Pope Rejects ‘Excessive Demand for Sovereignty’, Pushes Idea of Global Authorit

Pope Francis is pushing for steps toward global authority that supersedes the rights of individual countries, all with the goal of pursuing “the common good” on issues like climate change and immigration.
Story continues below advertisement“When a supranational common good is clearly identified, it is necessary to have a special authority legally and concordantly constituted capable of facilitating its implementation. We think of the great contemporary challenges of climate change, new forms of slavery and peace,” he told members of the Pontifical Academy.
They met last week at the Vatican to discuss the topic of: “Nation, State, Nation-State.”
While addressing the conference, Francis rebuked the trend of nationalism among individual countries and the many tensions that “come from an excessive demand for sovereignty on the part of States.”
However, the pope defended patriotism as a good thing. But he warned it can become perverted when “it involves the exclusion and hatred of others when it becomes a conflictual nationalism that builds walls, indeed even racism or anti-Semitism,” according to Breitbart.com.
Francis also implied national sovereignty becomes twisted when countries do not have a welcoming attitude toward migrants.
“The Church observes with concern the reemergence, in many parts of the world, of currents that are aggressive towards foreigners, especially immigrants, as well as a growing nationalism that neglects the common good,” he told the conference.
This, in turn, “threatens to jeopardize consolidated forms of international cooperation, undermines the aims of international organizations as a space for dialogue and meeting for all countries in a spirit of mutual respect, and hinders the attainment of the sustainable development goals approved unanimously by the United Nations,” the Pope said.
The Pope also said individual countries can no longer look out for their own people by themselves due to globalization.
“The nation-state is no longer able to procure the common good of its populations alone. The common good has become global and nations must associate for their own benefit,” Francis said.
The Pope also pushed the idea of supranational entities to the conference. A supranational union is defined as a type of multinational political union where negotiated power is delegated to an authority by governments of member states. The term is sometimes used to describe the European Union, according to Wikipedia.
For instance, a group of nations could “strengthen their cooperation by connecting certain functions and services to intergovernmental institutions that manage their common interests,” he said.
“When a supranational common good is clearly identified, it is necessary to have a special authority that is legally and concordantly constituted and capable of facilitating its implementation,” the Pope concluded.

The Founding Fathers agreed, ” Christ is my only King!” The Catholic Church is full of control freaks and have destroyed themselves from within. Their conquest by other means has used deceit and manipulation since it early days. Watching Church Militant will make your heart sick, for the laity cannot address the problem and aren’t fully aware of the evil deeds their hierarchy have done. I hope they come to their senses and Ted Haggert their evil priests. I don’t know why they don’t get it, they need to pick up and move on without these impersonators who claim to be spiritual leaders. The word liberty 1st appeared in the Old Testament and it means self government.

The U.S. was founded on Judea Christian principles. It was the Protestant flavor of Christianity that the U.S. was founded on. Protestants fled from England to the U.S. to have the freedom to practice their religion. Notice all the founders were various flavors of Protestants. Look at who signed the Declaration of Independence. Ironically, David Horowitz, who is Jewish, is also stating that in his book, Dark Agenda.

By todays standards they would probably be considered radicals. AND? Considering where they came from and where we are, did they not contribute? They considered themselves stepping stones to something better, had the tenacity to live it out and not shove it down others, a compact within their own group. This is natural law, to be left to live as you please as long as your not interfering with others, the building blocks of local government.

Even failures are contributions, ask anyone in business. You speak as if you’ve watched Mark Passio’s seminar on natural law. One thing that is left out is the importance of once you’ve made a voluntary contract, you must fulfill your end of the commitment. A doctor can’t stop 1/2 way through an open heart surgery and say I want to renegotiate my contract with you. That is operating in bad faith. If you haven’t seen Marks video, it’s 8hrs. 48m. long and I know you’ll like it because it expands and clarifies the points you brought up, giving backround historical info that you will only get glimpses from others. In the end we must say here we are, how are we going to move forward and with the knowledge we’ve learned from the past along with latest scientific info, it should be easy, just have to set the ego aside, which is addressed in the seminar. That and lose the lust for statism.

Perhaps you are speaking figuratively, but where did the founding fathers agree that “Christ is my only King”? For example, Jefferson was a deist- I would have found that statement to be out of character for him.
Your comment brouht one other thought to my mind. I once heard a rabbi say that if he were not Jewish, he would be Roman Catholic, due to the strong moral traditions of the Catholic Church. Were those traditions followed in all situations? Certainly not- but the principles are there. Unlike, I might add, some other “religions”.

I’d research farther into Jefferson being a deist before saying that again. Don’t take someone else’s word for that. When I said Founding Fathers, I meant most of them. With all the information we have available to us today, we should be able to clarify better than they did, instead of going backwards. I’m Christian Orthodox. True Christianity isn’t a religion, it simply is the way things are, reality. Natural law and all the scientific, historical, and archeological evidence proves that. Someone will blurt out to me, ” I’m a Jew.” I ask them if their a Jew by blood or by faith, and they always get a glossed over look on their face and have no answer. Some Catholics believe in purgatory, some never heard of it. Schisms abound. That is why we’re in this mess.

