Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, newly elected to the House of Representatives, doesn’t like the way the Trump Administration has been dealing with the caravan of thousands of Central Americans who have marched through Mexico all the way to the border with the United States, where a wall, and border police, and American soldiers, are there to prevent them from simply pushing their way into the U.S., and to make sure that they present themselves at designated points of entry, to have their cases considered.
She compared the treatment of those would-be immigrants to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany. It’s an astonishing comparison, even a sickening one, but unsurprising. For Ocasio-Cortez has a Jewish problem. It includes her lack of comprehension of the extent of Jewish suffering from the Nazi murders, and her lack of sympathy for the Israelis who are intent only, as they have been ever since their state was declared on May 14, 1948, on defending their tiny state, against Muslim Arabs who have been trying — as many are trying still — to destroy the Jewish state and the Jews who live in it.
In mid-July, Ocasio-Cortez gave an interview to Margaret Hoover in which she denounced “the occupation of Palestine” by the Israelis. Asked to explain what she meant, she was unable to, and instead made some confusing remarks about people being killed in other places — Ferguson, the South Bronx, Puerto Rico — which somehow connected in her mind to Israeli soldiers killing “Palestinians.” She admitted to not really knowing much about the Arab-Israel conflict. I’ll say.

I doubt that Ocasio-Cortez knows about any of the following, when a thorough understanding of all of these is the minimum necessary to understand the Arab war on Israel:
1. The contents of the Balfour Declaration.
2. The purpose of the League of Nations’ Mandate for Palestine, and in particular, its provisions as to facilitating Jewish immigration and close Jewish settlement on the land.
3. The existence of the other Mandates, meant to create Arab states, in Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.
4. Why the British closed all of Mandatory Palestine east of the Jordan River to Jewish immigration, and instead gave that land — 78% of the territory originally to have been part of of the Mandate — to the Emirate of Transjordan.
5. Why the British, in accordance with the White Paper of 1939, limited Jewish immigration to Mandatory Palestine to 15,000 a year for five years, after which any such migration would be subject to an Arab veto.
6. Why the British prevented Jews fleeing Europe from going to Mandatory Palestine.
7. Why five Arab states attacked the new State of Israel on May 15, 1948, with the Secretary-General of the Arab League promising “a momentous massacre” not seen since the days of the Mongols.
8. Why Egyptian fedayeen carried out thousands of separate attacks on Jews in the Negev between 1949 and the Suez Campaign of 1956.
9. Why Nasser demanded in May 1967 the removal of UN peacekeeping troops from the Sinai, and moved hundreds of thousands of troops up into the Sinai to threaten Israel.
10. Why Israel immediately offered, after the Six-Day War, to return all of the territory it had won by force of arms, in exchange for peace, but all the Arab states refused.
11. Why, after the Six-Day War, the Arabs invented the “Palestinian people” — a “people” who had never before been mentioned.
12. What UN Resolution 242 says about Israel’s right to territorial adjustments in order to have “secure” and “recognized” borders.
12. Why Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack on Israel on Yom Kippur 1973.
13. What the Hamas Charter states about the future of Israel.
14. What the Qur’an, and Hadith, say about Jews.
15. Why the war on Israel is a classic Jihad.
16. Why there can never be a permanent peace between Israel and Muslims, but only a “truce” treaty on the model of Muhammad’s agreement with the Meccans at Al-Hudabiyyh in 628 A.D.
In other words, Ocasio-Cortez needs to learn a lot before she makes pronouncements about “occupied” territories, and the soi-disant “Palestinian people,” and dares to compare Israeli soldiers defending their country against rioters armed with Molotov cocktails, other explosives, and incendiary kites, trying to breach the security fence. The Israeli soldiers first warn protesters in Arabic, using loudspeakers, not to approach the security fence, and only when that fails do they use tear gas, and rubber bullets, and then, most reluctantly, fire at those who get to the fence, aiming below the knee, and finally, in the cases of greatest danger, when protesters have breached the fence and are hurling Molotov cocktails and other explosives, they use live fire aiming above the knees. Ocasio-Cortez seems to think the Israeli soldiers simply show up, and without any provocation start shooting to kill these “unarmed” protesters.
Margaret Hoover does not let up:
“You, in the campaign, made one tweet or one statement that referred to a killing by Israeli soldiers of civilians in Gaza and called it a massacre which became a little controversial. But I haven’t seen anywhere, what is your position on Israel?”
Ocasio-Cortez: “Well I believe absolutely in Israel’s right to exist. I am a proponent of the two-state solution. And for me this is not a referendum of the state of Israel. I think that for me the lens through which I saw this incident, as an activist, as an organizer. Sixty people were killed in Ferguson, Missouri. Sixty people were killed in the South Bronx, unarmed. Sixty people were killed in Puerto Rico. I just look at at that incident, just as an incident. To me that would be completely unacceptable if that had happened on our shores. But-”
The mental confusion is palpable. There were no “sixty people” who “were killed in Ferguson, Missouri.” There was one man, Michael Brown, Jr., who was shot by policeman Darren Wilson. The grand jury acquitted Wilson. Where does Ocasio-Cortez pull this figure of “sixty people”? She made it up so she could say “60 in Ferguson, 60 in the South Bronx, 60 in Puerto Rico.” What is she talking about? In the South Bronx, is she claiming that sixty unarmed and innocent people were killed by the police? When? Doesn’t she know that almost all of those who are murdered in the South Bronx are killed by the very people whom the police try to apprehend? And where does this “60 killed in Puerto Rico” come from? Is she suggesting that the Puerto Rican police killed 60 innocent people? I can find nothing on the Internet about this. I think she’s confusing the death toll from Hurricane Maria, which was not 60 but closer to 3,000, with some kind of non-existent massacre by the police. She’s making up her figures. She’s confused and confusing. She’s getting things wildly wrong. But in the current climate, it doesn’t matter. She’s young and mediagenic, the Future Hope of the Democrats. Her ignorance, her arrogance (at not thinking she needs to learn about things before she presumes to speak about them), her sheer imbecility, are apparently to be forgiven.
The interview continued, with Margaret Hoover [of PBS’ Firiing Line] pointing out the very different contexts of protests in America versus in the Middle East.
Hoover: “Of course the dynamic there with the geopolitics, the war in the Middle East is very different than people expressing their First Amendment right to protest.”
Ocasio-Cortez: “Of course. Well, [pause] yes. But I also think that what people are starting to see, at least in the occupation of Palestine, is just an increasing crisis of humanitarian conditions, and that to me is where I tend to come from on this issue.”
When asked to clarify what she meant by “occupation of Palestine,” Ocasio-Cortez struggled to give a clear response.
Hoover: “You used the term ‘the occupation of Palestine.’ What did you mean by that?”
Ocasio-Cortez: “Oh, um. [pause] I think what I meant is like the settlements that are increasing in some of these areas in places where um, where Palestinians are facing difficulty in access to their housing and homes.”
Hoover pressed back on Ocasio-Cortez’s explanation. After which, Ocasio-Cortez retreated from her earlier statements and claimed not to be an expert.
Hoover: “Do you think you can expand on that?”
Ocasio-Cortez: “Yeah, I think I’d also just say that I am not the expert in geopolitics on this issue. You know for me, I’m a firm believer in finding a two-state solution for this issue.”
Given her palpable lack of sympathy for the Jews of Israel, and apparent lack of interest in studying the history of Israel and the wars that have been thrust upon it, you may not be surprised that she minimizes Jewish suffering from the Nazis. How does she do this? By making facile comparisons that suggest what the Nazis did to the Jews is not unique, but like many other cases of suffering. Her comparison of the people in the caravan fleeing Central America — and being prevented only from entering the U.S. illegally — to Jews fleeing Nazis is grotesque.
And that comparison will be discussed in the second article.

