Iran Executes Kurdish Child Bride Days After Delivering Stillborn Child

Story continues below advertisementIranian authorities executed a former child bride this week on charges of murdering her abusive husband after she gave a false confession under torture, according to reports.
Zeinab Sekaanvand, 24, was 15 when she was forced to marry her husband. Soon into the relationship, Sekaanvand said that he started physically abusing her and his brother-in-law raped her. The family ignored her concerns.
Following his death in 2012, Sekaanvand was arrested on charges of stabbing him to death and confessed to his murder under torture. She later retracted the confession, saying she had been tortured and interrogated without access to a lawyer.
On Tuesday, two days after she delivered a child stillborn, she was sentenced to death by hanging at the Euromieh central prison, in the city of Urmiya in northern Iran. The execution was condemned by the likes of Amnesty International and the Head of the United Nations Human Rights Commission Michelle Bachelet.
“The execution of Zeinab Sekaanvand is a sickening demonstration of the Iranian authorities’ disregard for the principles of juvenile justice and international human rights law,” said Amnesty International’s Research and Advocacy Director for the Middle East and North Africa Philip Luther. “Zeinab was just 17 years old at the time of her arrest. Her execution is profoundly unjust and shows the Iranian authorities’ contempt for the right of children to life. The fact that her death sentence followed a grossly unfair trial makes her execution even more outrageous.”
He continued:
It appears the Iranian authorities are increasingly scheduling the execution of people who were children at the time of the crime at very short notice to minimize the possibility of effective public and private interventions. We are horrified by their continuous use of the death penalty against people who were under the age of 18 at the time of the crime, which is a violation of international human rights law. This is the fifth execution of a juvenile offender that we have recorded this year and we fear that it will not be the last unless urgent action is taken by the international community.
We continue to urge the Iranian authorities to immediately establish an official moratorium on executions, commute all death sentences with a view to abolishing the death penalty, and prohibit the use of the death penalty against people below the age of 18 at the time of the crime.
Bachelet described the case as “deeply distressing” and called for an end of Iran’s use of the death penalty.
“The serious question marks over her conviction appear not to have been adequately addressed before she was executed,” she said. “The bottom line is that she was a juvenile at the time the offense was committed, and international law clearly prohibits the execution of juvenile offenders.”
According to estimates from human rights organizations, Iran executed more than 500 people, many on unproven charges that are often politically motivated, in the past year. Just last month, three Iranian Kurdish men – Zaniar Moradi, Loghman Moradi, and Ramin Hossein Panahi – were executed on murder charges after reportedly giving a confession under torture.

I guess it turns out that we have no voice in Iran’s government. Making deals and living up to our side of them is how we gain influence over it, though. Dropping out of agreements is how we lose influence and international credibility…

The EU is ALL FOR the Iran deal.
Germany makes money off it, supplying Syria with chemical weapons to use on their people.
The EU is also looking to get around Trump’s sanctions and doing business with Iran. It truly takes my breath away how they are aiding their enemy for their own demise for a few bucks.

Germany’s Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control approved a license for a company to sell military applicable technology to Iranian companies that subsequently was used in Syrian regime chemical weapons attacks, reported the German publication Bild on Monday.
The German company Krempel, located near the southern city of Stuttgart, sold electronic press boards to Iranian companies that were used in the production of rockets.

The problem for us is that if this keeps up, it is my understanding that France and the UK have nuclear weapons. If Muslims take over one or both of those countries, MUSLIMS will have nuclear weapons. Islam is making inroads in Africa, South America, Canada and Mexico. Who’s left? Israel and the U.S.. They will go after the U.S. first to knock us out and then it will be Israel’s turn with no one to help defend her. Right now they won’t do anything to Israel outside of the usual stuff with Trump as our President and our relationship strengthened.

I think you are grossly deceived in your belief that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. The last attack we, in the US, accused Assad of doing, was later proven to have never happened at all. The first attack occurred in similar circumstances to the fake 2nd attack. Assad was winning against Western and Saudi Arabia supported ISIS by conventional means. It would have made no sense for Assad to do such a crazy thing that would bring down the wrath of t he world. Months later, it was proven that those chemical weapons did not come from Syrian government forces, but came through NATO member Turkey.
Just weeks ago John Bolton and Nikki Haley were once again warning Assad that they thought he was planning another chemical attack. They are accusing him of a thought crime. When that nonsense erupted from them I did wonder if another false flag chemical attack was about to occur. Bear in mind that this is really all about oil, natural gas, and pipelines, and who is in control. I think one issue that people forget is that there are insurgents from 90 different countries fighting against Assad. These are invaders. Many of them are a proxy army supported by the West; John McCain’s “friends,” as he publicly stated.
In case you are going to accuse me of being un-American and unpatriotic, I promise you the opposite is true. I am A Christian and a conservative American who just happens to want to operate in the truth. For instance; all these conservative organizations had been emailing me to support Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. I despise how he was treated and am glad the Left showed themselves as they are. But Kavanaugh helped write the Patriot Act before 9/11. He is a great friend to Bush Jr. He is a big supporter of unConstitutional government surveillance on all of us. This business of him loving the Constitution is a load of BS. Don’t believe everything you hear. That would put you in a similar position to lefty loons.

Both Kavanaugh and his wife have worked for, and been friends with, Bush Jr. It isn’t that I think he is a bad guy. But he is a member of the Senior Executive Service. He is a Jesuit, and he comes from a very privileged background. I am glad he is pro-life. We ought to reverse Roe v. Wade, and send this issue back to the states. I do believe that Trump will accomplish some helpful things with Kavanaugh’s help. But I would have much preferred an upstanding guy who had been guilty of high school horniness than one who is okay with the TSA pawing and humiliating Americans.

The #MeToo-ers have nothing to say about Muslims underage girls who are married, raped, and forced to have babies. Islam is valued by the Left, which knows a ruthless gang of enforcers when it sees one which can be useful to it.
