Hypocrite Pelosi calls Trump’s planned withdrawal from northern Syria ‘a deeply disturbing development’

29

It is fair to debate the merits of President Trump’s decision to withdraw American troops from Syria. However, it is also fair to expose the hypocrisy of the thoroughly vile Speaker Pelosi, who recently condemned President Trump’s decision on Twitter.

On Twitter Pelosi stated “Once again, @realDonaldTrump is deserting an ally in a foolish attempt to appease a foreign strongman – this time betraying our Kurdish allies who have been instrumental partners in our mission to eradicate ISIS.”  Incredible.

Did Pelosi ever dare issue a statement of condemnation against Erdogan, when he was bombing Syria’s Kurdish population during the Obama administration? Did Pelosi ever condemn President Obama for stating that Erdogan was among the leaders (one of five) that he was able to forge “bonds of trust” with? Did Pelosi refer to Erdogan as a “foreign strongman” then? No, she did not. Pelosi never cared about the Kurdish population in Syria, and still doesn’t to this day. Pelosi only cares about vilifying President Trump for political purposes.

Story continues below advertisement

As for betraying allies, Pelosi consistently turned a blind eye to President Obama’s ongoing betrayal of Israel. The Obama administration vilified Israel publicly on numerous occasions, while the sniveling coward Pelosi remained silent. In fact, Pelosi publicly supported Obama’s genocidal JCPOA, despite the outcry from the Israeli government. Pelosi also supported the anti-Israel UN resolution 2334, which Obama orchestrated during the lame duck period of his presidency. In addition, Pelosi still refuses to endorse significant anti-BDS legislation, and still refuses to take action against Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar for their anti-Semitic attacks against Israel.

Speaker Pelosi is the last person to lecture anyone on Syria’s Kurdish population, or betraying allies, or appeasing foreign strongman. It will be a joyful day in November of 2020 when Nancy Pelosi loses her speakership.

Pelosi calls Trump’s planned withdrawal from northern Syria ‘a deeply disturbing development’

By The Hill, October 8, 2019:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Monday blasted President Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from northern Syria ahead of an invasion by Turkey, calling it “deeply disturbing.”

“The President’s decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Northern Syria is a deeply disturbing development that betrays our Kurdish allies who have been instrumental partners in our mission to eradicate ISIS,” Pelosi said in a statement.

“Despite what the President might say, ISIS remains a serious threat. This reckless, misguided decision undermines the efforts by our brave servicemembers and our allies to end ISIS’s tyranny,” she said.

Pelosi added that Trump is deserting an ally while attempting to appease Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, whom she calls an “authoritarian strongman,” by turning “operational responsibility” in the region over to Ankara.

“President Trump has abandoned our Kurdish partners,” said.

“This decision poses a dire threat to regional security and stability, and sends a dangerous message to Iran and Russia, as well as our allies, that the United States is no longer a trusted partner.”

Pelosi, “betraying our Kurdish allies who have been instrumental partners in our mission to eradicate ISIS”. The Kurds have 10000 die hard jihadis in concentration camps that must be costing them a fortune? So somebody must be paying the Kurds to look after these terrorists to be used at a later stage to start wars? If the Kurds were indeed “eradicating ISIS” then surely they should have killed these terrorists by now?

It’s a pretty good bet that Russia which has a treaty with Syria will help out the Kurds – or lose face by not honoring the Treaty.

Remember Turkey has shot down and killed captured Russian pilots – shot down over Syrian territory The Kurds were unable to get to the pilots to rescue them in time.

Trump has pointed out that Turkey could handle this very badly – that’s not just words

Ths will get very interesting.

I believe Putin also has a stake in these 10000 terrorists in Syria because some Russians and Ukrainians are refusing to fight each other in Ukraine, so Putin will need some “outside help” if the war in Ukraine escalates or de-escalates. The ChiComs also need “mercenaries” in Africa for their One Belt One Road Initiative; I believe that ChiComs have indirectly massacred people in Africa who have tried to block their “initiative”. This theory can explain why so many governments are supporting the war in Syria?

I agree something is not right. Why would you imprison and feed the very people that murdered and tortured thousands of your people. These sadistic disgusting followers of ISIS should have been shot on sight along with the ISIS ‘brides’, not captured, so they may have the possibility of re-building the caliphate.

Bombing Mecca and Medina, no matter how much I would like to see it, would simply mobilize all of the so called “moderate” muslims in the west and the world and create a worldwide civil and general war and as “we” then supposedly started it the left will do their very best to help them. Not a sensible idea …yet!

