This is the problem with prominent Democrat Jews and the Jewish leadership in the United States: the unwillingness to attack the Democrat Party to the extent that they should for its rabid anti-Semitism. Alan Dershowitz is being disingenuous when he says that support for Israel is still bipartisan among “mainstream” Democrats. Dershowitz knows that is statement is untrue, because Dershowitz is not a stupid man.
The Democrat Party’s record as a whole on Israel has been abominable since Israel-hater Barack Obama was elected President. Mainstream Democrats overwhelmingly voted for the genocidal Iran Nuclear Deal. Many mainstream Democrats supported Obama when he abstained from UN Resolution 2334, which called Israel’s presence in Jerusalem (including the Jewish quarter) illegal. Mainstream Democrats did not want to support the Taylor Force Act. Mainstream Democrats (the Congressional Black Caucus) attacked Israel for wanting to deport illegal aliens from Africa. Mainstream Democrats supported Israel-hater Keith Ellison being appointed Deputy Chair of the Democrat Party, and mainstream Democrats would rather not support anti-BDS legislation. Mainstream Democrats also associate with Israel-haters and anti-Semites such as Louis Farrakhan, Linda Sarsour and Jeremiah Wright.
Dershowitz was incredulous when he said that the Democrat Party is unwilling to attack anti-Semitism from within their voting base. Well, of course they’re not, Alan! That is because Jewish voters including you continue to vote for Democrats en masse, and continue to give them obscene amounts of money. Why would Democrats not tolerate anti-Semitism when they can still count on Jewish votes and Jewish money, while appeasing their growing radical-left voting base?

Dershowitz is likely reluctant to admit that the skyrocketing anti-Israel sentiment from within the Democrat Party is a direct result (at least in part) of high levels of Muslim immigration, which occurred under President Obama. Dershowitz knows that such a truthful statement will get him ostracized from the Democrat Party and the Jewish elites. Such an admission would make Dershowitz sound Islamophobic, and like a Trump supporter. Dershowitz has already complained about being ostracized by the Martha’s Vineyard elites for speaking out against the idiotic Mueller probe against Trump. However, if Dershowitz has Islamophobia attached to his name, he knows that he will become persona non grata among the elites outside of Martha’s Vineyard as well.

I am not as “smart” as Alan Dershowitz, but I and many others who were not legal geniuses knew Obama was an anti-Semitic, leftist bum before he was elected president. Why didn’t Dershowitz? Because he hadn’t seen the Farrakhan photo?

Several years ago a Jewish advisor to president Carter issued a similar statement, to the effect that had he known that Carter’s views were anti-Semitic, he would not have stayed on in that administration.
Well, many ordinary Jews knew perfectly well that Carter was a fake, phony, anti-Semitic fraud – why didn’t he?
The answer, of course, is unmistakable: they believed what they wanted to believe.
I think Dershowitz is, on balance, a good man – but he is very much alert to the imperatives of self-interest.
This is an awareness, unfortunately, of which there is no shortage amongst the Jewish “elites.”

The only difference is that Jews today are closer in time to the coming time of Jacob’s trouble in Jeremiah 30 – a period of coming judgment that will be far worse on the descendants of Jacob than the Holocaust..
They were far from the God of Israel in 1938; they are even farther now. A great awakening awaits Dershowitz. Intellectual skill never trumps Godly wisdom.

You can easily see and it is happening now as liberal Jews back the IRAN DEAL. I would bet this is the ONLY reason DEMS are picking on Saudi Arabia and this stupid Muslim who was murdered in the Saudi Embassy. He was a Saudi citizen. The murder happened in a Saudi embassy which is the same as being in Saudi Arabia. Their barbaric ways prevail. They want IRAN to continue with making nuclear weapons! None of the charges against Israa al-Ghomgham are for violent acts, according to Human Rights Watch Saudi Arabia researcher Hiba Zayadin. Where was the world wide OUTRAGE on this? No one cared! I’d bet a beheading was painful too and she suffered. Are women worth less when it is convenient?
