. The dirty Democrats are moving the goalpost because President Trump is draining their swamp, exposing their corruption, and because Trump is unbeatable in 2020.

The Demoncrats aren’t putting lipstick on a pig.
What they are doing is putting lipstick and a wig on their $29.95 mail order love doll.
No matter how well they treat it, it’s still a twisted fantasy.
