Robert Spencer has returned to the great war of ideas after a very difficult health episode. It was touch and go for my great friend and while I am prolific at posting, I refrained from writing about it because this was something too personal to ‘share on social.” And I don’t do personal on social – ever. But I am over the moon at the speed of his recovery. Hashem is good! Keep him in your daily prayers.
Long time Geller Report readers know Robert and I go back well over a decade and have achieved great things in the cause of freedom. Robert Spencer is a giant. Few people realize what a phenomenon he is. Rather than go on about it – here’s Robert’s back to life post:

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t written anything at Jihad Watch or anywhere else since late April. The reason for this is that my heart stopped.
About six weeks ago, while I was already in the hospital for pneumonia, I suffered heart failure, kidney failure, respiratory failure — you name it, I failed at it. I was airlifted by helicopter from one hospital to another (alas, I don’t remember this adventure) and hooked up to every machine the doctors could find a way to plug me into. Finally, yesterday, I left the hospital (this time, alas, not by helicopter), with most organs having recovered passing grades.
I owe an immense debt of gratitude — indeed, I owe my very life — to the many doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals who helped me get from the time when I had no pulse to this moment. Except for a couple of brief interludes, I was unconscious for about twelve days in late April and early May, so I wasn’t even aware of the presence of many of them, but that doesn’t dim my gratitude. While I had no pulse and was out, I was nowhere: I saw no all-encompassing light, and I heard no voices, a fact which I believe carries no metaphysical or spiritual significance. But I have had ample opportunity to reflect, and I came to some realizations that everyone knows but that many often forget: life is good. Be grateful. Love your family. Consider the lilies. Don’t take things so seriously. Don’t take yourself so seriously. All God’s days are beautiful days. Etc.
And I realized one other thing: the astounding medical technology that pulled me back from nowhere developed, and only could have developed, in a free society. That makes the struggle for freedom of which Jihad Watch and my body of work is an infinitesimal part all the more important. With the darkness and totalitarianism against which we are struggling comes immense human misery. Let us then, with malice toward none and charity for all, continue to strive as long as we have the ability to do so. We owe it to our children, and all children, to try to leave the world as livable a place as we possibly can.
So I hope to be back at it, gradually, in the coming days and weeks. I want to express my warmest thanks to all the faithful readers of Jihad Watch, to Christine Douglass-Williams, who indefatigably and expertly kept the site going in my absence, to all those who contributed articles, and above all to those who offered prayers and good wishes on my behalf. Your prayers were heard, your good wishes granted, and I love you all.

I had known Mr. Spencer went on a hiatus but I never knew why. I’m glad he’s better. I hope this wasn’t the result of his numerous enemies in the islamic world (either domestic or foreign).

I went through the same thing when I was pregnant with my last baby. It threw me for a spiritual loop for a little while but I know for a fact God lives because I only recovered from all that happened because he sent me dreams as an answer to my pleading prayers that taught me how to completely recover without medical interference.
You see, you like modern medicine but everything they tried made everything worse.
I had to trust Him and only Him. I promise you, you still need His guidance to a full recovery. It’s better than modern medicine!

It is beyond terrific and reassuring news hearing that Robert Spencer has triumphed over his illness. As mentioned by Pamela, Hashem, G-d is good.

So, you think God would RECYCLE SOULS? Wow. I always go to this scripture when I hear this in ignorance of God’s word from people who either don’t know, understand or care about God’s Word:
Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men ONCE to (physical) die, but after this the judgment….
WHAT DO YOU THINK ‘ONCE TO DIE’ MEANS?
ONE TIME ONLY WILL A SOUL EXPERIENCE PHYSICAL DEATH. The soul goes onward elsewhere, depending on whether his/her name is WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE (born again here means SPIRITUAL, not physical). That soul is not REBORN into something or someone else as a DO-OVER.
Reincarnation is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard as if GOD would give you another chance after you die. DEATH IS FINAL FOR ALL. There would be no need for JESUS CHRIST and His salvation if death was not final. It makes about as much sense as 72 virgins by Islam when there is NO PHYSICAL bodies in heaven or hell. SOULS are not physical and cannot have sex. ISLAM IS STUPID AND SO IS REINCARNATION. These are excuses that people use to continue their sin.

