February Discoveries in the Perigord Vert

The month of February was warm and sunny here in the Dordogne. There was nothing to do but seize the day(s) and get out and discover some new places. The outings were varied. There was the day out to the countryside, another to a chateau, an afternoon in the city of Perigueux, even a visit to a research place that is raising river mussels. All this and we haven't even scratched the surface of all the adventures just around our small village of Bourdeilles.

You are a gift through your beautiful photos,
Allowing me to dream and appreciate a place I love and have never been.

Congratulations on a nice February. In our spot in Hood River, Oregon February has been utter hell. We had the whole winter in one months and it is not over yet. We are in Florida escaping, but anticipate driving home from Portland on Wednesday nght in the snow. It was 17° at our house last night. It was nice to be able to access my back yard weather station to find out while sitting in the 85° weather here. But this is boring. I will be happy to get back to the seasons.
We love your region of France. The history, the views and the food make it one of my favorite places. Have you read, "Timeline," by Michael Crighton? It takes place in the Dordogne during the hundred years war.
