CALLING PROPHET MUHAMMAD A PEDOPHILE NOT PROTECTED BY FREE SPEECH, COURT RULES
Newsweek, the first to report about this new European Court of Human Rights ruling, doesn’t seem too happy – it’s a first.
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that calling the Prophet Muhammad a pedophile was not protected by freedom of speech laws.
The case was brought by an Austrian woman in her forties identified only as “E.S.,” who was convicted of disparaging religion and fined $546 for branding the founder of Islam a pedophile during a seminar in 2009.
Story continues below advertisementAccording to Deutsche Welle, the court, which is based in Strasbourg, France, said the Austrian judge that first ruled on the case correctly weighed the woman’s “right to freedom of expression with the right of others to have their religious feelings protected, and served the legitimate aim of preserving religious peace in Austria.”
The charge stemmed from two seminars called “Basic Information on Islam” that had been organized by E.S. During the meetings, she spoke about Muhammad’s controversial marriage to Aisha, which, according to Islamic tradition, was consummated when she was 9 years old and Muhammad 50.
According to the court, the woman told attendees about things the prophet “liked to do with children” and said, “A 56-year-old and a 6-year-old?… What do we call it, if it is not pedophilia?”
The woman’s conviction was upheld by other national courts before reaching the ECHR. The claimant suggested her comments were covered by freedom of speech laws and that the issue was one of religious groups being unable to tolerate criticism. She also argued her comments were not intended to defame the prophet, merely to contribute to the public debate.
The ECHR ruled that while religions were not exempt from criticism or denial of their beliefs, the woman’s comments were not objective and lacked historical context. It also believed her language “could only be understood as having been aimed at demonstrating that Muhammad was not worthy of worship” and were designed to belittle Islam.
The court also noted the difference between pedophilia and child marriage, and said the woman had failed to show “that his primary sexual interest in Aisha had been her not yet having reached puberty or that his other wives or concubines had been similarly young.
“In particular, the applicant had disregarded the fact that the marriage with Aisha had continued until the Prophet’s death, when she had already turned eighteen and had therefore passed the age of puberty,” the ruling added.
The seven-judge panel also stated it was unacceptable “to pack incriminating statements into the wrapping of an otherwise acceptable expression of opinion and claim that this rendered passable those statements exceeding the permissible limits of freedom of expression.”
We are right back into the crime of blasphemy. The cradle of Democracy is dead.

Rather than defend the freedom of speech, these Leftist cowards buckle under and submit to the religious mafia criminal organization called Islam. If and when we end up in a civil war, these traitors will be made to pay.
Nobody wants to touch Islam because they fear for their lives. They’ve only shown that terrorism is effective which means of course that Muslims will carry out more terrorist attacks because it is having the desired effect of making the infidels surrender, rather than fight back.
Now that telling the truth about Muhammad being a pedophile is no longer allowed under freedom of speech, of course the muzzrats will take the next step which is to criminalize any criticism of Islam and they’ll use this precedent as a bludgeon to silence any opposition to Muslims and their nefarious agenda.
So the future for Europe is either decades of civil war or it becomes Islamified and millions of Europeans will end up in mass graves for refusing to convert to Islam, all because we refused to take a stand when it counted the most and when the enemy was small in number, pretty pathetic.

What a joke! That is not freedom of expression. Are they really not able to see that “acceptable” speech does not need to be protected because nobody is trying to silence “acceptable” speech? It is speech that some find insulting or doesn’t want expressed that must be protected. If you aren’t willing to fully protect the freedom of expression then you don’t actually care about freedom of expression… of course we already knew that there is no such thing as freedom of expression in any country except supposedly in the US… where it is supposed to be guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. However, if the Left have their way, then our freedom of expression would be seriously impaired. As it is, there are some states who forbid you to tell somebody suffering from gender dysphoria that they are suffering from gender dysphoria. And there are some states that attempt to prevent pro-2nd Amendment organizations from meeting and expressing themselves. It predates Obama. We’ve had “red”, “blue” and “swing/purple” states for years… though I don’t think other than a few “blue” states the others weren’t considered as something fixed in stone. Even Commiefornia was once not a blue state though it seems the Left have done what they can to lock the conservative voice out and I suspect foul play as their means to that end.
But, it seems to me the red/blue divide hasn’t been as contentious as it is now. I know we’ve had times in the past, such as during the Civil War, where there was a great division… we seem to be going in that direction again. The Left’s tactic these days is to whip their base into a rabid-foaming-at-the-mouth frenzy. They have the fear of an existential threat. Ever since Trump came into office, Pelosi declared every Trump action as something that was about to trigger Armageddon. Time and again, they declare conservatives as an evil, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic group that must be silenced and defeated By Any Means Necessary… something the fascist groups like Antifa and BAMN are all too willing to do… to the point where killing conservatives is not only justified by essential to “saving democracy” (we’re not a democracy!). “…legitimate aim of preserving religious peace in Austria.” They missed that boat completely…because in order to preserve “religious” peace in Austria they should have completely banned the vicious, fascist, intolerant ideology of Islam which attacks all non-Muslim religions and which has no resemblance to any sort of a “peaceful” religion. Their first mistake is referring to Islam as a “religion.” Are they completely unaware of the religious turmoil in present day Islamic-dominated Middle East and do they have short-term memory loss about the Islamic warmongers and their invasions of Europe? What dumb-dumb-dhimmis they must be that they can’t see the Nazis taking over and destroying their freedoms right in front of their eyes simply because they happen to label their fascist ideology as a “religion.” You would think Leftist secular atheists would recognize theocratic authoritarians when they see them unless they simply do legitimately fear Muslims now that they are well embedded within their midst. The Koran meets the definition of hate literature as defined by Sections 318 and 319 of the Criminal Code of Canada. Why are charges not being laid? It seems only Liberals and Muslims can violate the Criminal Code but it applies only to Canadians.
