LA Times: You Can Be A Jew-Hater and a Good Person

38

Hitler was good to his dog, so according to the LA Times, Democrats and leftwits, he, too, was a good person. Even less excusably, the Jewish Journal is taking much the same line. Antisemitism is on a sharp rise on the left, and is now being normed, even as that same left is trying to smear President Trump, the most pro-Israel President since the State of Israel was founded, as an antisemite.

This LA Times article is just the latest and most repulsive manifestation of a longtime tendency of the left. If leftists cared about antisemitism, this scourge would have been addressed years ago, and they would have stood with the Jewish people in Israel, not the jihadis.

If they cared about antisemitism, they would have taken action against the vicious Islamic antisemitism on college campuses, violent Jew-hating groups such as Students Justice in Palestine and the Muslim Student Association, and the rhetoric of imams and Islamic texts and teachings.

Story continues below advertisement

Instead, they are embracing antisemitism openly now.

“LA Times: You Can Be An Anti-Semite and a Good Person,” by Daniel Greenfield, FrontPage, January 6, 2019:

The Left treats anti-Semitism very differently than it does racism.

A column like this about racism would never appear in a mainstream media publication like the LA Times. No one would be allowed to make the argument that it’s possible to hate black people and still make meaningful contributions to society. But that’s the drumbeat of arguments that the media keeps allowing to be made in defense of the Women’s March, Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.

This LA Times piece is only the latest example. “Can you admire an anti-Semite and advance the cause of women? Maybe so. Life is full of contradictions,”

Personally, I find Farrakhan’s world view vile. Yet, I think it is possible to be repulsed by his hateful rhetoric about white people, especially Jews, and still appreciate some of the empowerment work that he has done in the black community, including leading the 1995 Million Man March to promote African American family unity.

Life is full of contradictions. The LA Times however is full of double standards.

The same paper obsessively investigating Trump, was happy enough to cover up an Obama tape likely establishing anti-Semitic ties….

“LA Times Columnist Dismisses Women’s March Leaders’ Anti-Semitism,” by Mike Brest, Daily Caller, January 6, 2019:

A columnist for the Los Angeles Times dismissed the accusations of anti-Semitism levied against the leaders of the Women’s March because she said they are “advancing the causes of women,” in a piece published on Friday.

The piece, titled, “Can you admire Louis Farrakhan and still advance the cause of women? Maybe so. Life is full of contradictions,” was written by Robin Abcarian.

The article focused on the fact that the Women’s March was started by women who were upset at the outcome of the 2016 election, and she shared her personal experiences from the march as well.

Abcarian then transitioned the piece to known anti-Semite and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Three of the Women’s March leaders — Linda Sarsour, Carmen Perez and Tamika Mallory — have ties to Farrakhan.

“Personally, I find Farrakhan’s world view vile,” she wrote. “Yet, I think it is possible to be repulsed by his hateful rhetoric about white people, especially Jews, and still appreciate some of the empowerment work that he has done in the black community, including leading the 1995 Million Man March to promote African American family unity.”

Another emphasis of the article was the hypocritical nature of a march dedicated to supporting minorities while also excluding one of the most targeted groups of people. However, after Abcarian pointed out that hypocrisy, she then turned it on Trump supporters asking how they could be willing to “overlook his constant and casual expressions of racism.”

According to a piece in Tablet Magazine, Perez and Mallory accosted a Jewish woman in attendance at the planners’ first meeting over an anti-Semitic claim that was pushed by Farrakhan despite being proven false. Tablet also reported that the Nation of Islam provided security and acted as drivers for the leaders….

“JUST AWFUL: LA Times Defends Poisonous Anti-Semite and Racist Louis Farrakhan – Compares Him to President Trump,” by Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit, January 5, 2019:

Here we go.
The vile left is now defending notorious anti-Semite and racist Louis Farrakhan.

This is really happening.

