Brooks: Federal Employees Engaging in ‘Coup D’etat’ Against Trump Should Be Caught, Jailed ‘to the Maximum Term Allowed by Law’
During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio’s “The Dale Jackson Show” on WVNN, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) called for the aggressive pursuit of those that made “false statement” that led to the Department of Justice special counsel probe led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Story continues below advertisementBrooks said crimes committed included obstruction of justice and making false statements to law enforcement, which may have instigated the Mueller probe.
“[O]n the executive branch side, [Attorney General William] Barr on his own can be and should be investigating how this got that far wasting this amount of taxpayer dollars,” Brooks said. “At some point in this process, there was somebody who made false statements about alleged Russian collusion to someone in the executive branch.”
“That is obstruction of justice,” he continued. “That is making false statements to law enforcement officers. And those people, whoever those people are, they need to be uncovered, and they need to be prosecuted because they’re the ones responsible for this two-year debacle, this two-year investigation, this waste of $35 million investigating a non-event.”
Host Dale Jackson asked Brooks if those individuals would be caught, to which Brooks said he did not know. However, Brooks argued if that is determined, then those individuals should face punishment.
“I do not know,” he replied. “I certainly hope so, and I hope that this attorney general will be aggressive and get to the bottom of it because the people who are engaged in these kinds of lies, this kind of wasting of taxpayer money should not get away with it. We should catch them. We should put them in jail to the maximum term allowed by law because we should never allow federal government employees to go rogue, to try to engage in what in effect a coup d’état against a sitting president of the United States. That is serious, and that needs to be dealt with seriously.”

Just read Killing England, about our revolutionary war, (also watched Turn: Washington’s Spies) and modern Americans are ignorant of what happens in this punishment! I may be exaggerating slightly, but I’d swear it mentioned that they would often intentionally dress the condemned in white pants to further the humiliation of traitors, Washington himself is quoted as saying he wanted that very badly for benedict arnold! (Spoiler: BOWELS RELEASE!)

It is obvious that this whole Russian Collusion thing was an attempted coup to remove Donald Trump as President of the United States. Also a number of people in government positions have been involved in this coup attempt. It is likely that this coup attempt goes all the way up to former President Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. The people involved in this coup need to be identified, investigated and prosecuted and sent to prison. My big concern is that powerful people in the Democrat Party will push to have this whole matter dropped and forgotten. If this nation is to move forward this coup attempt must be investigated and the people involved held responsible.

A few items the would-be guilty creeps are counting on include: American’s poor memories during their past (and next) trips to the ballot box; America’s endless fantasies with the great diversionary tactic of entertainment, which removes their ability to discern fact from fiction in the coming investigations; and worse, the money that is available to slow down and even stop investigations from proceeding much further. If Barr and others responsible for moving forward against the treasonous crowd cannot be bought, it would appear that the futures of the coup de’tat suspects are grim indeed.
However, as others have pointed out elsewhere, who will enforce the laws already in existence to ensure just punishment? At what point in the investigations will following the law mean something?

Unfortunately, when push comes to shove, the DOJ is responsible for both investigation (FBI, etc.) and prosecution (AG). Anybody remember the New Black Panther voter intimidation in Philadelphia? Who started the investigation (it was on widely circulated video shots) during the Bush Administration and who stopped it when it was just about ready to go to trial?

Good point. Internationalists have long been entrenched in the three branches of government, and supporting agencies/departments such as State and DOJ. They know that even if a President such as Trump attempts Deep State housecleaning, they know they can resume business as usual when another internationalist is voted in as POTUS

Like Rush said, if we let them go this will set a BAD precedent. The ring leaders should be, at the least, HUNG by the neck until DEAD.
This will destroy the Demoncrap party or at least set them back a hundred years. Sing Christian hymns (as they did in merry olde England) as they are marched to the gallows.
Many of them will collapse at the strain. But hang them anyway. They committed treason after all we done for them. Entrusted them to represent US and even paid them very well, only to be betrayed.

I believe that the Mueller investigation and the spending of $35 Million was primarily used to find and destroy all records of the corruption of both the Democrats and Republican officials that were bribed by the Saudi to grease the way for obama. The Saudi king in an arabic broadcast around 1998 boasted he would put a moslem in the White House by 2008. The so called investigation of President Trump was secondary to hiding the treason of those who took the Saudi corruption.

You have heard about the Logan Act, and improper use of the FISA Court; but there is another one to consider. These “Deep State” folks may have also violated the Hatch Act that prohibits partisan political acts by members of the Executive Branch. Leaks to the media designed to impair a candidate, for example, clearly violates this law.
