Report: Dina Powell Withdraws from Consideration for U.S. Ambassador to U.N.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Goldman Sachs executive Dina Powell has withdrawn from consideration to succeed Nikki Haley as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.
Powell told President Donald Trump by phone that she was honored to be considered but planned to stay at Goldman Sachs, the source told Reuters.
Trump had been talking to Powell about the position since Haley this week announced plans to resign. Powell served the Trump White House earlier as a deputy national security adviser.

This woman is hiding out elsewhere beside Goldman-Sachs. Like Hillary demands and gets constant attention instead of a jail cell, she will not vanish just because she did not make a “short list”. Dirty work somewhere … stay tuned.

On what basis would Powell have even come up for consideration?
Apparently there are still treacherous rogues operating within the Trump
Administration. In fact, what the devil has Donald Trump been think that he’d give her consideration? Just when some sanity seems to be beginning to prevail, something like this arises and makes us realize how powerless we are to determine important decisions.

Most in a position to make these important decisions have either not read, or totally ignored, their job descriptions. The Constitution is ignored when politically expedient. It, like the Torah of Scripture, is a document to be eschewed and loop-holed by a legal system in bed with iniquity.

None of us were “fools”….it’s the Deep State inside our government that has been running things where first, we had no idea….and second, now that we know, we seem powerless to fire them en masse…..
I forget what President and what year the Congress passed a law where government employees couldn’t be fired…..but our next Congress needs to change that.
Primarily -since Carter – we have been ruled by Clinton/Bush cabals and/or their handmaidens…..
As far as my voting goes in the future…..NO MORE CLINTONS OR BUSHS OR THEIR SURROGATES….NO MORE LAWYERS, AND DEFINITELY NO MORE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PRESIDENTS!

I believe that also…..when McMasters took over his position she was part of the package deal as his Second….there was a lot of pressure inside and outside the White House to get rid of her….but McMasters refused. Finally, those voices got her out. I want to say it was only about 3 months into Trump’s term we heard she was leaving.
She is Islam’s favorite Dhimmi….

I agree. I think that it’s far more likely that she reached out to him and offered her services in a pitch to get the job. Then her deep state cronies leaked to the media that she was being considered for the position. I don’t believe that President Trump ever put an offer to her on the table, as evidenced by how quickly she “withdrew” from consideration, claiming not to want the job.

Betsy Devos is an idiot. She was selected for Secretary of Education. I NEVER read anything good about her and Common Core, rebranded was not supposed to still be in place. Trump had the disadvantage of not having a political team of trusted people as former Governors or like Obama with SOROS backing him. So he made some unwise choices for positions. That seems to be less of a problem as he knows more people and knows who he can trust and who he can’t trust for advice. The uniparty did not want him as President.

…first, he didn’t “appoint” Rosenstein…..he was the second to Sissy Swamp Sessions and when soy-boy Sessions recused from his job, Rosenstein was second in line…..
Wray was already long time FBI….not appointed by Trump…
And Powell at the Fed was second in line to Yellen….the President doesn’t have much say in these successions…he could have forced him out, but he knew that Powell would not rock any boats and the economy could not take any rocking at the time Trump was inaugurated….
You should probably look into how government jobs work….it’s usually a lifetime position unless you commit high crimes….

Sessions chose Rosenstein and Trump went along with his choice. Rosenstein wrote a letter to Trump to FIRE Comey. Trump had wanted to do this day one but refrained. Trump may have thought Rosenstein was on his side and went along with Sessions recommendation. Mueller had wanted the FBI slot and turned down. Instead Mueller wanted to take Trump out since he was rejected and Sessions chose Rosenstein as his Deputy . Mueller was never on Trump’s side. These are all swamp gate keepers. Apparently Wray moved up due to seniority. Who knew the swamp was so deep in the DOJ and FBI. Still Sessions and Rosenstein won’t fire Wray. Trump won’t at this time due to the fake Russia investigation/ Eventually things will change. I suspect that may happen after the midterms. You could say Trump was manipulated and trusted the wrong people. Now Trump knows better….

I know for sure that Trump did NOT appoint Rosenstein.
He left that up to Sessions and went along with Sessions decision to pick him.
I do by what TRUMP says over the media. He recently stated that in an interview that he did NOT appoint Rosenstein and that it was Sessions decision that he went along with it. Trump trusted Sessions to chose and then went along with it.
I wasn’t sure about Wray but ladywarrior leanred that up. Trust the people involved and not he liberal media.

Trump did NOT appoint Rosenstein. He left that to Sessions. He allowed Sessions to pick who he wanted. Trump is not a micro manager type of guy. He delegates. Sessions chose Rosenstein and Trump said fine.
I’m not sure about Wray. Either way, Trump had to approve him and then have a Senate confirmation vote. Whether he left that up to Sessions too or put him forward on his own, I don’t know. This is unfair but as soon as I saw him he struck me as a worn out bureaucrat with no energy. He’s content to go along with the corrupt mob in the FBI. Wray needs to go. There seems to be this bubbling up of people based on seniority. It’s a corrupt mess. I think less mistakes will be made by Trump since he now knows more about the swamp – who’s who and who does what.