Just the sort of prattle you can expect from a Democrat. Don’t forget, they are the ones who got us knee-deep into Vietnam under LBJ with the non-existent Gulf of Tonkin incident. It never happened but was used as our justification to jump headlong into a quagmire.

56,000 dead for a lie. Untold numbers with terrible physical injuries, drug addictions, PTSD from the horrors they encountered. 10 years after the end of the war I personally saw men at Walter Reed with no arms and no legs. Others had no legs and moved around by using their arms to push forward while their body was mounted on a small, wheeled platform.

One major problem we have in America is that the truth is always suppressed by the controlled media. We get a fake explanation and none involved with wrongdoing is ever prosecuted. Whistleblowers are imprisoned or sent to mental hospitals. Then the country goes back to normal until the banksters, corrupt politicians, and war profiteers desire a huge infusion of money into their enormous wealth. When are the American sheeple going to say no to bombing and killing as our biggest industry? We would be a very wealthy people without these parasites who destroy us and the world.

Yeah – Obama + Hilliary created ISIS in the 1st place and the Benghazi coverup once they had Ambassador Stevens eliminated from blowing the whistle on their dirty treasonous deeds done for their Globalist masters to force the Euro-peon invasion by turning the Middle East into a genocide zone…

The Far-Left are a deeply evil treasonous anti-American entity.

The entire “Arab Spring” was an event orchestrated by the Obama and Hillary to remove the Arab Strongmen from leadership and usher in Arab extremists in their place. One of the results has been the Syria Civil War that has cost hundreds of thousands of lives and millions of refugees storming into Europe. This is Turkeys backyard and the Turks should be responsible for security in this vast area that was only a hundred years ago part of their Empire. Moreover, the Turks have a fearsome reputation among the Arabs and a demonstrated ability to curtail and control extrtemists.

Trump’s wrong on this one. I served there in ’05. The Peshmerga Kurds deserve our protection. They’ve earned it in blood. I am shamed by Trump and I voted for him.

I know much about muslims. My entire neighbourhood of London has been colonised by them.

I have known them on their home grounds of Egypt and Iran. Your war stories won’t change a single word of the koran.

For nearly 14 hundred years they have been religious barbarians and there will never be peace in the world until they have either forced us to convert or slaughtered us.

If the Kurds you fought with were not muslims then that is another matter. But Pew Research tells me 98% of Iraqi Kurds are sunni and 2% are shiia. I suspect the demographics are much the same for the other nations where they live.

Everyone knows ‘one good muslim’ – but so long as they regard the koran as the immutable word of God there can never be any ‘good muslims.’

Haaa! Finally a Brit who will call a spade a spade. Proud of you, but ironic, considering that y’all and the French created most of the problems in the region w/Sikes-Picot. Regardless, most everything you say is true. I was a Mid-East Sp. for several years, studied Arabic, been to Egypt, Kuwait & Iraq and through your neighborhood when we lived in UK. Looked like the souks in Cairo or Islamabad.

However, with the exception of the PKK, most Kurds have done little offensive harm to anyone. The damned Turks use the PKK incursions as an excuse to persecute all Kurds.

BTW, Have you ever read Raphael Patai’s, “The Arab Mind”? It was standard reading for us Arabic students at the Defense Language Institute. Kurds and Turks call Arab Muslims “Black/Darki Muslims”. That’s black/dark as in crazy, sinful, murderous & barbaric.

‘Nuff said. I still believe my country has a moral obligation to defend the Peshmerga Kurds and consider it a cowardly betrayal to abandum them. We made them no official promises, but we did nothing mitigate their expectations. It is a matter of morality and honor for most American Vets.

Yes, Sykes-Picot is justly blamed for a lot but that was then and now is now. I have read that the Kurds are the only muslims who are tolerant of other religions but frankly I do not believe it. Just because they haven’t been on the rampage lately doesn’t mean they can be trusted not to turn at any time in the future.

It is safer to believe that muslims believe they must create a global caliphate and their God has instructed them how to do it. I will never trust a muslim, not even the Ahmadiyya. I feel safer that way.

I believe the UK have a moral obligation to support Israel but there is too much antisemitism in our politics for that to happen.

I have just ordered The Arab Mind. Thanks for the tip.

