The worst anti-Semitic hate crime of 2018 took place outside a restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Izmir Koch, an Ahiska Turkish migrant who had already been in trouble with the law, allegedly demanded to know if there were any Jews around. A man who been at the restaurant replied that he was Jewish. Izmir punched him in the head, and then kicked him while he lay on the ground.

Koch’s victim was seriously injured by the brutal February 4 attack, suffering injuries to the ribs and eye sockets. On February 4, Koch and his friends were reportedly standing around outside a restaurant when they started loudly asking people whether they were Jewish. One man, who was standing outside the restaurant smoking a cigarette, said that he was. That’s when Koch ran over to him and punched him in the head, hard enough to knock him down. After the man fell to the ground, Koch and his friends kicked him and beat him repeatedly.
Why weren’t the friends indicted as well?
The hero, though badly beaten, is the victim who stood up for Jews even though he wasn’t Jewish.

An Ohio man was sentenced to 30 months in prison for attacking someone he believed to be Jewish.
Izmir Koch, of the Dayton suburb of Huber Heights, was sentenced last week for attacking Paul Marshall outside a Cincinnati-area restaurant in 2017. He was charged with committing a hate crime and lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Koch, 34, was standing outside a restaurant asking people if they were Jewish. Though Marshall is not Jewish he answered in the affirmative when asked. Koch then beat him up, causing injuries to his ribs and a fracture of the orbital floor, the bottom portion of his eye socket.
The assailant, who is originally from Turkey, was indicted and convicted last year.
Todd Wickerham, a special agent leading the FBI’s office in Cincinnati, said the bureau sought a stiff sentence, Cleveland Jewish News reported.
“We just think the impact of someone being assaulted because of their religious preferences or their background is so impactful in the community that we want to take these cases on to make sure the penalties … really fit the impact of this,” Wickerham said.

It pi**es me off when many organizations equate antisemitism with those of the political right. You’re intelligent which is why it’s obvious to you that my comment was sarcasm. You’d be surprised at the number of people who have attacked me in the past for comments they didn’t realize were in jest, so I play it safe and spell it out for the folks in Rio Linda (Rush Limbaugh reference) and label my sarcastic comments accordingly.
The subjectivity with which the MSM cries racism, or whatever, is definitely frustrating. It is absolutely a one-way street to them. In this case, Omar and Tlaib can say disgusting things about Jews, Israel and America, but when Trump calls them out on their vile, racist, anti-Semitic and anti-American comments, he is the white supremacist, racist Hitler! “People of color” are free to say anything, and we’re just not allowed to say anything about it.

“The assailant, who is originally from Turkey, was indicted and convicted last year.” This piece of human garbage obviously had a lot of time to be standing outside of a restaurant, doing nothing other than planning an attack. Why didn’t the FBI and prosecutor ensure that, he will not have that problem in the future by giving him hard labor in prison. 30 months, is just an extended vacation. The court did not do the victim, or anyone else in that community, any favors.

Since the “fbi” and the “cia” are SOOoo good at MANUFACTURING EVIDENCE, I would prefer them to be “sent back home” with written acknowledgements from OUR government for their help in judicial / political matters about THEIR “home”. I am sure their government would LOVE to have them home.

Thirty months is a slap in the face to law abiding citizens. Is this thug going to be deported back to his home country after jail time?
Did the men he harmed develop concussions? Concussions can affect health years later, or so I have read.

Hate should not be criminalized. When you add hatred as a means to increase punishment, you cripple justice because no crime comes from ‘feelings’ of love or kindness, and any crime should be considered just as heinous without adding the word ‘hate’ to it. That shouldn’t be a requirement just to reach the maximum sentencing. It’s a scheme of the left to demonize the moral majority. If you research, you’ll find that almost exclusively, whites and Christians are the two groups ever charged with a ‘hate’ crime. It’s without logic, underhanded and should be outlawed.
