British Prime Minister Theresa May suffered a catastrophic defeat Tuesday as Parliament overwhelmingly rejected her Brexit deal with the European Union — a defeat that places the future of Brexit in doubt and is likely to spark calls for May’s ouster via a general election.
She crossed the people and she will be punished. This gives Mrs May less than 24 hours to fight for her job.
British Prime Minister Theresa May suffered a crushing defeat Tuesday as Parliament overwhelmingly rejected her Brexit deal with the European Union — a defeat that places the future of Brexit in doubt and intensified calls for May’s ouster via a general election.
Story continues below advertisementMay’s withdrawal agreement was voted down 432-202, the largest for a prime minister in the history of the House of Commons. May was expected to lose, but the extent to which she lost was significant and marks a devastating blow for her leadership and her ability to go back to Brussels and negotiate further concessions. 24 hours for May to save her job – here’s how no confidence vote works
A motion has been brought. How likely is an election? What happens to Mrs May? Would the government fall? Your questions answered.

By Alan McGuinness and Sanya Burgess, political reporters
Theresa May’s Brexit deal has been defeated by 230 votes – the biggest government defeat in history.
And now Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has tabled a motion of no confidence in the government.
The vote itself will be held on Wednesday at 7pm following a debate in the Commons.
MPs will be asked to vote on a motion: “That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty’s Government.”
This gives Mrs May less than 24 hours to fight for her job.
Theresa May is hoping to win over the DUP with a series of pledges
Image: A defeat for Mrs May is not a surefire outcomeThere is no limit to the number of times Mr Corbyn can call a no confidence vote, but it is unlikely that the leader of the opposition would started a fight he did not think he could win.
And with the DUP saying they will stand by their agreement with the Tories, a defeat for Mrs May is not a surefire outcome.
If the government wins, the consequence is simple: Mrs May continues in office.
But, if she loses, all bets are off.
The magic number that the prime minister needs to win the vote is 318. But Sky News data-crunching reveals she is set to fall well short.
The government would fall and there would be a period of 14 days in which a new government can be formed. There are no rigid rules of what must happen during this fortnight period.
Mrs May, who has previously said she would not fight the 2022 election, could attempt to cling on and form a new administration.
However, she may decide it is time to go and hand the reins over to someone else.
A new Conservative leader would then have the chance to form a government – as would opposition parties.
The current make-up of parliament means the Conservatives remain the only party with enough numbers to have a likely chance of controlling the Commons.
More from BrexitThe new government is confirmed in office through passing a resolution in the Commons “That this House has confidence in Her Majesty’s Government.”
However, if no government is presented after 14 days, there would be another general election.

Throw out the witch.
I wish but the craven cowards in the Con party will not support the no confidence vote.
A major thing the USA can do for Britain & the world is to cleanse it’s social media (Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia…) from Muhammadists censoring Non-muhammadists.
Twitter is partly owned by Saudi Arabia & Facebook is for example censored by Hamas-CAIR.
Agree. Left/Liberal pro-jihadis/anti-nationals are crazy
Merkel govt funded Pro-jihadi Left/Liberals run propaganda to create more
sex slaves out of little children like in UK https://tinyurl.com/yd9jo5mf
Do these scumbags have any conscience ?
They sacrificed their consciences on the alter of pure evil and didn’t give it a 2nd thought.

There’s pictures of them growing up together on the web. There is a picture of Merkel with Hitler suggesting she’s his child. This is why the founders said don’t get entangled in foreign governments. Their leaders are all petty and small.
What a Threesome,……How Sick !!!!!
The Corporate Globalists who oppose Brexit are still in charge..
Brexit was a victory of the little people.. The betrayal of democracy in Britain is now complete with the UK moving to taxation without representation and a Brexit in name only…
Brexit was not a “victory of the little people”. Rather, it was a victory of THE people.
if BREXIT happens at all I’ll be surprised.
