If so, I have many questions!
It is axiomatic that to be a Muslim, you must believe in Allah by taking him as your one and only lord, accept Muhammad as Allah’s beloved messenger and take the Quran as a literal work of Allah and a perfect prescription for living.
From the first breath of life to the last pang of death, Islam relentlessly bombards us: surrender yourself fully to Allah, pray for his help, let him make all decisions for you and run your life, don’t ever question anything, since questioning is the whispering of the accursed Satan who strives to take you astray.

Islam says that Allah is the javaab-ul-doaa (answerer of supplications/prayers) and that to him we should supplicate for all help in all matters.
Well, I am doing exactly as I am advised. I am supplicating Allah in the form of this open letter, to provide me with answers to some of my numerous and troubling questions.
It must be a peculiarity about me. I am loath to surrender my inquiry about things and allow others, divine or not, to do the thinking for me. If I am to let Allah do all the thinking and deciding for me, then why am I given my own brain? I have challenged the Islamic divines.
See, I have already failed the test since I have not surrendered fully to Allah and, by questioning, did not place my total faith in him.
I have been spending much of my life trying to get some satisfactory answers to my questions about Islam from Islamic scripture and authorities without success. Often, I get conflicting answers, confusing responses and even outright contradictory statements.
Hence I decided to pose some of my perplexing questions in this open letter directly to the god of Islam, Allah, earnestly hoping my deliverance from the anguish of doubt.
I will do my very best to conduct myself with decorum and courtesy toward Allah. At no time will I behave rudely toward him, just in case he is indeed the sole author of this awesome universe, as Islam claims. To be discourteous and rude is not my habit. I don’t even behave rudely toward others, much less so in dealing with a purported unfathomably magnificent being.
The list of my questions is long indeed. Here are some of my questions, not necessarily in order of importance, presented in all meekness to Allah, the Lord of Islam. To me, all questions are important and assigning relative importance to them is arbitrary. So, I will start.
I have no illusions of grandeur and no pretense at knowing very much. I am a sincere seeker after truth and it is in this spirit that I am humbly composing this missive to you, Allah. I hope that I am not being discourteous by simply addressing you as Allah. I mean without preceding invocation of your name by honorifics.
I fully realize that I really am the most insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But, again, you have created me, so I must be worth something. It is this realization that gives me the courage to address you with my questions, your lordship.
Without further ado, here are some of my questions.
* Islam says that you are the uncreated creator. I have a very hard time with that claim. Of course, I am a most finite being and my intellect is hardly capable of imagining that something comes from nothing. There is that old refrain, “nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever could” that humans take as an article of faith and fact. But, again, we humans are hardly capable of fathoming things that transcend the limits of our finite rational mind. Any clarification of this assertion would be immensely helpful.
* Speaking of creating, Islam says that you created the universe by the command: kon va yakoon (become and became). The universe appeared instantly in obedience to your command. There are different views about this whole topic of creation that I don’t want to trouble you about. For now, my simple question is: Lord, by this simple command of kon va yakoon, you brought about this indescribably magnificent universe, yet you took over twenty years to write your smallish book, the Quran. Why did it take you so long to write it? I fear a thunderbolt might strike me dead for posing this intrusive question. I hope you hold off and allow me to continue.
So I think maybe I can supply a rationalization, not a plausible reason, for it. I said to myself, your lordship, perhaps it took you twenty-three years because Muhammad was illiterate and slow in getting your dictates and taking them to a scribe to jot them down. That’s why. Yet finding someone who could write things down among a horde of savages was certainly not an easy task.
A follow up question! Why would a supremely august being, such as yourself, with all the indescribably exulted powers and attributes, choose an illiterate Arab, a hired hand of a rich widow, as your messenger is a mystery? Couldn’t you have chosen a Rabbi from nearby Medina, a Zoroastrian Mobed, a Christian Priest from Mecca itself, a Hindu Monk, a Buddhist Cleric? These were people who have specialized in matters of religion, rather than an Arab whose only skill was helping drive caravans of camels.
I have seen Islam’s pat answers to all questions: to no one is given the right to ask Allah about his doings, he does what pleases him and ordains what he wants. But this is no answer. It is a cop-out.
*Are you male, your lordship? Pardon me for asking a personal question. The reason I ask is that you have much against women. You stipulate that women are worth one-half of a man. You ordain that men are rulers over women and much more. I really don’t see that. My lifelong experiences with women have convinced me that women are every bit as worthy as men, if not even better in many respects. For one, women are the life-givers and nurturers of life. Men, by contrast, are forever in the business of life-taking.
Science tells us that women are as capable as men in every sphere other than those that require brute force. But machines are much superior to men in brute force and women can and do operate those machines as well as men.
Is there something inherently inferior or evil about women? If so, then, pardon me, your lordship. It is you who designed them that way. Didn’t you?
Is it not a fact that the savage chauvinist Arabs of Muhammad’s time are the ones who instituted this oppressive scheme against women and Muhammad stamped his approval of the fraud in your name?
*My next question is about the role of religion. My limited understanding is that the major function of religion is to bring disparate people together. That is, bring unity and amity among the diverse and quarreling human groups. Islam fails miserably on this major point. While Muhammad was alive, he kept preaching the message of divisiveness. He taught a message of us against them, believers against the unbelievers. Since his death, Muhammad’s followers have doggedly followed his message of divisiveness.
How can fueling the fire of polarization bring about the peace of unity after what Muhammad did and his disciples continue to do, killing the unbelievers en masse and without the least bit of mercy?
Compounding the problem is the fact that as Muhammad was still gasping his last breath, his senior disciples were busying themselves with the business of killing one another in their lust for power and leadership. And Islam has been on a mission with the internecine as well as infidel killing ever since.
Whether I receive answers to these questions, I will persist in posing more of them in the future. Who knows? As unlikely as it may seem, Allah may indeed deem it appropriate to send another of his archangels with a Quran addressing these and other troubling questions. Keep in mind that he does what pleases him and ordains what he wants.