Los Angeles Times columnist Robin Abcarian praised Louis Farrakhan in her weekly column while attacking President Trump.
We now have liberal leaders openly defending this famed anti-Semite and notorious racist.

In June of 2018 Louis Farrakhan tweeted about the “satanic Jew.”
In October Louis Farrakhan compared Jews to termites.

In November Louis Farrahkan led chants of “Death to America!” in Tehran.

That was less than 2 months ago.

The LA Times is already excusing this and defending Farrakhan….

It’s a good thing that the left , women’s march stand with noi and their Jew hatred because then we know where we stand and know who the enemy is. That includes the jewcidal Jews always placating the antisemites for their own benefit. The best defense is a good offense , whether it’s in voting booth, wallet, or use of the 2nd amendment .

We got people controlling our life that shouldn’t.
Farakhan chants ‘Death to America’ in Muhammadist tyranny Iran,
Trump sells weapons to Saudi Arabia.
Boko Haram is protected by the new Muhammadist tyranny in Nigeria, a tyranny Trump just sold weapons.
Saudi Arabia controls Twitter & other information sources.
Trump patronizes censorship by the Muhammadism & says Pamela Geller would ‘insult everybody’.
What about me, the atheists tortured & killed in Saudi Arabia, the girls tortured with life-lasting clitodirectomy, the African slaves in Saudi Arabia*?
What about the people killed by Boko Haram?
We are not included in the ‘everybody’ Trump claims Pamela Geller is insulting. She reminds of us.
Trump wants his voters to believe that we are non-existent. We are existent & we deserve leadership, power, prosperity, truth & justice, globally.
*Africans are enslaved in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, North-Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Mauritania, Niger, Mali, Somalia, Nigeria in emulation of unjust Muhammad who started the global African slave-trade by saying his unproven deity had turned Africans black so Africans’ descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks.

I quote a person who criticised Trump for criticising Pamela Geller. He also suggests Rand Paul from Kentucky may have made a better President than Trump. He may be right. I was for Rand Paul also.

‘We have to make America great again’. ‘It’s time to get tough’. ‘We have to be strong again and so on’. Tell me Mr Trump, how are you planning to make America strong again when you don’t even have the guts to defend 1st amendment. I thought this guy is different but he is no better than the rest of American politician. Rand Paul seems to be a better candidate so far.

So Iranian students are still chanting “Death to America” or “Death to Israel” or at least not condemning American citizen Farrakhan when he encourages it.

I am not a mind-reader. Iran was a very jihadi state in the past. I sense it has made improvements in recent times. But to really convince me, Trump, Netanyahu, Pamela Geller that it has changed and renounced jihadiness, it should have voted in favour of Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel at a voting session at the United Nations. That would have made its position clear.

Muslims in Jerusalem are happy to earn money by selling their land or property to Israelis. Jerusalem is not the only place in the world where they can live happily. It is all jihadi pride with the Palestinians and other Muslims like even the “moderate” or should the word be “ignorant” Malaysian prime minister which bans Israeli athletes from competing at a sports event in Malaysia.

That`s why I remind skeptical of those Muslim leaders who fail to “put their money where there mouths are”. The incitement by Egyptians in their schools of Jew-Hatred since Camp David eludes me.

There is some hope for Egypt’s future too. Its leader Al-Sisi is now restoring old Jewish buildings. He is trying to discourage jihadiness in his people. This is courageous of him.

Non-muslims are treated as second class citizens in Iran and have been for some time. Furthermore, Iran enforces islamic blasphemy and heresy laws. Iran as it stands now is nothing more than another islamic thugogracy just like all the rest.

We’ll see. So far it has been behaving well in recent times, and has not sent out terrorists to kill Israelis or Americans and others. Give Iran a chance, I would say. When people have made efforts to change, and correct their bad behaviour of the past, I believe they should be given a chance.

