President Donald Trump squared off with CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta during a contentious post-mid term elections press conference Wednesday in the East Room. Acosta argued with Trump over the migrant caravan invasion then fought off a White House staffer trying to take back the White House microphone when Trump told him he was done taking Acosta’s questions.

The American press like the British press believe because of their continual virtue signalling for left wing causes they are the “alternative government”. As such, they bridle at a leader who refuses to conform to their world view.

The indiscipline I’ve noticed before at these press conferences is a notable feature of them, all the POTUS has to do is point out that while he makes his statement, a respectful silence will ensue, afterwards those wishing to ask a question will raise their hand. No shouting out or heckling will be allowed, why, because the PEOPLE wish to hear the question as well as the answer.

You are not alone, poetcomic; I, as do many others, hear the same shat every day from those mentioned. The never-ending drivel, hatred or condemnation of those not of their Leftist-Progressive/oppressive worldview. The incessant parroting of the latest lies spewed from the gobs of the CNN and its MSM companion chimps.

Hi poetcomic1,
Self centered single minded bunch you know.
Have these turkeys ever thought about what happens to the emigrant countries?

If the migrants are good coming into the USA why is it good for the emigrant countries to loose these valuable people? Truth is that it is not good for the emigrant country.

So is the left / 1st world preying on these 2nd and 3rd world countries? Pinching their skilled, capable, youthful people?

Will these emigrant countries ever drag themselves up with this mill stone around their necks?

Immigration is a name for “can’t have a good economy without migration”.

Search “jyoti singh lifedeathprizes” and “daughter of India”. She died in a hospital in Singapore. Why was that better than a hospital in India? The change agents are busy making money in the 1st world.

Beware though – the price the left is prepared to pay.

I have said this many times advanced countries poaching trained people from less advanced countries is highly immoral and dysfunctional. Those people were in the main trained at the countries expense not at the expense of the EU and US economies (except in so far as the aid sent there was used for their education)
How will the less advanced countries grow if their talent is continually creamed off? The same thing happens in EU BTW when people trained in Eastern European countries move to the affluent Western ones to get better pay.

For the effect of loss of skilled – Why was an Indian woman sent to a Singapore hospital for the best chance of survival?

Hispanic construction workers in So.Cal., mostly illegal, have taken ALL the jobs from both whites and blacks and driven down wages. And you know what? They are hard working, honest and if you have ever worked beside them, very likeable. They are EXACTLY the young men Mexico and Central America DESPERATELY need. We DO need many of them and if we had sensible immigration policies it would work to balance immigrant workers with American workers for mutual benefit but open borders is a disaster for both countries.

The first world doesn’t need any of them. The Germans imported Turks to work on their roads. Its a money saving / bottom line profit issue. Let the employment market sort itself out. Stop the manipulation of the employment market by migration.

The “Democrat” stealth communist insurgents are no longer stealth. This is not the Democrat Party of JFK. They are emboldened to take down Trump in a Bolshevik style revolution—by any means necessary…including election fraud, smears and intimidation.
My sister, sad to say, is of this ilk…has been brainwashed by the Enemedia, The filth that she spews forth in her emails about Republicans, Conservatives, Trump, NRA, etc. makes me think she is possessed by the devil. Can I recommend you read just the first 2 pages Chapter 1 Part 3 of “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. The reference is from ISBN:0-671-72365-0. Part titled “How to win people to your way of thinking” and the Chapter 1 “You can’t win an argument”.
Essentially – you have to let them discover it.

Acosta’s outrageous manhandling of that young female WH aide, who was only doing her job, is the tip of the domestic violence iceberg. Revoking his press credentials was well-deserved and long overdue.

Any problem that exists between a man and a woman, ANY, can be resolved except one, violence. It only deteriorates until someone is dead. Look at OJ Simpson.

RINO spokesman Ari Fleischer says on FOX Thursday morning it was “incidental contact” when Acosta pushed the arm of the White House intern away from him.
“Incidental contact” is accidental or inadvertent contact.
Obviously Acosta deliberately and aggressively pushed the young lady’s arm away to stop her doing her job — to control the microphone and who is authorized to speak through it.
Ari Fleischer is another useless RINO equivocator from a worthless RINO administration who habitually capitulates by calling everything a draw, even in the face of clear evidence to the contrary, and submitting, acceding and cowering to the demands of the mob.
Ari Fleischer owes the President, the intern and the American people an apology, and then he should retire from TV commentary and go write pointless books no one will read.

No, in America we do not have a King; we have a President. HE is OUR servant; we are NOT his “subjects.” HE is not the “sovereign;” WE THE PEOPLE are. No President is above the law, and no President is exempt from tough questioning, and from answering to the people on election day OR by impeachment, if it comes to that. No President before Trump has even come CLOSE to what he has done to destroy the free press, and thereby to destroy democracy in this country. When we become an oligarchy run by a handful of billionaires — like his buddy Putin’s Russia — then we can expect to see free speech being shut down in so brutal a fashion. Oh, and did I mention Jamal Khashoggi? Trump hardly said a peep about that journalist’s butchered body, since MBM is his good buddy too.

