Iran Seizes Two More British Women

And still the left fights for these murderous mullahs.

Foreign Secretary calls in Iranian Ambassador to raise ‘serious concerns’ after two British woman were seized and thrown into hell-hole jail with Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

  • Two women with joint British-Australian nationality arrested separately in Iran
  • One was a blogger who was travelling across Asia with her Australian boyfriend
  • The other is an academic who studied at Cambridge and lectured in Australia
  • Dominic Raab warned of ‘serious concerns’ about arrests and conditions women are kept in, after they were thrown in same jail as Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

The UK Foreign Secretary has warned Iran that it has ‘serious concerns’ after two women with joint-British citizenship were arrested in the country.

Story continues below advertisement

Dominic Raab summoned the Iranian ambassador on Wednesday to voice his concerns ‘about the number of dual national citizens detained by Iran and their conditions of detention,’ the Foreign Office said.

One of the women is a blogger who was travelling through Asia with her Australian boyfriend. The other is an academic who studied at Cambridge and was lecturing in Australia before her arrest.

They were seized in separate incidents but have since been incarcerated in the same jail where Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 41, a British-Iranian mother, has been held since 2016 over accusations of spying.

Dominic Raab spoke with the Iranian ambassador on Wednesday and warned of ‘serious concerns’ around detention and treatment of the two women

The women have been incarcerated in the Evin prison in Tehran, pictured, where Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 41, a British-Iranian mother, has been held since 2016 over accusations of spying

The Australian boyfriend has also been arrested.

The women are thought to be the first British passport holders without dual-Iranian citizenship to have been jailed in the country for several years.

The arrests come amid heightened tensions between Iran and Britain.

The blogger has been detained in a ward for female political prisoners where Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe, is currently held.

She and her boyfriend were arrested about ten weeks ago as they travelled in Iran during a trip they had been blogging on social media.

They started their journey in Australia about three years ago and followers of their accounts have posted concerns about their recent silence.

A source told newspaper that Iranian authorities told the woman she was being held in a bid to orchestrate a prisoner swap with Australia.

The same source said the lecturer is in solitary confinement after she was sentenced to ten years in prison for an unknown offence. The sentence is common for foreign nationals charged with espionage.

Tulip Siddiq, Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s Labour MP, told The Times: ‘This terrible news shows a clear escalation of Iran’s hostage diplomacy.

Mr Ratcliffe, pictured outside the Iranian embassy in London in June, said Iran must be made to understand that ‘hostage diplomacy is not OK’

‘Soft diplomatic responses to Iran’s illegal and inhumane treatment of British prisoners have been a failure.’

Richard Ratcliffe, Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s husband, told the paper: ‘I complained to the foreign secretary last week that we’d been seeing an escalation from Iran in recent months, even since our hunger strike, publicly taking Nazanin to hospital in chains and restricting her visits and calls, new big sentences announced for other innocent people, and more British citizens being taken, even non-Iranian.’

He said Iran must be made to understand ‘hostage diplomacy is not OK’ and the UK Government ‘cannot keep sitting quietly by while ordinary people are being taken as bargaining chips’.

The Foreign Office declined to comment.

the UK Government ‘cannot keep sitting quietly by while ordinary people are being taken as bargaining chips’.

One of the nasty hallmarks of dictatorships is their tendency to make life hell for people who they consider “bargaining chips”. So ok, UK, once again, Iran has thrown down the gauntlet. I’ve not noticed any robust reaction from London- why should the mullahs be concerned about one now?

Hey, I have an idea. Boris, how about you call Trump and suggest a little three way meeting between the two of you and a chap named John Bolton- he has good advice. Ok maybe bring in some generals and just for color, a Mossad rep, I’m sure ya’ll could come up with something so that maybe some people could do something.

Perhaps,we need to organize tours for our Commiecrat neighbors to spend a few day sin Iran. Hopefully, they will not return for a while or learn something about Islamic justice.Might be an eye opener. Although, most are so deluded and masochistic they would probably say the 20 lashes wasn’t so bad afterall.

We should’ve designated Islamic nations as no-fly zones but when you refuse to accept reality that Muslims are a threat to us, then you’ll continue to make idiotic mistakes that’ll cause your citizens to be jailed, raped and killed.

This is where appeasement and cowardice leads you, death and destruction of your people and culture. Everyone in the ruling class knows that Iran is the central banker of global terrorism along with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey and other notorious Islamic nations and yet they allow them to keep getting away with their evil behavior.

