Ben Rhodes Blames Jewish Donors for Obama Not Being More Anti-Israel

12

Rhodes sounds just like the anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar: “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.” But in Obama’s case, it really was. Obama was a Jew-hater from the very start, and surrounded himself with venomous anti-Semites throughout his political career, as I meticulously documented in my book The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America. Now Rhodes is revealing that Obama moderated his own Jew-hatred in order to fool Jewicidal leftists into pouring money into his coffers. Nevertheless, while he was President, he did more to damage our alliance with the only democracy in the Middle East than any other President ever did. And the money from the Jewicidals kept flowing in.

“Ben Rhodes Blames Jewish Donors for Obama Not Being More Anti-Israel,” by Joel B. Pollak, Breitbart, March 29, 2019 (thanks to Todd):

Ben Rhodes, a former national security aide to President Barack Obama, told the New York Times this week that the “donor class” had prevented Obama from taking more anti-Israel steps than the administration had wanted to take.

Story continues below advertisement

Rhodes spoke to author Nathan Thrall for a feature article titled, “How the Battle Over Israel and Anti-Semitism Is Fracturing American Politics.” The headline describes “politics,” but Thrall focused on policy debates within the Democratic Party, which has seen the rise of an assertive anti-Israel constituency in recent years. That constituency has included overtly and unabashedly antisemitic critics, largely but not exclusively from the Muslim community.

Thrall writes about the “boycott, divestment, sanctions” (BDS) movement, which seeks to isolate Israel as apartheid South Africa was once isolated — a comparison that BDS critics find not only factually wrong, but also offensive.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), whose recent antisemitic remarks sparked turmoil within the House Democratic caucus, supports BDS (though Omar suggested otherwise to voters in her Minnesota’ district during the 2018 election).

One of Omar’s most notorious remarks was, “It’s all about the Benjamins,” followed by a claim that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) bribes members of Congress to support Israel. (AIPAC does not endorse or donate to candidates.) Thrall notes that Jewish donors do figure disproportionately among the Democratic Party’s largest donors — though he allows that few of them “prioritize pro-Israel policies above all other issues.”

Enter Rhodes — one of the architects of the Iran nuclear deal, which was vehemently opposed by Israel and by pro-Israel Americans. He blamed Jewish donors for the Obama administration’s supposed restraint towards Israel:

According to Ben Rhodes, a former deputy national-security adviser and one of Obama’s closest confidants, several members of the Obama administration wanted to adopt a more assertive policy toward Israel but felt that their hands were tied. “The Washington view of Israel-Palestine is still shaped by the donor class,” Rhodes, who does not support B.D.S., told me, when I met with him at the Obama Foundation in October. “The donor class is profoundly to the right of where the activists are, and frankly, where the majority of the Jewish community is.”

Rhodes’s claims were echoed by “[a]nother former member of the Obama White House,” who told Thrall that the Obama administration had prevailed upon the United Nations Security Council to delay a vote against Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) to after the 2016 election. (The resolution also declared Israel’s presence in eastern Jerusalem — including the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, inhabited by Jews for millennia — to be illegal.)

But these claims are contradicted by the fact that after the Obama administration abstained, allowing such an anti-Israel resolution to pass for the first time, Jewish donors (and voters) hardly bolted from the Democratic Party….

The Democratic party needs to get rid of its anti-semites or it is doomed.

President John F. Kennedy increased arms sales to Israel, even if when he had to override State Department policies.

It was Israel which most impressed upon President Kennedy the complexity of nuclear proliferation. Israel was the first case with which he had to struggle as president.

Only weeks before his inauguration the Eisenhower administration discovered and confirmed the secret reactor at Dimona.

The news leaked out while the Eisenhower administration was pondering a Special National Intelligence Estimate which asserted that on the basis of the available evidence plutonium production for weapons is at least one major purpose of this effort. According to the estimate if it was widely believed that Israel was acquiring a nuclear weapons capability it would cause consternation in the Arab world, with blame going to the U.S. and France for facilitating the project. The United Arab Republic (Egypt/Syria) would “feel the most threatened,” might approach the Soviets for more “countervailing military aid and political backing,” and the Arab world in general might be prompted to take “concrete actions” against Western interests in the region. Moreover, Israel’s “initiative might remove some of the inhibitions to development of nuclear weapons in other Free World countries.”

President-elect Kennedy visited the White House along with his senior team. After 45 minutes of one-on-one conversation with President Eisenhower, the two men walked to the Cabinet Room to join their departing and incoming secretaries of state, defense and treasury to discuss the transition. One of Kennedy’s first questions was about the countries which were most determined to seek the bomb. Israel and India.

