Muslim Cop Mohamed Noor Seeks to Throw Out Murder Conviction in Justine Damond Killing

62

Based on what? Sharia law? I believe if Justine was wearing a hijab, she’d be alive. The reality is that Noor should never have been a police officer, and only was because he was Muslim. On the force since 2015, he had three complaints against him. He was described by neighbors as “jumpy,” “ill-tempered,” “strict” and “disrespectful of women and blacks.”

Ms Damond Ruszczyk called 911 to report a possible sexual assault in the alley behind her home just minutes before she was shot in July 2017.

Hijab-wearing Mayor Betsy Hodges instituted hiring policies in the police department to prioritize the hiring of Somali Muslims. This at a time when more than 22 young men from the community had left the state to join al-Shabab in Somalia, and roughly a dozen people have left in recent years to join the jihad in Syria, including the Islamic State group. The area in Minneapolis where Muslim killer-cop was recruited and fast-tracked for police work is a notorious hot spot for jihad recruitment.

Story continues below advertisement

Justice for Justine has been been a long, protracted road. Minneapolis Somali-Muslim cop Mohamed Noor shot unarmed, pajama-clad Justine Damond to death at point blank range. Damond had called 911 to report a sexual assault behind her home when she heard the woman screaming for help. Mohamed Noor “shot to kill” her when she approached his squad car just minutes after she called 911. Noor refused to talk to investigators when he was offered a chance to do a voluntary interview, and prosecutors wanted to use that as evidence.

“The circumstances surrounding the crime show that the defendant acted with the intent to kill,” prosecutors wrote in a motion to add second-degree murder.

Noor was found guilty of with murder and manslaughter.

Mohamed Noor to seek acquittal over Australian Justine Damond Ruszczyk’s killing

By ABC Australia, may 14, 2019:

Mohamed Noor, the former US police officer convicted of killing Australian woman Justine Damond Ruszczyk, is seeking an acquittal.
Key points:

Court documents show Noor’s legal team plans to argue there was insufficient evidence to sustain the third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges a jury found him guilty of last month.

Ms Damond Ruszczyk called 911 to report a possible sexual assault in the alley behind her home just minutes before she was shot in July 2017.

Noor, 33, who responded to the call that night, testified that a loud bang on his squad car made him fearful, and he fired when he saw a woman appear who was raising her arm.

He said he fired to protect his partner’s life, but prosecutors criticised Noor’s decision to shoot, saying he had “no basis” to believe she had a weapon when he could not see her hands.

Noor’s attorneys Thomas Plunkett and Peter Wold filed the motion for acquittal on Tuesday afternoon.

Judge Kathryn Quittance has yet to respond.

At a press conference after the verdict, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said he was confident in the jury’s findings.

“This is a solid jury verdict and we believe it will be upheld on appeal,” he said.
Noor did not act with a depraved mind: lawyers

Noor’s first charge is murder in the third degree, which is defined in the state of Minnesota as causing the death of another through a dangerous act and without regard to human life.

In the acquittal motion, Noor’s lawyers argued there was overwhelming evidence to show the former officer acted with a sound mind and genuine care for human life.

“A depraved mind is not the product of split-second reaction,” they wrote.

“Noor reacted to a dark alley in the middle of the night, a thump on the squad [car], a voice, a body appearing at the driver’s side window, the startled announcement of fear by [Noor’s partner, Officer Harrity] as he reached for his firearm, and his observation that the person in the window was raising their right arm.

“Noor’s actions to defend his partner and himself, in the context of that night, are not evidence of the depraved mind.”

They cited Noor’s actions following the shooting, including that he performed cardiopulmonary respiration (CPR) on Ms Damond Ruszczyk, as evidence he acted with care for human life.
Mohamed Noor, right, wears a suit and tie and looks to the centre as Justine Damond Ruszczyk looks ahead, smiling in composite.

Noor’s second charge is manslaughter in the second degree, which is characterised in the state of Minnesota as creating unreasonable risk of death to another through negligence.

Noor’s lawyers argued he could not be found negligent as he “understood his actions had consequences”.

“His actions were an attempt to minimise the danger he and Officer Harrity believed was real at that moment,” they wrote.
Sentencing scheduled for next month

Noor is currently being held at Minnesota’s maximum security prison. His sentencing is scheduled for June 7, and he faces up to 15 years in prison.

The jury of 10 men and two women spent nearly 12 hours debating the verdict last month.

Judge Quittance previously denied the lawyers’ request that Noor remain free on bond until his sentencing, and also ruled the public and journalists could view the nearly 300 exhibits of evidence presented in the trial.

The Hennepin County Attorney has requested the judge place limits on the way the material is viewed, saying that mischaracterisation of the evidence without context could affect Noor’s sentencing or appeal.

Judge Quittance has opened the matter for public debate until May 16.
‘I texted her … she was already gone’

Last week, Ms Damond Ruszczyk’s fiance spoke with US television network CBS in his first sit-down TV appearance since Noor’s conviction.

Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.
Video: Justine Damond Ruszczyk’s fiance describes her final moments (ABC News)

In the interview, Don Damond called for policing reform.

“I can understand why Black Lives Matter is so angry because you can see the unjustified shooting across this nation. But this is a blue issue,” Mr Damond said.

“I would like the Minneapolis Police Department to go back and consider how officers are trained.

“How can what was learned here be taken to change and address policing in this country?

“There needs to be changes made so that no-one has to go through this. That no-one has to ever experience what we experienced.”

In what would prove to be their final conversation on July 15, 2017, Ms Damond Ruszczyk rang her fiance, who was in Las Vegas for business, to tell him she was concerned about a possible sexual assault in an alley behind her home.

“I cannot even still get my arms around how this could happen,” Mr Damond said of his fiancee’s death.

“I’m coping, but … one day at a time.

“My first thought was, I want her to be safe. I said ‘just stay put and call 911, and then call me back’.

“Probably six or seven minutes later I texted her, having not heard from her. I said, ‘tell me what’s going on’.

“At this point, she was already gone.”

Noor could not wait to shoot someone. He was waiting to shoot his weapon. Justine was the person who gave him the chance. In Somalia they are shrugging their shoulders at his sentence, “It was just a woman. Why the big deal?” And that is what Noor thinks as well. Women are domestic animals in the koran. Read it for yourself. Killing a woman equates to putting down a dog.

His history of complaints by women he abused while on the job as a police officer speaks for itself. I think he should be castrated and sent back to Somalia in drag, so he can experience the misogyny he likes to lay on others. Cheaper than 15 years of paying for his lazy azz to sit and watch TV and be fed halal in prison and allowing him to waste more taxpayer money with appeals. You listening, Judge Quittance?

I have read that what invalidates prayers to allah is a woman or black dog walking in front of you while praying:

“Yes, a woman invalidates the prayer of another woman (if she passes in
front of her) under the condition mentioned in some established
narrations: if she has reached puberty. And there is no difference in
rulings of the Legislation between men and women unless there is a text
exempting women from the men; and there is no (such) text here. Rather
the text is general: ‘one’s prayer is invalidated if a woman (who has
reached puberty), a donkey or a black dog passes in front of him, if
there is not something like the rear part of a camel saddle in front of
him.’ [Saheeh Muslim 511, Saheeh Ibn Maajah 786] So there is no
difference in the ruling.”

I wonder if this is why women have to sit in a separate room (i.e. from men) or at the back of mosques?

There shouldn’t be much leeway on that. There are ranges for prison time. I think this situation received too much publicity but of course I could be wrong. Muslim, Keith Ellison is the AG in Minnesota…. he might be ballsy enough to interfere….

Rep. Ilhan Omar Sought Leniency for Men Accused of Trying to Join ISIS
Posted by Mike LaChance
Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00pm

Ilhan Omar, the new Democrat Congresswoman from Minnesota, asked a judge to go easy on nine men on trial in 2016 for allegedly trying to join the ISIS terrorist group. She was a state representative at that time. FOX 9 News reported in November, 2016: Rep. Ilhan Omar asks judge for compassion in ISIS recruit sentencing

“The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion.
We must alter our attitude and approach”

I think they want to distract him from running and ideally murdered in a Muslim prison.
The elite continues to stun me with their lawlessness as lawyers.

We have similar crap going on over here. A judge dismissed charges on a female Muslim doctor guilty of FGM. He single handedly decided criminalizing FGM is unConstitutional. FGM is illegal here. I don’t know if they appealed it.

They have scheduled his next court hearing to coincide with the results of the EU election so he could be thrown a prison sentence while being made an MEP. This is just so extraordinary that it sounds like fiction.

Twenty of them are running! I think Biden is being pumped up. I don’t believe he has real support but the global elites and FOX want him as the candidate. This is the fourth time Biden in running for President. Watch him team up with someone like Stacy Abrahams or Michele Obama as a VP. Trump should easily beat Biden but we also have to factor in massive voter fraud to win. Biden is another Hillary….
One more entered the circus – NYC communist, Muslim loving, Mayor Bill de Blasio! – now 21 running!

First, the victim called 911 twice in 8 minutes, there is no reason to doubt that her address was known. Why then didn’t the cops go to her residence, get out of the police car and attempt to question her as to what the specifics were so they could investigate what was happening. Second, there was no reason and not (IMO) normal procedure for an officer to draw his firearm inside of the police car.
Third, it is my opinion that these officers scared themselves into being on edge, which is why they didn’t exit the car and why doofus drew his firearm inside the car and fired across the front of his partner (pretty dangerous to me) hitting and killing the victim. the other officer had a year on the job and doofus had 21 months, Both should have still been partnered with more experienced officers and not each other. Doofus already had three complaints against him in 21 months. Doofus is going to prison where he belongs.