That reminds me of a similarly titled work on liberals. I don’t know whether you might find this interesting? The full title says it all. ????https://www.amazon.co.uk/Liberal-Mind-Psychological-Political-Madness/dp/0977956318/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2A3Y24YVT4A5E&keywords=the+liberal+mind&qid=1570729486&s=books&sprefix=the+liberal+mind%2Caps%2C138&sr=1-1

EXPLAIN TO US WHY THE KURDS TURNED AWAY HUNDREDS OF CHRISTIANS AND YZIDI PEOPLE WHO WERE FLEEING THE BUTCHERS OF THE ISIS ???? WHY DIDN’T THEY AT LEAST LET THEM PASS THRU THEIR LINES TO SAFETY ?? GRANTED SOME KURDISH PEOPLE ARE OUR FRIENDS BUT SACRIFICING 50 OF OUR SPECIAL FORCES TROOPS FOR POLITICAL GAIN IS PISS POOR PLANNING. NOW IF WE HAD A COUPLE OF ARMOR AND MECH INF BN’S IN THE AREA WE COULD STAND FAST, BUT 50 TROOPS IS NOTHING BUT A SPEED BUMP.

Were addressing Christians in Iraq or Syria? I was not there during the ISIS war & Syrian Civil War. Quite honestly, I do not know, but if you were, you understand the that entire region is like a polychromatic patchwork quilt of scores of political, ethnic and religious groups with a quagmire of loyalties and hatreds which, in some cases, go back before Christ.

Although I morally oppose Trumps disengagement there, I fully understand his strategic reasoning. It is impossible to support any one group there without incurring the wrath of another. Assad is an Alawite. Some Syrian Christians believe they are better off with Alawites than Sunnis or Shia.

Maybe the Kurds didn’t trust all of the Christians and feared enemies in their rear. No on trusts anyone in that region.

You need to read the REAL NEWS going on over there. A lot of Christians have been slaughtered by the KURDS. This fantasy you have about the Kurds being our allies, IS JUST NOT TRUE. Maybe it is in the eyes of people who believe their lies, but it still is not true.

THE KURDS ARE MUSLIMS. MUSLIMS FOLLOW THE QUR’AN. ISLAM IS EVIL THROUGH AND THROUGH. There are NO OTHER QUESTIONS to ask because THAT IS ALL THERE IS TO ISLAM. NEGATIVES, AND MORE NEGATIVES. Enslavement of women. Murder of non-Muslims. ANNIHLATION OF JEWS.

AND YES, THAT IS WHAT THE KURDS BELIEVE, AS WELL.

Stop believing that the Kurds are moderates because there is NO SUCH THING AS A MODERATE MUSLIM. They have ONE GOAL and that is to destroy ANYONE NOT MUSLIM and that includes Christians and non Muslims.

WAKE UP AND LEARN. I have studied ISLAM for a very long time. THERE IS NOTHING IN THE QUR’AN that will make you believe it is NOT evil. ALLAH IS SATAN. ISLAM means SUBMISSION.

Will you submit to ISLAM when they come to your door? I hope not, but if you do, you will die out of God’s grace and mercy. IT IS YOUR CHOICE, but to defend these animals is just plain IGNORANT.

[I do not read replies, so go ahead if you must.]

I really don’t care what happens to muslims, so long as they don’t come here. Whether they be Uighurs or Kurds, they are all part of the great global problem.

Here we see the blindness of the Western leaders, they really believe if we were to do muslims a good turn they will be grateful. That is a huge mistake. Muslims only see weakness when they experience Christian charity. Haven’t those politicians noticed what muslims do to innocent peace loving Christians? They are wiping them out! Time we stood back and let them wipe each other out.

The ONLY deeply disturbing development IS THAT the liberals and Democrats open their mouths.

The KURDS are not real allies to the United States. THEY USE US TO GET WHAT THEY WANT, THEN MURDER CHRISTIANS. After all, ISLAM tells them to do this.

KURDS ARE STILL MUSLIMS and Muslims follow ISLAM and ISLAM is evil. UNDERSTAND NOW?
There is NO SUCH THING AS A MODERATE MUSLIM. That is what liberals try to tell you to get you to accept Muslims. IT’S A BIG, BIG LIE.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT, PRESIDENT TRUMP. CONTINUE PULLING OUR TROOPS OUT OF SYRIA! PULL OUR MILITARY OUT OF EVERY COUNTRY EXCEPT AROUND ISRAEL.

ISRAEL is a true ally of the United States of America. NO ONE ELSE IS, NOT EVEN BRITAIN.