With or without a deal, Brexit is scheduled by law to take place. When a nation contributes far, in excess, of what they receive … what’s to worry? When a nation buys FAR more goods, from a group of nations, what’s to fear of leaving? I have not understood anything but a Hard Brexit. Non citizens … head ’em up and move ’em out. If krautland or froggyland become belligerent, do a China on them …. tariffs triple the price of the vehicle … Since the UK is a major customer of krautland’s cars ….
The UK has everything to gain and nothing to lose with a walkaway Hard Brexit.
Exactly. Those of us who really want out know this. Brexit could have taken place the day after the vote, if any british politician had the b*lls to actually do it.
One phone call, and one big huge explosion in that bl**dy chunnel, and we would have been free.
We’ve enough on our plate, this side of the Atlantic. However, for the English people, my thoughts and prayers have been with you. The people voted. The people didn’t want to pay any “divorce settlement”. If anything, since the UK contributes considerably more than it takes from the EU, YOU should have sent Brussels a bill. Put tariffs, very large ones, on EU goods … see how quickly they would scramble, BEGGING for a deal that was satisfactory to the UK. On whose payroll are the “ruling elite”?
The moslems and the eu, that’s been very clear for a long time. And absolutely we pay a fortune to them, and get nothing back in any way, except demands for our sovereignty, immigrants, and abuse.
And if this goes a** up and corbyn gets in, this country is quite literally dead in the water, along with every inhabitant who opposes him.
I pray it doesn’t happen to you guys. There have to be some survivors of globalism…
One of the main things that keeps it from happening in the U.S., for now, is our 2nd Amendment, among a few other things.
One of the main things that keeps it from happening in the U.S., for now, is our 2nd Amendment, among a few other things.
A British politician with balls does not exist. I used to admire Nigel Farage, but he has turned into a wimp criticizing the new leader of the UKIP and Tommy Robinson for daring to stand up for the country and complaining about the Muslims hordes taking over the country. May is a disgrace. She does not represent the real British people. She only represents the EU and the Muslim filth that she allowed into the country and still does, while continually lying about immigration. This woman is no leader, just an EU puppet like most European leaders.
UKIPs Gerard Batten and Jacob Reece Mogg of the conservative party are two politicians with guts truth and vision that spring to mind Ricky. There are far too many self interested scumbags that go nowhere near fitting that bill.
I am very supportive of Gerald Batten and I do support Jacob Reece Mogg, but he is not forceful enough. His heart is in the right place, but he would never dare criticize the Islamification of the UK. It needs tough leaders to speak out about all the problems facing the country. Most British politicians are just empty suits who do not represent the true British people.
As you know Ricky the Tory’s are just a main stream party and as such the main stream avoid direct controversy as they are more interested in chasing votes and getting into or retaining power so Mr Mogg wont make it plain what he is thinking but he is on the right of the conservatives and is a church going family man so my guess would be that he would be on our path. As regards Mr Batten he is perfect for the job as PM as he never hides his opinion of islam or the far left and is transparent with no skeletons in the closet. i think its essential that we do everything in our power to get ukip and Mr Batten into parliment. I too admire Anne Marie Waters but her party sadly will never rise above the fringe status where it currently sits and we are so desperate for real change’ that we need a more viable option. If this Brexit is denied the British people’ (that won the vote fair and square) then democracy in Britain will no longer exist and we will be going through the motions of a sham facade. And god forbid that the pro and self confessed Marxist Corbyn ever gets into power’ as that will be the day when i exercise my right as a dual national USA citizen and move lock and stock to America. In the meantime we fight on!
Why is it that patriotic activists, politicians and leaders are arrested and prosecuted on a regular basis for criticising Islam?
It’s because our treacherous leftwing elite – in a bid to gain Islamic votes and cosy up to Islamists – is slowly and sneakily introducing Sharia blasphemy laws in our legal system.
Criticism of Islam is now effectively a criminal offence Why is it that patriotic activists, politicians and leaders are arrested and prosecuted on a regular basis for criticising Islam?

its definitely been heading in that direction for a while ricky and thats why i do what i do.
So what about that bill that was passed last week, saying Hard Brexit would not happen without an affirmative vote of Parliament? When they get to March 29 with no affirmative vote for anything, I guess Brexit happens anyway because it’s what was already agreed between the UK and the EU?
