Turkish Red Crescent uses UN refugee aid to buy luxury cars –

By Ahval, September 12, 2019:

The Turkish Red Crescent, the country’s largest non-governmental relief organisation, used hundreds of thousands of dollars of UN aid meant for refugees to purchase luxury cars, left-leaning newspaper Sol reported on Tuesday.

The Turkish Red Crescent, which is known for close ties to Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), bought 10 4×4 vehicles, including two ultra-luxury editions, with $643,000 provided by the UN World Food Programme to fulfill the basic needs of foreigners living in the country, said Sol, referring to a report in Cumhuriyet newspaper.

The vehicles were considered “emergency purchases” that would improve the Red Crescent’s access to rural areas.

Last week, members of the Turkish Red Crescent’s board were found to have strong ties to the AKP and to Islamic foundations managed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s children, according to Sol, adding that Kerem Kınık, Red Crescent vice president, worked on the campaign for AKP Istanbul Mayoral Candidate Binali Yıldırım earlier this year.

Sickening, isn’t it?
Deceiving, greedy vultures who only care about themselves.
I’d bet the U.S. funds most of it too.

The RED CROSS should never have caved in to Muslims and allowed their symbol to be replaced with the crescent. Muslims couldn’t stand the idea of a “cross” symbol helping Muslims.

Sorry to say that the Red Cross is just as blatant about misusing peoples donations here in Australia. If you don’t believe me just try and find out what happened to over $300 million in donations for victims of the devastating King Lake bushfires in Victoria. The Red Cross refuse to account for it and claim donations go in to general revenue and they are not required to spend them on any specific event. Once the main emergency was over and they packed up their tea and sandwiches wagons they pocketed the rest and didn’t help a single family rebuild. I will never donate to them again, once bitten, twice shy.

After funds were wrongly spent during one of the disasters, forget which one, we stopped giving to them. What they did was use it to redo their offices and line their pockets. They thought enough money was spent and helped themselves to it. They have a repeated pattern of doing this.

Red Cross USA is no better. Still trying to figure out what happened to all the money they got for Hurricaine Katrina victims – that the victims did not seem to get.

The entire UN needs to be dismantled. My daughter worked one summer at the UN in Botswana and came out of it a convert to Conservatism after seeing how much money was being wasted. She said that they were constantly taking holidays; they were conducting lengthy meetings that should have and could have been conducted in less than an hour; they were purchasing all sorts of fancy and expensive things for the offices. Her conclusion was that the entire UN was a racket – at the expense of the American taxpayers.

It is infuriating that the lion’s share of the cost of the UN is paid by the US. All we have to do is say “we are out” and stop paying.
