The Washington Examiner reported Thursday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), whose open hatred of Jews should have rendered her unelectable to Congress, has instead been rewarded with a plum appointment to the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
This shows the extent to which open anti-Semitism has become mainstream and normalized on the Left today. In fact, it is likely that Omar’s paranoid hatred of Israel, rooted in Islamic anti-Semitism, made her a good candidate for this position in the eyes of Democrat leaders, who have been following a consistent anti-Israel line for years.
“Israel has hypnotized the world,” Omar wrote in a now-infamous weet. “May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.”

Trying to explain that tweet, Omar only made matters worse. She told Christiane Amanpour that while her language was “unfortunate,” those were “the only words” she could find to do justice to how she felt about Israel’s defensive action in Gaza in 2012. Then she told Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto: “I don’t know how my comments could be offensive to Jewish-Americans.”
The hijabed (and therefore pro-Sharia) Omar was less delicate when she fired back online at a man who challenged the tweet: “Drawing attention to the apartheid Israeli regime is far from hating Jews. You are a hateful sad man, I pray to Allah you get the help you need and find happiness.”
All this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding Ilhan Omar. Adam Kredo reported in the Washington Free Beacon last August that while she was serving in the Minnesota state House, Omar “once voted against a state bill to stop insurance payments to those convicted of terror acts, adding more fuel to accusations the candidate represents a fringe, anti-Israel section of the Democratic Party. Omar, a Muslim Somali-American who has come under fire for her harsh criticism of Israel, was one of just two lawmakers in 2017 who voted against a Minnesota bill to deny life insurance payments to any person convicted of aiding or committing terror acts, according to official vote tallies.”
Omar does indeed represent an “anti-Israel section of the Democratic Party,” it is by no stretch of the imagination a “fringe,” at least not anymore. It is mainstream in the Democratic Party, and not just mainstream, either: it’s the future.
There is corruption as well. David Steinberg of PJ Media has done extraordinary work in shedding light on aspects of Omar’s record that the establishment media has steadfastly ignored. Steinberg reports that Omar has “faced allegations — soon backed by a remarkable amount of evidence — that she had married her own brother in 2009, and was still legally his wife. They officially divorced in December 2017. The motivation for the marriage remains unclear. However, the totality of the evidence points to possible immigration fraud and student loan fraud.”
What’s more, she swore to apparent falsehoods in court. Steinberg also noted in last August that “Minnesota’s largest newspapers — along with every other mainstream outlet in the country — just whiffed on covering this: Signed, notarized court documents and time-stamped photos showing the Democratic frontrunner for Minnesota’s highest-profile House seat appearing to commit perjury. The common newsroom explanation, often valid, for having passed on a particular story — ‘we couldn’t independently verify it’ — simply does not apply here. The evidence…against Minnesota state Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-60B) consists of nothing but certified court filings and archived social media posts.”
But Leftists rarely have to answer for their corruption, and so in the new Democrat House, Omar is being rewarded rather than censured and investigated. She and her fellow Muslim Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib will also enjoy establishment media accolades as they pursue their hard-Left, anti-American, anti-Israel agenda. Their presence in the House of Representatives may be evidence of “diversity,” but it is also a disquieting sign of the continued dominance of identity politics, and the increasing balkanization of the American body politic. Forthrightly pro-America, pro-Israel candidates would stand little to no chance in either of their districts. And that is indicative of a much larger problem.

Anti-Semitism, indeed; yet, it also speaks volumes for the disdain, the contempt the Democrats hold for everyone outside of the Democrats’ autocratic worldview. It goes beyond treason; they hate America, Americans of any faith, politics except for Islam and those who are of their divisive and totalitarian doctrine, Progressive-Liberalism when translated, Liberal/Fascism. It does not matter what those of a different politics offer to maintain a stable, viable and sound Republic. The Democrats’ resolve is to destroy this Constitutional Republic. Their endeavor goes beyond extremism; it is now out and out subversiveness; a remake of the Bolshevik Revolution or Nazism’s genesis.
The end-game is not merely to win back the White House but ultimately eradicate all that has made America great. The Democrats alliance with Islam, Progressivism, and Globalism betrays their virulent enterprise. Striving to make America an autocracy or better said a Banana Republic , by utilizing the blueprint of past revolutionaries, Lenin, Mao, Castro, and yes, Hitler. Anti-Semitism is, of course, a faction of this party of hatred and bigotry. In the end, however, all who are not in accord with their totalitarian doctrine/mandate will become disenfranchised Americans, second-class, if that.

Yes, I fear they are succeeding, Felix. It isn’t shocking as most of the dullards who get news from the MSM and other sources are as thick as a plank. My wife, I am sure, worries about my sanity, as I continue to blather even in my sleep about the perilous situation. At times talking to the TV which in truth, from which I have weaned myself. Most worrisome is the myriad of imbeciles, gullible or more so, the true believers duped by the Democrats, Islam, the MSM and Globalists. I only pray that somehow something extraordinary befalls these idiots to awaken them from their self-created end and ours.

