Failed asylum-seekers set fire to cell in Vienna

Six failed asylum-seekers set fire to their detention centre cell in Vienna overnight and had to be hospitalised, Austrian police said Saturday.

Story continues below advertisementAsylum claims filed by the five Afghans and one Iranian man had been rejected and they were awaiting deportation.
Police initially spoke of a collective suicide attempt but later downplayed that premise.
“We think the men wanted to highlight their unhappiness,” police spokesman Harald Soros told AFP.
The men had composed a letter which said they had no prospects for the future and mentioned dates two had been given for deportation.
One of the men had previously staged a hunger strike, and Soros said the fire might have been an attempt to prevent the deportation process.
Police said the migrants huddled in the cell’s bathroom after starting the fire and put a rag against the door to keep smoke from entering.That did not seal the bathroom off however, and one of the men then dashed to the cell door to raise the alarm.
All six were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation and one also suffered burns, but police said their lives were not in danger.

BEIRUT (AP) — Austria’s foreign minister says the return of refugees, stabilization and reconstruction in Syria must not be rigidly tied to a political process.
Karin Kneissl says Monday during a visit to Lebanon that the world should seize on “a new dynamic” developing in Syria, which has been mired in civil war for more than seven years.
Kneissl says no Syrian refugee will be forced to return, but that Austria will help those willing to return like it did with Bosnian refugees after the end of the conflict there.

After denial it is right that they are kept in custody, as they are very likely to run away otherwise. That’s something Austria is doing right that others should learn from.
It would make things easier if the deportations could be speedier, giving less time for these accidents to happen.

Just trying to appease the bleeding hearts by making themselves “victims”. I guess that every suicide can now be classified as a sacrifice in the name “victimization”. Who wants to bet that the noxious “sympathy” vote will enable these scum to stay and bleed disability benefits until they die?

Make the Asylum seekers live in the burnt cell, no matter how much it is damaged. No repairs to be made, and when you can deport them back after some time.

With all these Muslime men invading the EU we should put out the word that this is part of a Grand Plan:
We let them come to Europe so we know there will be fewer men to defend their own countries in Africa.
Because all along , the West was planning to invade THEIR countries and seize the oil, diamonds, cadmium and other precious and rare metals still unmined in their countries.