Although I sat for the bar, in three US states, I never stood for the bar in the UK. I am unfamiliar with UK laws and am hesitant to set forth a guess. However, reading some renowned English legal minds .. it seems as if March 29th Brexit comes, with or without, Parliament’s approval. Just as many legal matters, there are always two (if not several) sides to any opinion set forth. I have a tendency to read those with which I agree. So … don’t try it at home.
The danger lies with the traitors within the government who may ask the EU for a postponement of article 50 which could delay Brexit until they have time to organise another referendum vote and one that they will ensure that we do not win. If this is allowed to happen then democracy will be dead in Britain and a dark age will follow but If we are successful then the globalists will fall and fail. Treasonous Times are upon us.
Where are we to turn, except to other righteous human beings? This is how revolutions begin. How many referendums do they want?
“confidence in HER MAJESTIES GOVERNMENT”. They don’t even hide it. The UNITED KINGDOM is a corporation owned by the BRITISH CROWN CORPORATION, the shadow government, own by the old British aristocracy. They operate under color of authority and color of law. A corporation cannot be a sovereign government.
Agreed. In any election, a voter’s three choices are party, issues, and candidate. May has only herself to blame for ignoring the will of the voters.
Margaret Thatcher, she ain’t.
No, it wouldnt be. Corbyn is pure evil.
He’ll flood this country with his hamas and hezbollah terrorist ‘friends’, probably arm them and unleash them on us, destroy any relationship we have left with Israel and America and completely annihilate this country.
Are you serious? Muslims would brutalize any Tories who dared look sideways at the Social Justice and Climate Change humanitarian authorities. That’s one of the benefits of diversity — there is no chance of any more popular uprisings.
That would be a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“INDEPENDENT, SELF-GOVERNING, DEMOCRATIC NATION”
That’s what the COUNTRY VOTED FOR. LET’S HAVE IT – NOW. BR – means BRITAIN EXIT means LEAVE.
We really don’t need THEM to tell US – OK, you can leave now – AFTER YOU PAY $39 TRILLION to EU – for WHAT?
You expect BRITONS to PAY for the many countries in the “EU” who haven’t paid a penny yet? FERGET-ABAHDIT!
Even GB isn’t a democracy..the people voted to leave the EU and the PM says she has the final say…yes, fire her libturd ass!
“If it pleases the Crown”.
Imagine a United Kaliphate run by antisemite Corbyn or the muslum HomeSec. Worse or better? I’d vote worse.
Much, much worse.
When the then Prime Minister, David Cameron, made a statement before the 2016 Referendum, he said that the result would be decided by the People – not the government, not the politicians, not vested interests – and the decision would be IN or OUT. Prome Minister May has spent two and a half years wriggling and on her knees before the EU in order to stay in. By the way, the EU is run by the European Commission whose members are APPOINTED not elected.
LOL. You could easily replace May w/Schmerkel, Trudeau or Macron.
I call her “BERZERKEL” I like “Schmerkel” too – sounds more “Jewish” – she would hate that.
So damn true, sadly. May has caused her own demise which will come sooner than later. Her despotism and treasonous bent foretell her legacy as an absolute failure.
From an antisemite woman to an antisemite man – PROGRESS WILL BE MADE!!
Boris Johnson is the only hope
Boris Johnson is the only hope May must hand off to Boris
There was another politician over there, Mosby or something like that, that made sense.
I wish I could remember his name.
It is amusing and tragic…but
substitute “Trump” for “Brexit” and that is how the treasonous UK elites feel about LEAVING the EU.
Rees-Moggs. I can’t remember his first name.
I thought he was a better pick than May, and at least he wanted us out of the evil union.
Jacob! His first name is Jacob. I knew I’d remember it eventually lol.
He’s quite the elegant speaker. Quick witted and eloquent. He seems too polite. There’s a great need, in the West, for true statesmen … if any actually exist in today’s climate.
Thank you!
That’s the one I was thinking of! I would prefer him over Boris but it’s not up to me.
