Arkansas: House passes resolution calling on law enforcement agencies to suspend contact with CAIR over terror links

On Monday, February 18, the Arkansas House of Representatives sent a strong signal to law enforcement agencies within its borders to beware of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Representative Brandt Smith, the House Majority Whip authored HR1006 which calls on law enforcement to suspend contact and outreach with CAIR. The resolution was adopted by the House with overwhelming support.
The resolution was conceived due to CAIR’s nefarious ties and history, and especially because of the multiple CAIR directors, employees and members who have been convicted on terrorism and terrorism-related charges over the years.
The text of the resolution appears below:
WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has suspended all formal contacts with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”) due to evidence demonstrating a relationship between CAIR and Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist organization of the United States Department of State; and
WHEREAS, in United States of America v. Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the largest successful prosecution of terrorism-financing in our country’s history, CAIR was identified as an associate of the Muslim Brotherhood and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial; and
WHEREAS, CAIR opened its first office in Washington, D.C., with the help of a grant from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a charitable organization that was closed by the United States Department of the Treasury for funding jihadist terrorist organizations; and
WHEREAS, United States ally, the United Arab Emirates, officially designated CAIR as a terrorist organization in 2014; and
WHEREAS, in March 2011, Muthanna al-Hanooti, a director within CAIR, was sentenced to a year in federal prison for violating United States sanctions against Iraq under Saddam Hussein; and
WHEREAS, in 2006, the co-founder of CAIR’s parent organization, Islamic Association for Palestine (“IAP”), Sami Al-Arian, was sentenced to 57 months in prison on terrorism charges for financing Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a designated foreign terrorist organization; and
WHEREAS, in 2004, CAIR-Northern Virginia director Abdurahman Alamoudi pled guilty to terrorism-related financial and conspiracy charges, which resulted in a 23-year federal prison sentence; and
WHEREAS, in 2009, Ghassan Elashi, who served as a founding board member for CAIR’s regional chapter in Texas, was sentenced to a total of 65 years in prison after being convicted of 10 counts of conspiracy to provide, and the provision of, material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization; 11 counts of conspiracy to provide, and the provision of, funds, goods and services to a Specially Designated Terrorist as determined by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury; 10 counts of conspiracy to commit, and the commission of, money laundering; 1 count of conspiracy to impede and impair the Internal Revenue Service; and 2 counts of filing a false tax return; and
WHEREAS, Randall Todd (Ismail) Royer, who served as a communications specialist and civil rights coordinator for CAIR and trained with and set up an internet-based newsletter for Lashkar-I-Taiba, an al Qaeda-tied Kashmir organization that is listed on the United States Department of State’s international terror list, was also indicted on charges of conspiring to help al Qaeda in the Taliban battle American troops were fighting in Afghanistan and was sentenced to 20 years in prison on April 9, 2004; and
WHEREAS, in September 2003, CAIR’s former community affairs director, Bassem Khafagi, pleaded guilty to 3 federal counts of bank and visa fraud, and agreed to be deported to Egypt after he had funneled money to activities supporting terrorism and had published material advocating suicide attacks against the United States, illegal activities that took place while he was employed by CAIR; and
WHEREAS, Rabih Haddad, the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based CAIR fundraiser, was arrested on terrorism-related charges and was deported from the United States due to his work as Executive Director of the Global Relief Foundation, which in October 2002 was closed by the United States Department of Treasury for financing al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:
THAT the House of Representatives encourages law enforcement to suspend contact and outreach with the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
The resolution could be a lot longer and one we’d add to the list is that CAIR is now representing an ISIS recruiter who incited jihad against Americans and is trying to bring her – and her son of a jihadi – back to the United States.

why does CAIR have any clout at all in American courts at all? The court system in the US is surrendering to outside/illegal US influencing strategies. For this I do not forgive them-what ever happened to the “balls” of the US? No muslim should hold office in the US-period!
Mr Barr better some big ones to set this you country right.

Obama protected CAIR and the “secular” Muslim Brotherhood. Maybe this will end.
I’m not sure about Barr. He goes back years with Mueller. They socialize and even attend the weddings of each family’s kids and of course the two wives have Bible studies together!
Barr’s Deputy AG is uncertain too. If accurate, Jeffrey Rosen, Barr’s choice as deputy to replace Rod Rosenstein, was an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, Barr’s former law firm, and is currently deputy transportation secretary. Interestingly that is a connection to Mitch McConnell via Mitch’s wife Elaine Chao who is the current Transportation Secretary.
Previously Mr. Rosen served General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor for the White House Office of Management and Budget during the George W. Bush administration. Before that, he was also with the Department of Transportation, serving as General Counsel. Rosen has a B.A. in economics and a J.D. from Harvard.
It looks like there is seniority pipeline that is drawn from. Maybe Barr is okay? Mueller is filthy and the rumor is Mueller is wrapping up this farce Russian investigation. Time will tell it if is more of the same or will he they try to clean things up?

Mueller while at the FBI was responsible for pushing out more ” seasoned” investigators then introduced a new training within the FBI more favorable to CAIR & the Muslim Brotherhood and their propaganda.

Obama did the same thing in the military. Forced out 194 elite, seasoned high ranking military…..interesting to note, he fired Mattis also….didn’t hear the left screaming back then like they did when President Trump fired him.
This tells me that Mattis was not loyal to any administration…..just to the “military complex” that Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell speech. The military has as deep a Swamp as D.C…..Google General Paul E. Vallely…he published the list of the 194 “retired” elites by Obama.

Frankly, I see nothing changing with barr taking over. He has too man connections with the open borders and gun control riff raff. There will forever be a 2 tier judicial field with some being ‘better’ than others, therefore some get no sentence for a crime that you and I go to jail for. I don’t yet have any trust in him or his team…..

I don’t know….I can’t believe as savvy as President Trump is and proven to be in the last year…that he doesn’t know what he is doing with Barr.
I’ve heard Barr is in there because of the Dumbocrat Jarred…but I couldn’t confirm that story.

Agreed, this should occur in all states and here in Canada too-they go by a different name but it’s the same sleazy group of terrorists looking to “destroy our miserable house from within.”
I think the key is for all of us non-Muslims who are ‘woke’ to Islam, to barrage the FBI, CIA, CSIS, RCMP, intelligence services with any information we discover on Muslims preaching hatred and death against us Canadians and Americans. Of course we need to record it and provide evidence, which will make it easier for them to do their job.
In the past I received numerous death threats from Muslims because I exposed Islam on online forums but I simply didn’t bother to report them to the police because I knew nothing would get done.
Now I believe western nations are starting to take Islamic terrorism much more seriously so there’s a good chance that if we report on Muslim troublemakers that the authorities will investigate and deal with them.
Terrorist attacks are bad press for political parties in power, since they get blamed if people end up getting injured or killed. This forces them to get tougher-so I believe the tide is slowly turning in our favor.

It is a sad truth that in Canada threats against non-muslims were not taken seriously. I’m not sure that under our present government the tide can turn, but once we boot the shiny phoney with a resounding crash we have a chance.

The plug was pulled on the Holy Land Foundation Trial, though the Judge said there was enough evidence to indict, in early summer of 2009.