You’re welcome. The strong First Amendment right to criticize the government, and its President, goes all the way back to our first President, George Washington, who was a bit of a prig, and easily offended. That did not stop his critics. Here’s a bit of history on the press opposition to Washington, from the website maintained by Mount Vernon, his plantation home, which is now a national historic park:

I have a message for the FAKE NEWS and the networks CBS, NBC, ABC and PBS/NPR. I am an
INDEPENDENT voter and I am very, very disappointed at the incivility and dishonesty by all media,
except for some news shows on Fox News. I can’t believe I am saying that, however they are the
most honest, weather it is bad or god for the current administration and President Trump.
The rudeness and incivility by the CNN reporter yesterday, 11/7/18, at the Presidential press
conference where President Trump answered mostly rude, gossipy questions for 1-1/2 hr, with absolutely
no substance of what his (President Trump’s) plans are for the next two years. That’s what I/we want to know.
Instead we had to hear/witness the most rude and incivill behavior by the CNN reporter. Don’t know
his name but he made me feel ashamed on his behalf at the incredible disrespect for the Office
of the President, our President and the American people. When he insults the President he insults us
the hardworking, taxpaying American people. Something must be done about this.
Can’t help thinking about Mr Khashoggi that was murdered by Saudi Arabia. How fortunate are
we to not live in a country like that, where they murder an outspoken but NOT rude “journalist”.
By the way, the first amendment doesn’t mean you can be rude and incivill.

Trump behaved like a boor and a bully, which was nojt the least bit surprising. And I’m also appalled that Ms. Geller, who purports to be in favor of a FREE PRESS and FREE SPEECH, is joining in this pile-on, instead of DEFENDING the right of the press to gather information and to publish it. Shonde.

Trolling? Hardly. Soneone who porports to support freedom of speech, freedom of the press, needs to support it for EVERYBODY. Otherwise, NOBODY really has freedom — just like in totalitiarian societies, you can only speak or publish if you agree with the all-powerful leader. In America, the right to dissent is cherished, and the institution of a free press is one of the foundations of our democracy — essential to building an informed electorate. The opposition press is not the “enemy of the people” — they are the protectors of the people’s right to know. The ones who would try to suppress that flow of information are much better described as “the enemy of the people.” Those are the very freedoms our veterans fought for and some died for.

So…You support those kind of actions? Actions speak louder than words. Then I guess it would be alright if someone from FOX disrespected Obama the same way or any other elected official? Would you want to be disrespected like that? Anyone that behaves like Acosta did, should be kicked to the curb. Left or right. Acosta was making himself the story. Guess what it backfired. Your “free press” argument is weak. Go back and critically rethink it again. Try to keep your emotions at bay.

Michael Jacobs

What kind of actions? Assuming we are talking about the same event, in the video clip in Ms. Geller’s article, we must have seen it from a very different perspective. Acosta was trying to ask the President a legitimate question and was rudely shunted aside because it was a question Trump did not want to answer. But Acosta did not meekly quit in response to Trump’s bullying; he persisted. He stood his ground. He had a right to ask those questions. The right say they believe in “stand your ground,” right? So, assuming you really do — as I do, too — we have a VERY different view of who is the aggressor, and who is merely standing his ground against an attempt to take away his rights. Here’s what Jennifer Rubin — a conervative, Republican, but anti-Trump journalist, suggested Acosta ought to do: sue Trump.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/opinions/wp/2018/11/08/acosta-should-sue-the-president-americans-should-shun-sanders/?utm_term=.d5aa1355bf36
And, are you aware that the White House passed around a doctored video to “prove” they were right in punishing Acosta? That’s Stalin tactics.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2018/11/08/white-house-shares-doctored-video-support-punishment-journalist-jim-acosta/?utm_term=.991ca687204e&wpisrc=nl_most&wpmm=1
You mention a parallel, if Fox had questioned Obama that way. It seems to me Fox got a LOT of minutes on the floor to question Obama, and Obama was never rude to THEM. That’s the way civility and good government is supposed to work, even if you happen to disagree on what is best for the country. Trump, instead, has made a career out of sowing division, sowing hate, and delegitimizing the very foundations of democracy: a free press, the Justice Dept., the special counsel, the FBI. And this is a man some think is a patriot?!?
This USED TO be a website devoted to (A) a FREE PRESS and (B) fighting JIHADISM. I read it and I support it because I believe in both of those things. If you want to talk about trolling, one ought not overlook the large, orange, pompadoured elephant in the room — it has become much more of a cheerleading site for Trump, no matter what he does.
I repeat: shame. Ms. Geller used to be focused on finding and publicizing the truth.