The “strong moral traditions” of the Catholic Church? Like… pedophilia? Like… selling indolences which was a money grabbing scheme? Like… worshipping people as if they are God but denying they are worshipping them (when you pray to and bow down to them these are acts of worship)?
Hmmm… I seem to recall someone somewhere rebuking some people for putting the traditions of man over the law of God. So I suppose it should be expected that one who clings to one set of traditions that were put above God would embrace another set of traditions that are placed above God.

There was a reason they didn’t want the Bible translated into the common languages. As you state, it was all about power and control. Even now, through the tradition of the Catholic Church, for them to stay “faithful”, they accept/embrace these traditions over scripture. One of these is to idolize the pope who is considered infallible. Anything the line of Popes say that contradicts the natural reading of scriptures abrogates that natural reading.., because he is infallible. But only God is infallible. Man with his sinful nature is fallible. Even Peter, who was behaving questionably, was rebuke by Paul for what he was doing… when the Pope has no accountability then there is nothing to keep him from going in a bad direction.
When you fear losing your salvation due to your misdeeds, then you fear straying from the “god” who provides your salvation… not that salvation come from the Catholic Church but that’s what’s been indoctrinated into their minds.

Teachings are diametrically opposed! Christians also believe, John 14:6, Acts 4:12 , John 3:16, Romans 10:9 etc.. Islam denies all those verses!

Once again, the Pope spoke of Joseph, Mary and Jesus as “refugees”. They were not “refugees” or “illegal aliens” or “seeking asylum”. Joseph’s home town was Bethlehem. A decree was issued requiring people to return to their home town for the CENSUS COUNT, so Joseph, and Mary, pregnant with Jesus, trekked to Bethlehem for the census. There were people coming and going as people traveled to their home towns for the census so accommodations were full and you know the rest of the story.
Later King Herod The Great, in Jerusalem, hearing about this new born “King of the Jews” became paranoid and felt threatened. He demanded all male babies be murdered that were two years old and under, with the hope of murdering Jesus and removing any threat. (Matthew 2:16-18). Herod initiated the “Massacre of the Innocents” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacre_of_the_Innocents An angle appeared to Joseph in a dream and warning him to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. (Matthew 2:13) So Joseph, Mary and Jesus escaped to Egypt in 5 or 4BC which was also part of the ROMAN EMPIRE.
Egypt was outside of the dominion of King Herod, but BOTH EGYPT and palestine were part of the ROMAN EMPIRE when Joseph, Mary and Jesus fled there. King Herod simply had no jurisdiction over Egypt. Bethlehem was linked by a coastal road known as “the way of the sea” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Via_Maris making travel between Bethlehem and Egypt easy and safe and that is what they used it to flee to Egypt – part of the Roman empire but not touchable by Herod.

I think the Pope is more dangerous than Islam. Islam mostly poses a physical threat. They can kill the body. People follow the Pope who is leading souls to their destruction. Death and destruction brought about by Islam is merely a temporal event. Destruction of the souls is an eternal condition.
Interestingly, it seems the pope embraces the Quran as the word of God… maybe he will say the shahada and trade his robes for a kuffiyeh and thobe. Then it won’t be so confusing as to why he seems to embrace Islam as much as he does as well as why he embraces the Islamic invasion across the EU.

Pope Francis told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that the United States of America has “a distorted vision of the world” and Americans must be ruled by a world government, as soon as possible, “for their own good.”
The Pope made the observation in an interview with La Repubblica reporter Eugenio Scalfari.
“Last Thursday, I got a call from Pope Francis,” Scalfari reported. “It was about noon, and I was at the newspaper when my phone rang.”
He said Pope Francis had been watching Putin and Trump at the G20 and had become agitated. The Pope demanded to see him at four that afternoon, according to a Google translation of the Italian report.
“Pope Francis told me to be very concerned about the meeting of the G20,” Scalfari wrote.
As translated into English by Agence France Presse, which picked up the story, the Pope said: “I am afraid there are very dangerous alliances between powers who have a distorted view of the world: America and Russia, China and North Korea, Russia and Assad in the war in Syria.”
“The danger concerns immigration,” the Pope continued to La Repubblica. “Our main and unfortunately growing problem in the world today is that of the poor, the weak, the excluded, which includes migrants.”
“This is why the G20 worries me: It mainly hits immigrants,” Pope Francis said, according to AFP.
Pope Francis’s idea that Americans would be better off under a world government doesn’t stop there. The radical leftist pontiff also went on record stating that Europe should become one country under one government.
In the same interview, according to La Repubblica, Pope Francis said that Europe must take on a “federal structure,” resembling feudal times when the peasants were ruled by unimpeachable monarchs.
“I also thought many times to this problem and came to the conclusion that, not only but also, for this reason, Europe must take as soon as possible a federal structure,” the Pope said, according to the Google translation of the La Repubblica article.

” Climate change” is code for political climate, which is going against them, thank God. UCC is Universal Commercial Code, Admiralty Law. But is all written by Catholic lawyers and could just as well be called what it really is, Universal Catholic Code, legal statutes having nothing to do with lawful government. Many people ask what is this Pope up to, I reply that you have to first understand he is a Jesuit. The Jesuits stand for the primacy of the Church. Read your history and you will understand that up until about the 1400’s, a mere 600 years past, the Church was the Supreme authority. They appointed and endorsed kings and most the major nobility who basically ruled by the authority of the Church.