Secretary of State Christian Herter fired back, and added that the newly discovered Dimona reactor, being constructed with aid from France, could be capable of generating 90 kilogram of weapons-grade plutonium by 1963. Herter urged the new president to press hard on inspection in the case of Israel before it introduced nuclear weapons into the Middle East.

With his concern about stability in the Middle East and the broader nuclear proliferation threat Kennedy took Herter’s advice seriously. Within days he met with departing Ambassador Reid for discussions of Dimona and other regional matters. To help him prepare for the meeting, new Secretary of State Dean Rusk provided an updated report about Israel’s nuclear activities and a detailed chronology of the discovery of Dimona. For the rest of Kennedy’s time in office, Dimona would remain an issue of special and personal concern to him and to his close advisers.

The most important event covered in this collection was the “nuclear summit” held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City on May 30, 1961, between Kennedy and Ben-Gurion. We refer to it as a nuclear summit because Dimona was at the heart of that meeting. The encounter was made possible thanks to a reassuring report about the first American visit to Dimona, which had taken place ten days earlier.

Kennedy had pressured Ben-Gurion to allow the visit since taking office, insisting that meeting the request – made initially by the Eisenhower administration after the discovery of Dimona – was a condition for normalizing U.S.-Israeli relations. In a sense, Kennedy turned the question into a de facto ultimatum to Israel. For weeks Ben-Gurion dragged his feet, possibly even manufacturing or at least magnifying a domestic political dispute (what was known in Israel as the Lavon Affair) into a government resignation to delay that Dimona visit.

By April 1961, after a new government had been organized, Israeli Ambassador Avram Harman finally told the administration that Israel had agreed to an American tour of Dimona.

On May 20, two AEC scientists, U. M. Staebler and J. W. Croach Jr., visited the nuclear facility on a carefully crafted tour. The visit began with a briefing by a Dimona senior management team, headed by Director-General Manes Pratt, who presented a technological rationale for, and historical narrative of, the project: the Dimona nuclear research center, the Americans were told, was conceived as a means for gaining experience in construction of a nuclear facility which would prepare them [Israel] for nuclear power in the long run. In essence, according to Pratt, this was a peaceful project.

As the American team’s summary report, which was highlighted in a memorandum to National Security Advisor McGeorge Bundy, made very clear, the AEC team believed that the Israelis had told them the truth: the scientists were satisfied that nothing was concealed from them and that the reactor is of the scope and peaceful character previously described to the United States by representatives of the Government of Israel.

You are right. But President Kennedy put pressure on Israel because he had bad advisors.

John F. Kennedy was always very supportive of Israel.

In the end thank G-d Israel went ahead with the Dimona.

Israel is surrounded by 57 barbaric brutal Islamic countries. If any country has to worry about her safety its is Israel.

The muslim countries have vast amounts of land and yet they can’t stop threatening Israel or let Israel live in peace. The very existence of Israel is an insult to Islam.

Long live Israel the only democracy in the Middle East today.

The Democrat party won’t get rid of its antisemites and I am not sure if it will even doom them. Maybe if enough blacks vote for Pres. Trump, that will doom the Democrat party.

Rhodes, whose mother is Jewish, was the Goebbels of the Obama clique: a prime mover of the Iran “deal” – which was, not to put to fine a point on it – a death warrant for Israel.

As for Rhodes’ appointment to the board of the Holocaust museum, I haven’t heard that there were objections; neither were there objections when Cameron Hudson, another Obama Flunky was appointed.

Soon after the Hudson appointment, the Holocaust museum issued a report absolving Obama for his inaction in Syria – which was later retracted.

I quote: “Some Jewish communal leaders suggested both privately to Tablet, and in conversations with board members and staff at the Holocaust Museum, that the Museum’s moral authority had been hijacked for a partisan re-writing of recent history, and alleged that the museum had absolved the Obama administration of any moral or political error in its response to mass atrocities in Syria” – John Sexton, Hot Air, 9/6/17.

Such is the state of American Jewry – and the museum itself.

Some people applaud the effort and wealth of others who have, worked and made sacrifice to get to where they are.
Most others sadly adopt a politics of envy approach, because it is easier to shout and abuse than to get off ones butt and go and get it themselves.
This is primarily why people hate the jewish people, because they are very intellegent, dilligent hard working and don’t inbreed, or deminish thier IQ. They are perfectly in control of their destiny and those low IQ savages do not have the intellegence to see it or understand it.

Ben Rhodes, is one evil man.

He has no moral compass and is cruel and unethical. Sick man.

These left-wingers never cease to amaze.

They are immoral, greedy and cruel. The Iran deal is the most unethical deceptive deal and as President Trump said the worst deal ever in the history of the US.

Rhodes mother is Jewish? Another Kapo. Probably a buddy to George Soros and Max and Sidney Blumenthal. Birds of a sick feather. A sick feather that is.