YES, I stand corrected in that I do not know you, but the Word of God was not just for me or just for you. It is God’s love letter to ALL mankind. So, if you won’t or can’t accept the Bible, it is your choice and THAT is exactly what makes America GREAT with its abundant liberties and compassionate people. As one who can relate to some of what you went threw, I am also pleased to wish you good wishes. You have steadfastly stood up for your views on the horror that is going on out their, most of which is related to a belief system that was the creation of mean spirited people, and who’s followers carry that mean spirited conduct of hate and violence to the consternation of all right thinking and reasonably responsible people, like you, and we all look forward to your continuing to carry the banner of truth, honesty and the America way.

Glad to hear that Robert is making a tremendous recovery after his health ordeal. If nothing else, surviving a near-death experience certainly makes one reevaluate life and prompts one to put things in perspective. I know, I’ve been there.
God hasn’t finished with you yet, Robert. He needs you to continue raising awareness of the evils of Islam, spreading the truth, shedding light on the darkest abyss that Islam truly is.
We need you, Robert, so don’t go anywhere!

Rather, I’m making inquiry for ANY evidence that you have that “The early Christian church believed in reincarnation.” I have seen nothing, even remotely resembling that, in reading of the early church. I would be most interested in looking at your evidence. Thanks, in advance ….

Just so that you’re informed, “The Gospel of Thomas” has been fully proven to have NOT been in existence until the Twentieth Century. The Egyptian findings have been proven as a total farce. But, even if you buy into it .. and that the scholars that fully disproved its earlier existence, those that cling to believing the lie …even they … don’t believe that it was “written” (which has been proven to not be the case) until the latter half of the Second Century … So, even those that believe the lies … realize that it didn’t come about from having moved from Jerusalem to Egypt, during Hadrian’s purge of Jews from Judea and Samaria. Robert Spencer is a very good man. We didn’t know he was so ill.
We are very happy he is recovering. He’s been through a nightmare.

No matter what is going on, life is about relationships and not about material wealth accumulation as the ultimate success. You can’t buy love and genuine care. Love can lift you up over adverse situations and give you peace for whatever comes your way.

Oh my gosh, thank You Dearest Lord for saving our good friend Robert. I’ve been buried alive taking care of my 90+ year old mom who has advanced dementia and I completely missed this. Robert if you’re reading these here I’m praying for you and for Pamela too. So happy you are still with us. I’m positive God isn’t through with you yet. God bless!

– absolutely, the ongoing Industrial Revolution is also an ongoing Scientific Revolution
– and neither could succeed without
– the Democratic Free-Enterprise Constitutional Republic
– example, John Locke [c. 1670] designed political tolerance, that the Founders used
– and John Locke also designed Empiricism, the cornerstone of modern science
– so democracy, science, and wealth creation are all intertwined around logic
– Communist countries have invented almost NO new pharmaceuticals
– [the most the Nazis did was invent lethal Zyklon B nerve gas]
– and without Free-enterprise, medical care would have us living to age 37, like in 1776
– and right now, we live in by far the richest time in the 300,000 year history of the human species

Great to have Robert back. I suspected it was probably health related but didn’t know how bad it truly was. It’s wonderful to hear that he has recovered and is back in the game.
Yes Pam and Robert are the dynamic duo when it comes to fighting for freedom. I’m certain the work that you both have done has benefited millions of people, in educating them about Islam and probably influenced politics/elections in a positive way. Fortunately there are many others who’ve done their part as well in defense of western civilization.
While the war is far from over, at least our side is holding its ground. Truth to Islam is like garlic and sunshine to vampires. This is why Muslims and Leftists are so desperate to censor and silence truth-tellers. Keep up the great work, you are both heroes to those who wish to safeguard our freedom and way of life.

I met Robert and Pam in person along with others at the Draw Muhammad event in Garland Texas. I had been dealing with a very serious case of persecution myself and didn’t look well as I see myself in pictures that were taken. While at that event I had a short discussion with a short Muslim man that was very adamant about the validity of Islam and the importance of Sharia. I am convinced that he was a plant that was to aid the attackers in getting the right people first once they got inside and then the rest of us or as many as possible. Anyway, I’m glad that Robert has survived and is back in the game.

As a Jew you do not eat anything unclean. But AHA, as I tell people, even though you eat God’s diet you might still get the diseases of humans.
BUT (and a BIG BUT) you will SURVIVE them whilst most Gentiles will get eaten ALIVE by it. And you did survive. Whereas before, you might be dead.
