Women in Saudi Arabia divorced by their husbands will now be sent a text message to inform them of their new status.
Story continues below advertisementThe move is designed to stop the practice of men ending marriages without telling their wives.
The Saudi courts started to send such notifications Sunday in “a step aimed at protecting the rights of female clients, and enhancing digital transformation with more services,” the country’s Ministry of Justice said in a statement.
The message will include the divorce certificate number and the name of the relevant court where the women can pick up the documentation.
Women can also inquire about their marital status through a website and view details of any probate certificates….

I also know a non-Muslim Englishman who was a lawyer. He got a job in Muscat in Oman, the Arab gulf states. He met a typically jihad Arab Muslim woman, like very against Israel, pro-Palestinian, that sort of thing. He married her. They now live in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, because the art scene is better there than in Oman, and she’s into art and that sort of thing.

You couldn’t pay me to live in that kind of an oppressive environment or be part of that “culture”. Maybe he needed a woman that he could dominate. They are raised to be submissive. It sounds like he couldn’t make it with a normal woman. I don’t find Muslim men or woman attractive. It’s certainly not not for me!

But when the bride removed her veil and smiled for the camera, her new husband leapt to his feet in disgust.

‘You are not the one I had imagined.
I am sorry, but I divorce you.’
According to local daily Okaz, the bride immediately collapsed in a fit of tears as panicked wedding guests stepped in to try to resolve the dispute.
But their efforts were to no avail.
‘The groom said he had not been able to see his bride’s face before marriage,’ Okaz reported.
‘When he divorced her, the bride collapsed and the wedding turned into a night of tears.’

Ah well, here I laud the Catholic church, not that I am really religious, but in the Catholic faith divorce is prohibited, so a man cannot so easily do that to his wife.

The Catholic Church granted Roman Catholic, Ted Kennedy an annulment from his wife Joan even though they had 3 kids.
John Kerry’s, a roman Catholic, his first marriage, which lasted 18 years, produced 2 kids.
He met Teresa Heinz, and married UP. He’s worth about 3.2 billion. She has the Heinz empire.
How the kids are classified is beyond me….

Yes the Catholic Church grants annulments in lieu of a divorce in exchange for money.
I can understand an annulment when a mistake was made within a short span of time but not an annulment after YEARS of marriage and kids. Maybe you can explain that…

I can’t. The Catholic Church is not perfect. Yes, they can pay for annulments, so the system is not fool proof either.
Typical of Catholics like John Kerry to marry UP. A real career politician he was. Always backing the easy side, the side he thought was popular, and would give him least hassle and an easy life. I don’t believe in big governments for this reason. Too many people cashing in on the gravy train.

I guess what bothers me is how eager the Catholic Church is to condemn money and look at their past – indulgences. It was the poor that suffered the most under that. You can’t buy anyone’s way into heaven or bribe God. Annulments are another money maker. Now George Soros is funding them to implement his unChristian agenda.
Just how do you set up your own people to be slaughtered by Muslims? Tell others to have a “bridge” while you have huge walls and multiple levels of top notch armed security? It’s dishonest and hypocritical. Pope Frances is nothing more than a godless, greedy, cultural Marxist, politician. He totally disgusts me. He should be looking out for Christians and saving souls….

I agree with most of what you say. I am no fan of Pope Francis either. Very much a populist. Does not stand up for what is right, but says anything that is fashionable that will go down well with the masses of the day.
I’ll have to find out more about George Soros, I hear people talking a lot about him. I wonder how is he getting involved with the Catholic Church.
Indulgences are a bit controversial though. Many people now, and I think even going back to the days of Martin Luther in the 16th century accused the Catholic church of taking advantage of the naivity of the poor, in particular with the grant of indugences for money. I am sure you are right that annulments are granted for money these days. That is very corrupt. But changing the subject back to indulgences again, I think the poor people had a choice. It wasn’t like taxation where people have to pay.

In those days, people weren’t allowed to have a Bible, so they believed what they were told. So in some ways, the poor may have felt they had no choice. Check the dates on when the printing press happened and what happened to people like Tyndale who wanted people to have a Bible.
Anyway – about SOROS –
Here is an old article on it. It’s only gotten worse. There is a long history of it. I’ll leave that up to you to discover. Surely without doing any research, you can see he wants open borders, mass immigration, looks out more for Muslims, craps on Christians, does nothing about pedophiles and is very political. I could hardly believe how he inserted himself in our primary by having Mass at our southern border and his pious snippy rhetoric on “bridges” and the rest of it.
My link will shed some light on the history of SOROS and the Catholic Church. There are tons of stuff out there on this – all true. The Catholic Church is destroying itself. Resettling Muslim “refugees” is a real money maker too – tons of stuff on that too. In fact a Catholic Charity tried to sue the Trump administration for not bringing in enough refugees and forcing them to close down offices used for resettlement. In other words, they weren’t getting the MILLIONS they were used to under Obama. Tons of stuff on that too!
No one expects perfection from any mere mortal but as another imperfect mere mortal, I do expect better than this. The Catholic Church is proving, it is no ambassador for Christ in any form. This Pope, imo, supports the adversary of Christ.
How people handle money tells you allot about the person. Catholics are a large voting block. Sure most vote DEM but we really don’t need more voting that way that get their direction from him and didn’t vote DEM.

I would recommend use http://www,duckduckgo.com over google. Google puts the left sources first and you have to wade through it to find the truth. Do a search on some topic on both search engines and compare what pops up first and what sources are not shown by Google.

What’s new. My friend left the Catholic Church in Jersey, Channel Islands recently, because he was treasurer, and found money to be used for improper purposes. He proved his case, but the Bishop who oversees all the Catholic churches decided to turn a blind eye.

But in the past, the Catholic Church in England was very rich. King Henry the 8th and his gang like Thomas Cromwell coveted their wealth, and so destroyed their monasteries etc
Martin Luther, in my opinion, also made the excuse that the Catholic Church was deceiving the poor and ignorant to hand over their money. When in fact these people did it voluntarily. So throughout history there have been many detractors of the Catholic Church, whose accusations are not always just, and motivated by their own greed in some cases.