As of June 18, 2018, ownership of the paper is controlled by Patrick Soon-Shiong, and the executive editor is Norman Pearlstine. The Los Angeles Times (sometimes abbreviated as LA Times or L.A. Times) is a daily newspaper which has been published in Los Angeles, California, since 1881. It has the fourth-largest circulation among United States newspapers, and is the largest U.S. newspaper not headquartered on the east coast.

In December 2008, the Tribune Company filed for bankruptcy protection. The bankruptcy was a result of declining advertising revenue and a debt load of $12.9 billion, much of it incurred when the paper was taken private by Zell.

On February 7, 2018, Tribune Publishing, formerly Tronc Inc. agreed to sell the Los Angeles Times along with other southern California properties (San Diego Union Tribune, Hoy) to billionaire biotech investor Patrick Soon-Shiong. This purchase by Soon-Shiong through his Nant Capital investment fund is for $500 million, as well as the assumption of $90 million in pension liabilities. The sale to Soon-Shiong closed on June 16, 2018

Chabad Hassidus, expresses in it`s Primary Philosophical and Mystical Text, the “Sefer Tanya”, a summary and condensation of the writings expressed by the earlier Kabbalists, including the Rashbi, Ramak, Ari Ha` Kodesh, and Baal Shem Tov. It explores the full spectrum of morality, posing questions such as whether we commit sins with our emotions, thoughts, or only by our actions. For instance, if one gives charity in a resentful way, does it count as being righteous ? If one hates one`s neighbor, yet behaves politely and with restraint, are we included among the righteous ? If we harbor anger and resentment yet restrain our impulses, can we include ourselves among the righteous ? The answers are remarkably clear and can even be derived from the Ten Commandments. We are forbidden from coveting our neighbor. That places envy in the category of sin, even without an accompanying action. Hatred is regarded as a cardinal sin. Even towards our enemies. Considering the above, anyone who participates in a movement associated with discrimination, bias, or punitive behavior toward a political end-point is a sinner. When one acts on one`s hatred, that action nurtures and emboldens those prohibited feelings. This conflicts with modern perspectives of political correctness which presume tolerance as being righteous. Politically I would apply this to the Islamic problem as follows: Any Muslim seeking refuge in the West or residence in Biblical Israel must publicly denounce Jihad. Muslims should be required to denounce their hatred and death-wishes towards Jews and those whom they call “infidel”. A country is morally bound to protect it`s citizens from those who wish it harm. One is obligated to preserve one`s life, and that of one`s family and community. Killing in self-defense is an obligatory derivative of this. But never raise a hand out of anger or bias.

What about the Seleucids or Romans didn’t they deserve some hate?

margolioth770

Ironically, had the Jews not been warring with each other; had they presented a united front (under the more-moderate Rabbis), the final outcome could have been avoided or at least significantly mitigated. I don`t believe that the Seleucids exist today. They were one of several breakaway groups who rejected the authority of the Oral Torah, which currently constitutes the Jewish Code of Law.

The Seleucids were the descendants of one of Alexander’s generals who tried to make the Temple Mount into a shrine to their Greek polytheism — by force, kind of like the muslums have done already.

A very interesting philosophical/religious perspective, and I agree with most of it. I would point out though that the practice of deceit is endemic within islam and the “public denial” you would have them make would be akin to a Trojan horse.

There is a discernible difference between the early texts and the later texts in the koran. The latter texts are the bigger problem, and emphasize more of the violence characteristic of islam throughout history. Only a serious revamping of their foundational writings could possibly put them in consideration of social acceptance and integration. Even there though, a serious roadblock to such self-examination is built into this cult, and would bring death to any, adherent or outsider, who tried. Until such, the only sane thing to do is to keep them separated from the rest of civilization.
Of course this is only a fanciful discussion. Islam is already here and is no sooner going to reform itself than anything else equally impossible is going to happen. I am also of the firm believe that our, mankind’s, circumstances have observably changed and dramatically so. The signs of the times are clearly pointing to Biblical prophecy unfolding at an unprecedented rate, signalling the very soon end of this age/dispensation and Christ’s imminent return. As I see it, the discussions of reforming this or that, or of returning to Christian roots in once Christian lands is no longer moot at a nation level. What we are seeing today is exactly the way prophecy said it would look like and be, with more still to come.

