That it was a hoax was obvious from the beginning. “This is MAGA country” — in Chicago? And a couple of guys were walking around in sub-zero temperatures with a noose and some bleach, just looking for a gay black man to terrorize? The left is so insane with hatred of Trump that it fabricates “hate crimes” like this in order to try to give people the impression that all his supporters are violent thugs. In reality, the violent thuggery is all on the left.

“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett said he was attacked by two masked men, most likely because he is an anti-Trump gay black man.

The story might just be a complete and utter hoax.

The current public stance of the Chicago police is that earlier this month, at 2 a.m. on a very cold Chicago night, Smollett was the victim of what appears to be a heinous hate crime where he was physically attacked by two men, and humiliated due to his race, homosexuality, and possibly his opposition to President Donald Trump. The Chicago media, in official reports, has largely treated that narrative as legitimate, while chronicling the complete lack of suspects and corroborating evidence as more of a frustration than any indication that something else might be going on here.
Behind the scenes, however, based on conversations I have had with multiple people covering the story, there is a radically different take on what really did happen to Smollett. In short, there is near unanimity among police sources that Smollett’s story is very likely not true. And that even the media outlets still regurgitating the current “party line” don’t really believe it.

It is very obvious that if one major news outlet in Chicago had the guts to be the first to openly discredit Smollett’s story, the others would soon follow the leader. But because the risk of being wrong in this situation (see Smollett’s PC Force Field), there is just no incentive to take that dive until and unless the police finally make a definitive statement.
What would compel Smollett to pull such a stunt IF he’s lying.

Jussie Smollett is in the hot seat after there have been several reports that the openly gay actor may have possibly filed a false report to police. If that’s the case, the Chicago Police Department promises to charge Smollett for making a false police report in regards to the alleged hate crime perpetrated against him on January 29th….

What do Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, George Takei and Milo Yiannopoulos have in common? They are all out and proud gay men, and they were all sexually abused as underage minors.
Still, it cannot be denied that a disproportionately high number of gay men were abused as boys, and that certainly contributed to their sexual and emotional development.

Smollett is obviously lying but he’ll get away with it. For several reasons:
It is a lie many will want to believe
It is virtually impossible to prove a negative
It would not be PC to call him out on this
Since he didn’t identify his attackers, like…say a lacrosse team, his is essentially a victimless crime

Easy to prove this “negative”. Chi PD has reported that this fake was only off camera for 60 seconds, Chi is one of the most heavily surveiled cities. and the agent claims he was on the phone with him during the attack. Which is why they have refused to turn over their phones and records voluntarily, and the reason is therefore obvious. It’s time to get a warrant for those phones and records.

I didn’t see that yet. Was it a continuous 60 seconds? They would be more definitive than an aggregate 60 seconds. Perhaps Smollett will face charges yet, but I’m not holding my breath.

The police only reported that they reviewed thousands of hours of video (Chi is highly surveilled) but only showed to the public video of 2 persons of interest across the street who were sitting at a bus bench and then were walking in the same direction but across the street. That video is too dark to ID the two (I saw part of it that they circulated for public assistance) but from the posture and gait they seem to be black. Reportedly this section of Chi and particularly at night is half black and half gay,, so 2 whites hanging out in freezing weather and acting in any strange manner would definitely get noticed. Yes it was a continuous 60 seconds for which they had no video coverage of him. If this agent was on the phone at any time during that trip it would be easy to match with the timers on the videos. Jussie was seen entering the hotel wearing the noose like a neck tie, but I didn’t see a report if it was on video or came from witnesses.

This is what the left always does. Is is called “projection”. They “project” the tactics they use on to us to make us look bad. It is true in almost every case. Remember those fake “bombs” the were mailed a while ago? Nothing about them looked real. No explanation was given as to how they made it through the US Postal system, they looked fake, humorously so, and the story just fell apart. The fake attacks on mosques?