The Islamic Republic of Iran would have collapsed by this time if it were not for the active aid given to it by Merkel and Macron. By doing so they are aiding and abetting international terrorism against their own people as well as the US and Israel. Aiders and abetters are as guilty of terrorist crimes as the mullahs of Iran. It is time for Trump to declare both Merkel and Macron terrorists and enemies of the USA, Israel and their own people.

Sadly they’ll probably be kept in jail and rot away their lives.

Expecting the UK to do something about it is laughable. They can’t even control the “immigrants” in their own country.

They have rolled over on their backs and submitted to their new masters.

Multi-wife families on the dole taking tax money from paying UK citizens.
Allowing grooming gangs to rape/torture UK young girls.
Jailing anyone speaking about it.

Sad.

A once-great country.
Gone.
Even the capital city is sinking fast.
Run by a “mayor” that couldn’t manage a McDonalds.

80 percent of Somali men on benefits and 90 percent of their multi wives cannot even speak English. Multiculturalism has really benefited the UK, according to the spineless traitors in government, not to mention most of the other Muslims are either on benefits, drug dealing, stealing, raping, murder and many planning attacks on the infidels plus a London Mayor who is a jihadi supporter.

These people are really working to earn the Darwin Award.

You can deny the laws of physics but when you put that into practice, then things will go bad for you. Likewise when you deny reality… things go bad… very bad. Leftists are convinced their feelings define reality. These people can now pretend they aren’t actually imprisoned in an Iranian prison…

Remember Jimmy Carter and the embassy hostages being held for a year while he dithered. As soon as a real president with guts, Ronald Reagan, showed up Iran released them immediately as they knew he would declare war on them. Trump would be the same. The UK in earlier days would have sent the Royal Navy, today they don’t have much of any navy.

The Islamic Republic is an insult to the human race and it must be totally and completely eradicated by all means possible. It must not be allowed to exist in this world. It is demonic and ruled by devils from the lowest realms of Hell. No invasion is necessary. First, completely destroy the mullah’s ability to export oil which they are selling to China, Turkey and Russia This can be done by the strategic bombing of their oil export facilities in the Gulf. Followed by the same on the Caspian Sea and land routes to Turkey. Starve this cancer out. The Iranian people will rise up and overthrow the mullahs.

Fantastic solution:
Trump should offer Iran a “prisoner swap”. Trade these ladies for Pelosi, Schumer, Talib, Omar and few others. Offer them maybe 40-50 of these Socialist Demoncrats for each one of these ladies.
Now that would be the deal of the century. :):)
Go Trump !!!!!

What’s will happen to Iran? They’ll get the nuclear bomb and use it?

Badger

I think Trump’s second term will see a massive assault on all of Iran’s nuclear facilities. They can do it with conventional weaponry and if America does not do it then Israel will be forced to nuke those sites since they have no MOPs or the means of delivery.

A land invasion of Iran is unthinkable unless America has nuked the place first and I don’t see them doing that.

I would like to think that you right that we could effectively eliminate Iran’s nuclear capabilities without resorting to tactical nukes ourselves. I don’t know whether or not we can do it with MOPs- they are non-trivial to deliver. If it takes nukes to do it, so be it.

If Trump loses in 2020- which I more than half suspect he will- I wonder if he might launch such an attack before he leaves office. That, in my mind, would be his greatest achievement. While you’re at it, take out the main Republican Guard base and a few other key regime sustaining locations.

Finally, let the Iranians sort it out. No American boots on the ground, although a “thumb on the scales” might be in order.

MOP’s. What brand though? Swiffer? Those would keep Iran clean!

Badger

Before or after? I say after because if he does it before I think the American public might regard it as the beginning of another Iraq and it would certainly cost him the election.

If he wins he can do what he likes for the next four years, take out North Korea when he’s done with Iran, even nuke the Vatican, teach that bloody Pope to stay out of politics.

While not wishing to minimise the outrageous injustice of hostage taking by the Iranians I wonder why on earth, after all the world wide publicity about the dangers inherent in visiting Iran, STUPID BACK-PACKING IDIOTS STILL DO IT.

In fact I believe it must be obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense that MUSLIM COUNTRIES SHOULD BE NO-GO AREAS FOR WESTERNERS.