I have listened to him speak a few times and he maybe a good replacement for May.
Why doesn’t he go for it? Get May out of there!
Britain has world of opportunity after Brexit, says JACOB REES-MOGG

I prefer him to boris, to be honest, I don’t think he’d be such a liability, but he could stick boris in as deputy, and that would probably work out quite well.
I’d love to see that treacherous b*tch may get hers, but not if that means corbyn becomes pm. That would finish this country completely. Labour always devastate whatever they’re put in charge of anyway, but he’s particularly bad news. Between him, diane abbot, and seamus milne, Jewish people, white people, and basically ANY non moslem people of any colour who aren’t willing to convert, in this country are doomed.
He would be my choice too felix, the man has a terrific brain and is an excellent MP.
May never intended to negotiate the exit from the RU. She was put into power by those who opposed BREXIT and wanted it thwarted and she performed well for her masters. She will now shortly be retired and appointed to the House of Lords where she can do little further damage. What is most important now is for President Trump to immediately offer the the UK a trade deal that eliminates all tariffs and restrictions on trade between our two nations. Once that has been accomplished Trump can then negotiate the proper trade agreements with the EU and secure for both the UK and the USA the free trade May was instructed to prevent at all costs. As Trump would say, “A win-win for the USA and the UK!”
The House of Lords boggles my mind. They aren’t elected.
It’s like generational entitlement and they seem totally disconnected from the voter.
At least we get to pick the lessor of the evils over here and most are evil.
Trump is eager to do a trade deal with the UK but May has been tasked to remain.
With millions of voters that do not exist, or have no legal right to vote … Do you really think that we actually choose between the lesser of two evils? Unless the vote is SO overwhelming that it cannot be defrauded, who actually is doing the choosing? It ain’t who votes that counts. It’s who counts the votes.
I know the loose estimate is we have to overcome 5-10% fraud depending on the state. It’s just going to get worse unless we clean out the illegals and move on deportations….
I think you have to admit they under estimated the fraud needed to get Hillary in.
I believe that Trump’s election, in numbers of votes, that they couldn’t overcome it. I wonder what the actual vote count of registered US citizen voters was.
They are fighting that too. Many want ILLEGALS voting in out election and absolutely outraged that Trump wants citizenship status on the 2020 Census.
I don’t understand that, much less some “judge’s” ruling. That question was on the census, long and short form, for many years. Supposedly, one of the purposes of a census is to determine the number of US citizens living in an area, in order to properly apportion representation. If you have thirty or forty million illegal aliens .. and they’re counted the same as citizens … it makes no sense to have a census.
I am starting to think UK might want to re-think Brexit. If they leave the EU trading agreement, who will trade with them? England NEEDS to trade, that’s been the source of all their success. Without that they are just a large island in the northern Atlantic, but not large enough to be self sufficient.
As one of the senior Conservative (yes Conservative) MP’s said, Donald Trump’s USA won’t readily trade with them. And why should we? Christopher Steele and that whole conspiracy to OVERTHROW OUR GOVERNMENT. Not 240 years ago (1776). Not 200 years ago (1812). 2 years ago. We have no need to trade with such people who are, quite simply, Never-Trump.
Sorry England you blew it. We won’t forget, maybe in another 200 years try again.
You sound like a complete jerk. There is a whole wide world out there to trade with. UK products are great and people want to buy them. We managed quite well BEFORE joining EU and we can manage quite well outside of it. You seem to forget we managed to be quite self sufficient for 2 years with some support from USA when all the rest of mainland Europe had capitulated to the Nazis. The EU may soon collapse, the cracks are already showing, the ordinary folk are fed up with the EU and immigration in several countries
and the globalists’ project to enslave everybody and create a new USSR will end
Trump is eager to trade with the UK but May is in the way. The EU is beginning to financially collapse. Someone else posted a article on that. Money is running out. As you said there are lots of countries out there wanting to trade with the UK.
Why would Trump want to trade with the country that conspired to overthrow him? The MP said that China is very protectionist. But someone made a good point that being in the collapsing EU might be worse still.