Of late I have been losing my self in old Twilight Zone shows. It’s one of the few things on Netflix that is not offensive. The problem is, the civility we had then is not present now. People looked and behaved like civilized people.
I’m not sure what we will use to replace Netflix with…my daughter likes watching this British bake show. They opened with an anti Trump skit. The show had nothing to do with Trump or politics and there it was! There is less and less to watch on Netflix. We dumped cable a few years back. FOX, hardly a new source to get excited about has their shows on youtube. I just couldn’t have y kids watching the trash ob cable.

Trump is doing a fantastic job, but so did Obama the other way. The number of time-bombs Obama installed in our system is almost uncountable. For example he arranged to “lose” a legal case resulting in the Flores Agreement, just in time for Trump to take over and be unable to hold illegal immigrant children in custody. He could, Trump can’t. As well as the surveillance etc. Obama did a fine job of destroying America, and Trump has a lot of work to do to gain the ground back.

Absolutely. Just as bad though, are America Jews who exercise their right to vote but who, at least 75% of them, have chosen to vote for candidates in the party of hatred, and who demonize those who vote conservative (even Jews), who routinely issue Jew-hating statements without correction, and who even voice their opinions against the Jewish state of Israel. BDS is endorsed as a side benefit to their despisement of Israel.
American Jews of the left cheer and clap for Omar and Talib in Congress while these some congressional jihadis are building a gallows like the one Haman prescribed for Mordecai, Esther and the Jews living in the kingdom of Ahasuerus.

The mechanics are simple. Pelosi got $1 million deposited in some account from Qatar or Turkey, perhaps. Pelosi then decides that newly elected Ilhan Omar goes on the Foreign Affairs Committee. Done.

I believe the moslems corrupt our officials by giving them inside tips on the stock option markets. The arabs control many huge hedge funds and know to the second when they make large transactions and the options on a stock could swing thousands of a percent . In that way they can transfer billions with little record.

I am slowly and reluctantly reaching the conclusion that one way or another, the left is winning.
Trump’s recent “compromise” was a stomach turner. He has no idea what these “dreamers” are like.
They do NOT belong here and TPS needs to go too. He needs to grow a set, declare a national emergency, call in foreign aid and fund the entire wall and needed border security and put some judges down there to send them back. After 20 days, by law he is forced to release them and they vanish in the population to never be seen again. Sure he’ll be challenged but who cares. This piece meal approach is ridiculous.
They behave like rodents. They tunnel under the wall, under fences, jump and climb over the walls and swim across the river to get here to be paid for or for crime. They shut down hospitals, because they don’t pay their bills and raise our rates, drain resources from schools, have behavior problems in school, don’t speak or read our language, perform under grade level so they get tutors, and have a low success rate with tax dollar money for “scholarships” in these merritless “diversity” programs. The cost of all this is passed on to you. Its ridiculous!
Shut down the border and accept no more fake “refugees” or migrants. I just wish all this “compassion” shown for people literally invading our country was shown towards LEGAL AMERICANS who don’t live in mansions with armed security and walls that have to deal with this trash that is invading us. How the hell can he have “empathy” for Angel Moms with such a betrayal? These people should not be used as props when it is convenient. They don’t want these illegals here or DACA people. It’s insulting.

Well I agree with you felix.
I do think Trump made the offer today as a show of conciliation.
It is true that if the Demokkkrats accepted it, it could be as bad a deal or worse as Reagan’s amnesty disaster.
However, I strongly suspect Trump feels he has 1) the upper hand, and 2) the show strengthens his hand.
He also had to get the narrative back on target after this week’s Big Buzzfake Lie.
So – as to Trump – I think it was a calculated risk.

I am getting impatient. I didn’t vote for amnesty, open borders and more illegal immigration through caravans that are never ending.
Living in a state literally crawling with this crap, has me more eager than perhaps others, of getting them out. They offer nothing useful but more dependency with an anchor baby in the near future. It is no coincidence that anchor babies don’t have baby daddies in their lives. Illegals also bring diseases and crime because they are unskilled and backwards.

Trump offered nothing and made it look like he offered something. He boxed Pelosi into a corner and she had no choice to reject it. Now, more than before, she “owns” the shutdown.
What Trump offered: 3 year temporary extension for DACA and TPS. But he can’t deport them now anyway, both those matters are tied up in court because of injunctions from leftist judges. THAT’s IT.
What Trump demanded: 5.7 B wall funding, more immigration judges, and an end to the Flores Agreement so he can hold children with their families and not have to release any of them before and unless they are actually granted asylum. Basically the whole conservative wishlist, not every item but quite a few of them.

She was elected from a Muslim heavy district, and Muslims will vote only for other Muslims, while stupid whites are more “enlightened” than to be “racist”. Now, with some strategic investment from some Muslim overseas sources probably, she’s going to have a career in the House on the Foreign Affairs Committee, working to poison lots of things.

Do you notice the black schemata (rag-like covering) on her head? Many in the Arab world, men and women, have schmatas on their heads. This is a sign of delightful dignity in Allah.
