And Chicago has the toughest gun laws in the countyr which proves, yet again, that the Democrats angling to seize the weapons of law abiding Americans has nothing to do with actual results but a power grab with the very worst of intentions.
Media Not Interested in 47 People Shot in Chicago Over the Weekend

Not even when 47 people get shot over the weekend. After all there’s no manifesto.
Mount Sinai Hospital was forced to stop accepting new patients Saturday night into Sunday morning after a deadly string of shootings that left at least four people killed and 43 more injured in shootings within city limits since Friday evening.
In Lawndale on the West Side, 14 people were shot in three separate incidents over a span of about two hours.
About 1:20 a.m., a group of people were gathered in Douglas Park in the 2900 block of West Roosevelt Road when someone opened fire from a black Camaro, Chicago police said.
Someone.
It doesn’t really matter.
If the perpetrators were white and this weren’t happening in Chicago, there would be a rush to cover it. But it’s just Chicago. Not Gilroy.
Gun violence in Chicago last weekend left eight people dead and 40 others hurt.
Again, anywhere else 8 people dead and 40 wounded would be a story. But the political points on this are all the wrong ones.

Democrats won’t talk about it because “Black Lives Matter” is a lie.

Victimes: Innocent civilians vs Gang members and drug dealers.

Here are the similarities:
All are dead because of gun violence.
Most of those in Chicago are black, so it appears that “Black Lives Matter” is a lie & is only used as a political statement when a black is killed by a cop or a white.
If people & media were truly concerned about gun violence then they would be concerned about all victims regardless of their color, whether they were innocent victims gang members or drug dealers and regardless of the color of the shooter.
I see you are one of many that is only concerned about taking people’s guns.

So I was correct. You are just like many other anti-gun nuts that pretend to be concerned about gun violence but what you are truly concerned about is that people have a right to own a gun to protect themselves & others.

I would say that at least 95% of the “victims” were criminals at least in the past weekend’s shooting in Chicago.

If you still don’t feel protected, then I suggest we stop funding law enforcement agencies and the millitary. only then, we can talk about everybody’s right to own an M-16 if he/she wishes.

I looked over my comment to see where I said everybody has the right to own a MS-16 & could not find it. Show me where I said that. On second though maybe everyone has a right to own a MS-16, because isn’t that some semi-auto rifle in a video game? I think one of my cousins was talking about it.
The police are only minutes away when seconds count.
If you do not feel safe in the U S because people carry guns there are many countries you can live in where there are banned, China is one. Bon voyage

I was trying to make a point, that is, if we have no law enforcement then I would not object to military grade weapons like M16, M240, M2A1…etc
it’s called M-16 which is a real rifle.

I have not seen where people are saying a M-16 should be legal.
Anti-gun nuts want to take away AR-15’s & similar semi-auto weapons, which are not assault weapons, by the true definition, nor military grade weapons..
Dems made up their own definition of assault weapons to frighten the weak minded onto their anti-gun band wagon & a lot of fools were scared enough to climb on because they don’t know about guns.
The military has used 12 gauge pump action shotguns, 9 mm & 45 cal pistols. Those must be military grade weapons also so lets ban them.

But then they say they want open borders so anyone can come in, which would make bringing guns from Mexico very easy.

The media does not report the news so much as it perpetuates the narrative, mainly that private gun ownership is the problem. Wrong!
The Chicago cops researched their database to find how many shootings over the past decade to determine how many gun deaths were from legal weapons. There were three, caused by two dirty cops doing hits for the mob.
It is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

The Swiss also carry weapons on a huge scale however there is still military conscription and the Swiss society is very far from being a progressive one. Also for the most part it is a homogeneous society which makes the difference.