Steele doesn’t bother Trump. Nor does Christopher Steele influence our relationship with the U.K.. If you were President would you let a dweeb like this influence trade that you have control over? I wouldn’t. I’d be looking out for my country and doing what is best for them. Steele is a nobody. He made no bones about how he hated Trump. I am sure other elites do to, BUT money matters!
http://theduran.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/christopher.jpeg
You might want to ask yourself, why the EU economy is tanking.
Why are taxes being raised under the guise of a “carbon tax” , based on fake science?
Have you noticed the protests in France? It’s over immigration and taxes.
No kidding, Macron gave the wealthy the tax breaks but needs money to keep financing the invasion.
The EU is collapsing financially and that is why they need the UK. The UK still has some stored capital to run through. The EU offers nothing. The sooner the UK gets out of the EU, the sooner the UK will prosper with other countries. Who would believe that the UK could not fish off their own waters? I forget which country has UK fishing rights but it’s not the UK! The UK is being financially raped by EU rules and policies. There is no upside to staying in the EU.
Surprise! It’s france that’s fishing in our waters, and macron was holding that, among other things, over our heads unless we did what the e-vil u-nion wanted over the brexit deal.
I hope the Yellow Vests Guillotine the b*stard. The whole world will be better off.
Thank you. Oh, so that is who it was!
Why am I not surprised?
Everyone in the remaining 27 countries of the EU can fish our waters felix, our governments signed away our rights to manage our own stocks several years ago, now they’re a “common resource” open to all. Where before this act of treason in the fishing ports of the north east of England they would land 10 to 12 thousand boxes of fish daily, it’s now reduced to two or three hundred.
The EU is cannibalizing your country.
All I can say is while we have Trump, we are safe. He will do the best he can with what he has to work with. After him, who knows! We have a totally corrupt, FBI, DOJ, CIA and the uniparty fights him all the time. The media over here is getting worse.
The United States of America is more than willing, under this administration, to immediately begin trade negotiations with the UK. You must be thinking of obimbo, who told them “back of the line”. Moreover, the old Commonwealth trade relations would open, immediately, once the UK is not under the full control of the fat thumb of the EU. Then, there’s always WTO. And, China likes trading with anyone and everyone. Thoughts of trade shouldn’t even be an issue, with Brexit. If krautland were to stand in the way, remember one thing: About one in seven cars made in Germany are sold in Britain. More German cars are exported to the UK than anywhere else.
Pull a China on Krautland … where tariffs on imported vehicles (give special emphasis to Germany) are triple the cost of the vehicle. See how the German auto industry squeals … losing their number one market.
Hello old friend. i’m a little late to the argument being a bit distracted by other events but having just read through the comments of this report i applaud your grasp of this world changing subject and the way you have handled the limited words of lesser brained contributors like my ultra cretinous namesake here who appears to be living two hundred years in the past. (i’m still pissed off with the Romans’ how dare they have invaded’ and exploited our copper and tin resources) Cheers mate.
Hello, Mr. Glynn. I was about to start a gofundme page to raise an appropriate ransom. We can all breathe a sigh of relief …. Don’t pay the ransom, you’ve escaped.
Escaped with minor cuts and bruises only.
Can you describe the abductors?
dressed in black with a severely swamp like smell
At least we know that it wasn’t a moslem, as a swamp smells FAR better than a moslem.
Are you the idiot of your village? Great Britain traded with the world successfully until the day Ted Heath signed us up to the EU in 1973. As regards the 1812 war then look no further than the USA’s invasion and attempted takeover of British Canada which was repulsed and rewarded with the White house being burned to the ground.and all this unnecessary hostility when Britain was as usual defending the rest of Europe from the totalitarian despot of the day Napoleon Bonaparte. And before you start finger pointing i am a dual national and passionate patriot of both countries.
May stated “No deal is better than a bad deal” how ironic and surreal is that!
No deal is what the people voted for .
Despite May saying she had no plans to run to Brussels – guess where she’s off to tomorrow – to meet with Juncker who’s cancelled his trip to Spain. Watch these idiots lean on the WTO for exit terms. It’s almost as though sovereignty and the will of the rational people is treasonous.
