Daily Beast Declares Mariano Rivera ‘Far-Right’ Because He Is a Christian Who Supports Israel
The Daily Beast published an article Sunday accusing Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Mariano Rivera of “secret far-right politics,” solely on the basis of the fact that he is a Christian who supports the State of Israel.

The story, by Robert Silverman, is titled, “Inside Baseball Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera’s Secret Far-Right Politics.”
Story continues below advertisementBut there is no evidence of “secret far-right politics” in the article.
Instead, there is just an extensive recounting of Rivera’s support for Israel.
Silverman says that despite the admiration the legendary New York Yankees closer has received from fans, he has “served at the pleasure of a racist president, taken part in thinly veiled propaganda on behalf of an apartheid government in Israel, and gotten chummy with outright bigots and apocalyptic loons.”
The accusation of “serving” President Donald Trump appears to refer to Rivera’s support for the administration’s programs to fight opioid abuse and promote physical fitness, and for appearing in photographs with the president.
Silverman also asserts that Israel has an “apartheid” government — a claim he never backs up, because he cannot. (Jews and Arabs enjoy equal rights in Israel, and Arabs have the vote and serve at the highest levels of government.)
He asserts that “the vast majority of Evangelical Christians also believe in a particular messianic biblical prophecy: Jews must rule the Holy Land before Christ can return.” Silverman admits that he does not know if Rivera shares that belief, “but his support for Israel and the Israel Defense Forces is a matter of public record,” which apparently is enough to make him “far-right.”

More like MENTALLY EVIL. I challenge them to historical facts, which so far, 100% of them I talk to DO NOT know our American history/heritage. One time, a guy where I worked, told me that Republicans were against black people. I told him about the Democrat Party and even went on the Internet to show him some HISTORICAL FACTS. Being an open-minded SMART person, he said he did not know that! I told him it was because the Dems DID NOT WANT HIM TO KNOW THAT. He had this sadness on his face like he was betrayed or something. HE WAS BETRAYED.

I laugh and then ask them to PROVE IT. Most of the time, they cannot. One guy told me I had a gender bias when I told him that homosexuality was a perversion of satan. I told him that the hole that poops out human waste is not where I want my junk going. He just stared at me, grimacing. YES, THAT GOT HIM THINKING. I laughed and walked away.

The welfare state, economic equality and social equality ARE characteristics of modern liberalism ascribed by the Democratic Party’s philosophy. However, there are several interventions that the Democratic Party applied in the economy such as consumer protection, labor union support and social programs, all SOCIALIST by nature, but nevertheless DESTRUCTIVE to the liberties of Americans.
CONSUMER PROTECTION:
While Consumer protection is a good thing, it also overreaches politically by regulating businesses destructively and excessively resulting in failure and then, closure of businesses.
LABOR UNIONS:
Labor unions began as a support to its members. However, that too, over the years became a destructive force against the members, making its leaders more powerful over its members, while politically overreaching by moving its members toward the Democrat Party AND liberalism, alienating those who did not agree with the liberal ideology of that Union.
SOCIAL PROGRAMS:
Social Programs also turned into overreaching bureaucracies that distanced itself from its recipients’ problems, making them jump through hoops to get help and/or benefit from the taxes they paid for such programs. For example, in the 60s- 70s, an American could not get ‘help’ from the govt if they owned any substantial assets, such as a house. A Welfare mother could not own a car, or a home and get help, even temporary.
Slowly, our American govt has grown to become a LEVIATHAN, strangling out the good within it, making it a monstrous welfare and socialized govt, giving away anything and everything to people who do not deserve its benefits.
The Democrat Party was responsible for the KKK, Muslims infiltrating America, and for allowing JUST anyone to serve in our Govt. Vetting them is now minimal. Allowing ANY MUSLIM or foreigner, illegal or naturalized, to serve in our U.S. Government is ASKING for problems that will trickle down to the American citizen.
NO MUSLIM, FOREIGNER, ILLEGAL OR NATURALIZED SHOULD EVER BE ALLOWED TO BE IN OUR GOVT, INCLUDING AS SUPPORT TO ITS LEADERS. If security and sovereignty mean anything to America, then THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN – NO MUSLIM, ILLEGAL OR NATURALIZED FOREIGNERS SHOULD EVER BE ALLOWED BY LAW TO WORK IN AMERICAN GOVT.