In spite of the ease which people could access information regarding the destructiveness islam has had on every culture it has touched, a segment of North America is doing back flips to ignore anything negative about it. I specify N. America because the closest example of this destruction is right across the pond in familiar territory, with gads of information available to anyone who would only look.
That they don’t is evidence of their arrogance based on their own bias. In fact they dismiss much of what they hear from the “right” on bias alone – “They always say things that they can never back up”. This mistrust, fostered by certain individuals and institutions representing the “left”, is causing the kind of divide that in itself leads to destruction, much less what allowing islam in the door would do.
Europe, the UK and Canada are done thanks to the policies instituted by their respective leaders and the silence of the lambs. Of course the core of this death spiral goes a little deeper and involves a decades long, running apostasy and the subsequent removal of God’s blessings on once Christian lands.
Evil will flourish just as the prophecies call for ; God’s word will be fulfilled. It was held back by God’s hand, and His hand was held there by the faithful. With few in most of the West still holding true to that faith, the time has past and His cup of indignation is now righteously filled.

America is the bomb, the grenade, and God’s hand on Trump is the pin in that grenade. His absence from that office, however it may come, will be the equivalent of that pin being pulled and the sequence of the events to follow will be nothing short of astonishing. All is in place for the next phase of Biblical prophecy to unfold once the linchpin is set in motion, and there is only one way to prepare for what’s to come.

Point well made. What I`m proposing is beyond the realm of possibility. What I`m really implying is that Israel already has multiple “no-go” areas and that their misguided generosity and remarkable failure to understand the Muslim psyche after thousands of years has placed them in an untenable position. Had they really wanted to be the eternal refuge for all Jews they would never have embarked on the Oslo Accords which is what really set the template to hand over most of the rural areas to the control of the Palestinians. Hence the daily road-by shootings and daily stabbings which prevent even the French Jews from immigrating in significant numbers. Israel`s left-wing policies (notwithstanding the massive disinformation campaign to the contrary) are cause to make French Jews, in the majority, to feel safer in France than in Israel. It makes sense that Oslo was brokered by Bill Clinton and Yasser Arafat, two of the most dishonest leaders in the modern era. In tandem they created a template that knowingly was untenable from the get-go. But then again, returning to the original subject. I have no hatred towards Muslims. It`s just a matter of knowing “the nature of the beast”.

In the left-frame you see a splinter Ultra-Orthodox group who live under a group-psychosis that the only justification for a State of Israel is the arrival of the Messiah. But I can promise you that when he arrives, they`ll stone him. In fact they exemplify the point we`re making: Theirs is the outcome of living with hatred. Beyond that: They Make hatred and intolerance the guiding principle and central doctrine of their belief system. In the right-frame one sees a motley, pitiful group of Liberal Jews and half-Jews, who lack any personal sense of Jewish identity or moral code whatsoever. And the result of their utter existential confusion poses a primary threat to the survival of the rest of us: Not only in Israel, but America: What do they represent politically ? A One-World-Order without rules, barriers or morals: A false utopia whereby they hand the civilized world into the hands of invading barbarians, who would flood into civilized nation-states lured by the incentive of Welfare. But their real intention is the creation a massive surf-state under their rule (the so-called “elites”), with chaos and misery for the rest of us.

Situational ethics: One of the greatest blights on humanity. That the word ‘good’ could be so radically-redefined is symptomatic of the pervasive depravity of our age.

Those on the Left have become altogether predicable in this regard as they bring our nation and the entirety of Western civilization down with them.

The Scriptures, specifically, addressed their ultimate fate:

“Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5: 20