Too bad I’m not May. I’d present the EU, Merkel, with a bill for all the social benefit money paid out and send the “migrants” and “refugees” as well as illegals to Merkel as a gift. Merkel wants more of them so let her have them to redistribute to France, Germany or whoever wants them. Trade with the EU will continue to dry up. Trump’s sanctions are effective with Iran, a favored trading partner of the EU
Regarding your bill to the EU for social payments felix, you might be surprised to know this, in 1990 as she was on the way out, M Thatcher authorised her foreign secretary Douglas Hurd to go to Germany and tell them we waived all our claims to compensation {reparations} for war damage and loss caused by Germany to us the UK.
At that time the bill was reckoned to be £3.6 trillion pounds. We let them off to help them with reunification.
We the public were betrayed then by our own side and no one knew anything outside the charmed circle.
Germany still owes Poland too.
WOW! I didn’t know that. That was allot of money even back then.
There was something else she did… when the handover happened with Hong Kong, part of the agreement was to allow HK to have a separate government. That didn’t happen. China props up their people there to run HK. We went over there shortly after the Handover happened. It was very strange. You noticed it right away in the airport – well armed Chinese all over. Other things changed too like less freedom of speech and more state owned companies.
We still have family over there. It doesn’t much matter to them since they are U.S. citizens and expats. There was something else with citizenship not granted to HK citizens that had been granted to other countries given independence. Overall though P.M. Thatcher was good for the U.K..
Maybe Poland should pursue Germany for their money. That could be a bargaining chip against Merkel shenanigans. She has stepped down from heading her party but Merkel is still chancellor till 2021. It wouldn’t shock me if she broke her promise and considered running again in 2021 for Chancellor.
Miss May is jockeying, pun intended, for Hillary’s job as the lead test pilot at the ACME broom factory; in other unrelated news, Hillary is lobbying the Olympics to include Quidditch at the next summer games
~CNN Breaking News
This is terrifying news. The thought that corbyn could be prime minister within a matter of weeks frightens me to death.
If he gets in, it really will be goodbye uk and hello to the caliphate.
All we can hope for is that someone assassinates him before that happens.
The myths and legends being spun by a hungry hysterical MSM and posturing political dwarfs on the issue of BREXIT are remarkable, but like the bull in the bull ring, the people are being invited to discuss and ponder the colour of the cape, the age of the matador and the meaning of all of it. Remember this huge stage play sells newspapers and creates fortunes for media personalities and others.
Wrapped in the folds of that cape however which keeps distracting a confused animal {the voting public} is a weapon of real menace which already exists to end all arguments. The sword of already passed law.
Parliament could not decide on this issue of BREXIT in 2016 and realised with UKIP gaining ground, a vote in a referendum could not be put off any longer, so by 554 votes to 53, parliament voted to let the British voting public decide the issue with only two options on the ballot – leave OR stay in the EU. That was an act of delegated authority like the staying “in” decision was at the referendum in 1975. David Cameron stated at the time {2016} there would be NO second referendum and government would abide by the result.
Later in 2017, all party leaders at the general election stated they would honour the vote to leave {which many of them regretted} but the public had made their views clear, it was also the biggest clearest mandate in British political history. 52% to 48% to exit. Parliament HAS to obey.
The article 50 {notice to leave the EU} legislation {under the Lisbon treaty} like the leaving date of 29 of March 2019 passed through both upper and lower houses of parliament and both new laws {because that was what they were, primary legislation} received the royal assent.
That means it’s now law that we leave deal or no deal on the 29 of March and under the UK constitution you cannot change primary legislation by either an amendment in parliament{as has been tried recently} or indicative votes as on Tuesday evening. That is an essential safeguard against usurpers of authority under our constitution, if the so called “remainers” wish to introduce a correction, they have to muster enough votes to ensure a majority to do that by scrapping those laws before making new ones.
