While the coverage of President George H.W. Bush’s passing has been notable in its respectful tone, many in the media are exploiting the solemn occasion to trash the current commander in chief.
“Donald Trump is 180 from who George H.W. Bush is,” CNN’s Jamie Gangel said in a comment that typified this coverage.
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski used Bush’s passing to go on an anti-Trump rampage, calling him “deviant” and suggesting the country should fear for our own survival.
“What becomes undeniably obvious with every bio run about Bush 41 is that stark contrast between these two men. Bush served in the military, treated people with respect and dignity, and put country ahead of party and self time and time again over his half century in public service — half century,” Brezinski said. “Over the last two years, deviancy has continued being defined down by this current president, his cronies, his supporters, who love telling reporters that they don’t care how deviant his behavior becomes.”
“As is always the case, the presidency does not shape character, it reveals it in a raw fashion,” she carried on. “And that is why we celebrate George H.W. Bush’s legacy and fear the next two years of Mr. Trump’s wild White House ride. As we continue to watch that, Andrea, it’s conduct in office that we look at today with President Trump and we look at over the past few days, even, which leaves our jaws dropping.”
After contrasting Trump’s antipathy toward the mainstream media with Bush’s positive relationship with journalists, The Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson said: “it just gives you a sense of the big character of the man and the contrast with the small character we see today.”
CNN’s Jake Tapper, appearing on Seth Meyer’s late night show, said the current president is improving Americans’ perspective of George H.W. Bush: “There are a lot of things about George H. W. Bush that maybe people now appreciate that they didn’t appreciate at the time.”
Another former CNN correspondent, Frank Sesno, “George Bush believed in the institutions of government, which I think, too, is another reason why this moment to remember and to compare and contrast is so important, because our institutions are so under siege by the government itself.
CNN’s former anchor, Bernard Shaw, said: “The world looked at George Bush because he was a leader respected. He had proven himself. This president has yet to do that.”

So….Communists whom are wealthy, who cna’t stand trump becasue he is an outsider all of sudden love Bushy 1 becasue he played by their rules back in the day. He also mentioned New World Order…I remember that and had a very creepy feeling. The media go the vapors and loved it. I Bernie Shawhank and Subsidized Donaldson in that clip. Oh sammy took gov money to run his farm. hundreds of thousand of dollars. Miiiika…now that is creepy broadass for sure.

In a sense, they’re correct about HW being 180 degrees from Trump – but not in the way they mean or intend. Who could forget, for example, during the Gulf War, the Bush administration ordering Israel to sit on her hands as Saddam Hussein was raining down Scud missiles into Tel Aviv? Or his Secretary of State, James Baker, infamously saying during 41’s unsuccessful re-election run, “F*** the Jews, they didn’t vote for us anyway.” And also, didn’t large-scale Muslim immigration begin under ‘Aitch-Dubyah’ or is it my imagination? In other words, Bush 41, with his ties to Arab oil interests, wasn’t exactly a good friend to Israel or the Jews, from my recollection.

The left likes Bush 41 because he broke a pledge to the GOP and RAISED TAXES.

When he did that, the LEFT knew he was a one term President.
When the ENTIRE BUSH family with the exception of the Bush that is still hoping to make a living in politics = the Texas Land Commissioner, George P. Bush, that was it for me. The CLINTONS ARE THE MOST CORRUPT, VILE PEOPLE we have ever had in politics. THAT showed me the true character of the Bush family. Even the twins actively campaigned for Hillary.
I don’t care what Bush 41 did when he was younger. His wife Barbara, trashed Trump for him. The Bush family is just liberal trash and that is why the LEFT likes them as well as the Obama’s and the Clinton’s. Who ever heard of a prominent former Presidential family endorsing the OPPOSING PARTY and one like the Clinton’s? I believe President Trump has shown extraordinary grace in being so kind to these VILE, CORRUPT PEOPLE that have betrayed us for years. Sentimental emotions and feel good talk don’t rule me. I refuse to watch these groveling, maudlin, sentimental tributes to this man that let our country DOWN. People don’t realize how he UNDID Reagan’s legacy. They haven’t been educated. Bush 41 was the appeasement to the establishment and Bush 41 served the establishment well.

For the life of me, I can not imagine my Grandmother watching Sex and the City as Barbara Bush did and enjoying it. I can’t imagine my Grandfather being involved in a same sex marriage. Little did people know it was who GWB wanted the role to be the first President to officiate a same sex marriage but had a schedule conflict so dad, Bush 41 happily did it. No, the Bush family does not represent my values. I don’t want homosexuals murdered but I can not embrace it or go out of my way and advocate for it. The Bush family pushed our country to the LEFT while in office. That’s why they get along so well with the Clinton’s and the Obama’s.
His father, Prescott Sheldon Bush was a banker and a politician. He was very instrumental in pushing Planned Parenthood. He was also active in censuring Republican Senator Joseph McCarthy. McCarthy was completely vindicated. Today we see the evidence, deep rooted in pushing Communism. He continued to speak against communism and socialism until his death. He was right! He was more or less vilified into oblivion. No, that’s not a family I can think highly of. Each Bush in their own way did our country a disservice and helped bring us down.