Just what the Democrats want in the House and Senate. Someone who can be easily manipulated and will fall in line with their agenda. Much as I dislike Pelosi, since the Democrats have control of the House, she knows how to keep her party in line. On the other hand, a leader who could not keep the Democrats in hand would e a sure fire winner for the GOP to regain control of the House in 2020.

An excellent commentary, it indeed confirms that which we know regarding the anti-Semite, anti-Israel Ocasio-Cortez’s Jewish problem but her ignorance is most notable. Hoover, also, did the old double-shuffle, a soft shoe approach; in my opinion, it is a good thing Ocasio-Cortez is a Jew-Hating Democrat, aligned with the Democratic Party’s anti-Israel/anti-Semitic platform and agenda. The photo accompanying the article, like all the photos I have seen, reveals this woman may suffer from various psychopathies.
My gut instinct is, the Democrats will rue the day, Ocasio-Cortez’s winning her House of Representative seat. The woman is not stable, a cauldron of toxic waste, hatred for American values, the Constitution and lastly, her wilful and boundless hatred of Jews and Israel.

What disturbs me about this article, is that this new women representative is an intelligent and well educated person, who went threw all the tough growing up processes that many of us have likewise experienced, and is an American of Puerto-Rican descent, yet she has no reasonable understanding of what reality consists of. he is a socialist, when history has proven that socialism does not work. Obviously, her understanding of the conflict between Israel and the Arab is warped and her election to her office was likely influenced by an electorate that saw her ancestry as being enough to vote for her. To me she represents a youth that has totally lost sight of reality and she has no idea how her thinking will ultimately have negative consequences on this country. The reality I tat Israel is not an occupier. The reality is that Israel is forced to defend itself from the Arab mentality that intends to do to them what Nazi Germany did to them and that they, like any other group of people have every right to protect themselves from an enemy that is dedicated to their destruction. If we continue to elect people like her, this country will ultimately fail. I am a believer in diversity, but first and formost, I expect that our leaders will adopt policies based on reality, not foolish thinking, all of which must be directed at making Amerca fruitful and prosperous to the benfit of all or citizens. That is the reality as I see it, and she does not fit that reality.

Most Jews were unable to flee the Nazis because of borders (passports & visas). The Globalists in London and Switzerland ordered the Portuguese government who ordered the Portuguese consulates not to help the Jews (including Russians and the stateless) with visas but most consuls refused to obey these orders even though they faced the risk of being fired and imprisoned. But in any case, the most important thing to remember is that border controls are not only there to keep people out but to block people from fleeing a massacre.