Should that ever happen {which is unlikely} a constitutional crises of real significance would result, in effect, the political elite would have staged a coup against the electorate and the two biggest casualties would be the public’s faith in our “democracy” and the very concept that the electorate rule the legislator / executive through the ballot box.
For a mature country like Britain, this could not be a more serious matter, because with no elective lawful authority, anything could be justified to overthrow parliament to restore OUR rights to vote in OR out who we, the public, wish.
I think this was all political theater. I’ve seen this over here. Congress will pass something voters want. Then it heads to the Senate and by a few votes falls short of passing. There is an understanding in place that voters don’t matter. The global elites must prevail but give the voters some false hope while you go about the agenda they are rejecting.
CRUSHED: Theresa May’s Brexit Deal Defeated by Record-Breaking Margin in Parliament
By Jack Montgomery
1/15/19
The Prime Minister’s Brexit deal was crushed by a historic margin of 202 in favour to 432 against, paving the way for a vote of no-confidence in the Government by the Opposition, which Mrs May told MPs she would make time for on Wednesday, January 16th.
The first vote of the night was cast on an amendment to the Withdrawal Agreement by John Baron MP, which proposed inserting a right for Britain to leave the deal’s controversial “backstop” without needing to seek the EU’s permission — but this was also crushed, by 600 votes to 24.

Then magically P.M. May survives again!
Zombie May Shambles On: Vote of No-confidence in Govt Defeated, 325-306

There is no way a rational person would have any confidence in her.
This is just for political theater. She will move forward with the same agenda.
Both sides came together when it counted because they want to REMAIN and have her continue with the REMAIN agenda. What else could it be? Am I missing something?
Theresa May survived the non-confidence vote by a smidgen, 325-306. May is an inept leader, Jeremy Corbyn is the spawn of Satan; a rabid antisemite, an unapologetic Marxist and Islamist. Britain is nearing its death-throes. Sorry, Brits on this site; it is difficult to must any sense of positivity, at least for the moment.
There is an understanding on both sides of the aisle that May must prevail.
This is all political theater. Nothing will change. It was just some drama for the peasants.
Remember Merkel. She had problems too. She stepped down from being head of her political party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and inserted Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (AKK) who has been dubbed the mini-Merkel. Merkel vowed to not run again for Chanceller in 2021 so there was no need tor a no confidence vote. Merkel is training her successor, AKK now heading the CDU and grooming her to be the next Chancellor for the CDU so it is a smooth transition. Nothing has changed. Mini Merkel will probably get elected and carry on the same agenda.

Political gesturing to appease the masses is an art form that has worked historically. Today’s politicos have fine-tuned it, knowing that the majority of the masses are sheeple. Merkel, barf, is, as mentioned, a fine example of an unconscionable politician hell-bent to maintain her treasonous legacy via a political mini-Merkel. The Democrats are of the same ilk, not to discount RINOS.
We still have the same nonsense going on in D.C.. Ryan successfully thwarted Trump’s immigration reforms and wall. He should have stepped down immediately when he announced his retirement and didn’t. He did nothing to help Trump during the midterms.
At least he didn’t get illegals legalized but still tried for amnesty There are ways Ryan could have bribed RINOS to vote for Trump’s agenda – plumb spots on useless committees or bribed them with something to the large number of GOPers from retiring but didn’t. Even though we had a slim majority, Ryan and McConnell could have gotten it done. It’s disgusting. It’s an uphill war.
May is carrying the water for the globalists. I am not overly familiar with how the Parliamentary system works but the voters voted to LEAVE. I was not aware of a “deal” having to be made to LEAVE the EU when voters voted to BREXIT! I see this as foot dragging to REMAIN and punish the voters to daring to object. Again, maybe I just don’t understand how this works.
The “deal” had many aspects felix, two being the ability of the city of London to trade with continental markets free of interference from Brussels intended to gradually strangle the place, and another point is over the last 40 years, industrial integration has taken root with plants all across Europe sending components to the UK and vise versa so that things can be made, car plants are a good example because BMW make a Rolls Royce {under licence from BaE} and send the bits to my county west Sussex to be assembled, they also make the Mini.