I will not by my commentary put down H.W, nor will I compare H.W.’s presidency with Trump’s. I will express my frustration with the media, as I believe that is what Pamela’s article is all about. The unmitigated hate continuingly being produced by the media and the Democratic Party is part and parcel of what I believe is contributing dramatically to the DIVSIVNESS that is besetting our great country, and it sickens me that the media continues on their quest to unseat Trump. Trump’s accomplishments are ignored, and all you hear from the media is unsubstantiated claims by the media that attack his character and falsely accuse him of being a “racist.” I am disgusted with what the media is contributing to this very awful situation. I see no evidence that supports these malicious characterization of the man. I ask my democratic friends and all I hear from them is what he said after the Charllote incident. If that is all they have, I point out that they are being irrational in refusing to acknowledge his accomplishments as one of the few presidents to stand up to a world that has taken advantage of this country over the last 50 years or so. To refuse to recognize that his motivation is what might be best for this country, like concluding that our borders need to be fined tuned to accept only those people who comply with the legal process that is in place, and to refuse to accept those people into this country who might cause damage, from my perspective, is the thinking of a reasonable man. Why people within the Democratic Party or the media do not understand or accept that motivation is mind boggling. I know that getting votes is the reason the party and the media oppose Trump, because he is frustrating them in that regard, but I cannot understand why so many people within our electorate do not also recognize the falsehoods being promulgated by both the party and the media.

Given that about the same amount as the electorate as you mention continually fall for Nigerian financial ponzi schemes, GoFundMe frauds such as the “homeless” person, and other Email scams, plus the amount of total ignorance of our history among younger and younger generations, I can understand why they’d fall for these Big Lies that would’ve made Goebbels proud.
As for Charlottesville, I am aware of what provoked what followed afterwards – and it all came from the Left. Context is NEVER mentioned in these cases.

It gets tiring to hear the statements from the main stream news media that are so opposed to President Donald Trump. The main stream news media is continuing to do this even at the time of George H. W. Bush’s funeral. In my 67 years of life President Donald Trump has received more opposition and disrespect than any other president in my life time from the main stream news media, people in government and people in the entertainment industry. Some thing is very wrong with this country, when there is so much disrespect and opposition to a president that is doing a lot of good for this country.

There was also the over-the-top praise for Boosh 41. I couldn’t stand it on the radio and turned it off at his eulogy, You would think Boosh was a Saint. Saint Boosh.
It just oozed of not of praise but of this weird infatuation, almost. But then i went online and read all the durty stuff he did. And what the hell was he doing at the JFK assassination so soon? Heck, the shooting wasn’t even finished and he shows up?
He also tried to sound like a Statesmen to convince you of “diversity” and the New World Odor but nobody fell for it. I for one held my nose.

As I viewed the past presidents and such sitting there together, I was reminded of the immoral, dishonest, unethical, and corrupt behavior of those sitting with the Trumps. The Trumps were the only honest people sitting in that row.
We are doomed (probably already are doomed) if this country continues to laud and praise leaders like this.
And you add Alan Simpson, who absolutely betrayed the Conservative cause, to the mix!
So much of this was orchestrated to undermine Trump, maybe all of it. Thank GOD for Trump!

He was the ultimate Manchurian candidate, a total tool of the Iranian mullahs who, I’m sure, via those “nationals” / computer hackers, penetrated our election systems in 2012 (and possibly 2008 as well) to rig the outcomes Obama’s way. And he paid them off – and back – in spades. Plus his total destruction of the moral and social fabric, his emboldening of jihadists, perverts, pedophiles, and racial and ethnocentric special-interest groups. Ironically, the self-righteous Leftist enemedia spends the uttermost of its broadcast time disparaging Trump; using the time of celebrating and mourning the life and passing of President George H. is indicative of the mass media’s obsession to denigrate the incumbent President, Trump.
It, therefore, is not shocking that this gaggle of Progressive-Fascist sermonizers are disseminators of antisemitism, hatred of diverse politics, bigotry, anti-Constitutional Republic, pro-Democrat, pro-Islamic and pro-Marxist are utterly crass and crude.
Most annoying, the most significant bug in the media’s favorite orifice is, Trump shattered the mold of the status quo on both sides of the political aisle. Is President Trump flawless? Indeed, he is not; however, he is the sole leader of the once upon a time Western Democracies with the courage and tenaciousness to defend this Republic from the ceaseless onslaught and ambitions of those endeavoring America’s downfall. It is amazing how much the Left hates Trump. I’m not sure who they hate more, God or Trump. But it seems to me that evil, hating what is of God and anything that is good, will do anything to undermine that which is of God and that which is good. So we should feel assured that Trump must be a force for good based on how much opposition he is getting from those who hate God just like when they do what they can to attack Christians purely for expressions of their faith.