Ha … well those are good questions in a humorous vein. I am sure there are many others … such as why Allah rejects free will, and why Allah has no ‘Golden Rule’ and no ‘Rule of Law’ as understood in the West. Why are certain trivial, superficial traits of supreme importance, but profound beliefs transcending human concerns are not? Why is the only route to salvation through bloodshed? Why is paradise designed around a twelve-year-old boy’s masturbation fantasies? And on and on …
Skeptics, like me, should ask … why is it that – within six sigmas – it is always true that the world loves this damned thing we call Islam, and hates anything good – more or less in direction proportion from its conceptual distance from Islam? It is this question – the surprising and incontrovertible directional and magnitude relationship with Islam that begs the ultimate question about Islam…

I always thought that “Allah” was a vague term for a creator-deity in Mecca, perhaps related to Hubal, the lunar god of the Kaaba in ancient times, then incorporated into Islam, which absorbed so much from Arabian mythology, such as the djinn.

‘Allah’ is a corrupted spelling of the Hindu symbol Aum:
Islam is all about taking possession of other religions, other cultures. And they always used to do so by superimposing them on the religions itself. Muslim invaders didn’t know how to read or interpret Sanskrit. Most of them were illiterate and had no education at all. When they came across the AUM symbol and heard of it being very sacred (probably from their raids on Bakkah, the ancient name for Mecca; a religious, wealthy multicultural sacred city in medieval times where Hinduism and Judaism mixed) they wanted to take possession of it. Since Arabic is read from right-to-left they turned the Hindu symbol backwards – and interpreted it to mean ‘Allah’.
If one reads the symbol of AUM in a mirror you will find the Devanagari (Sanskrit-Hindi) numerals 7-8-6. The numbers “786” are considered sacred in Islam and to contain the “secret” name of Allah. “786” is the total value of the letters of
“Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim” [Rama].

I don’t think allah and islamic doctrines deserve the respect and intellectual curiosity this essay gives. To me it’s much simpler. By analogy we would expect even a paltry human intellect to possess a greater moral intelligence than allah is portrayed as having. God cannot be infinitely powerful, wise, and loving yet act like a narrow minded cretin that condones murder for selfish and bigoted reasons. The core tenets of islam are absurd on its face. Muhammad is the “best example” for robbers and torturers and allah is portrayed as a morally depraved and narcissistic demon. Islam cannot be from the true creator, if there is one, any more than the novel War and Peace could be from an earthworm. Islam is obviously a hodgepodge of plagiarized religious tidbits mixed in with some political aggression by superstitious men who had supremacy and misogyny as their primary goals. Determining allah’s divinity shouldn’t require any more analysis than determining whether or not Santa Claus is real, his bigotry and murderous nature is obviously a projection of the conquering muslim pagans who invented him. Islam is false because its doctrines contradict our own best natures and moral understanding, even if such a god were to exist we should not follow it. We know its wrong to hate and kill for ignorant and bigoted reasons, and we are reasonable in thinking a supreme creator would know that too. Allah obviously doesn’t.

Islam should by rights be laughed out of existence.

Yes, you said it perfectly. Islam is a miracle of stupidity, and the violence and bigotry it causes is a curse on humanity. Muslims have made a fetish-idol out of an illiterate murderer and child abuser. But we can’t talk about it or we’re racist. Much of the world has gone mentally ill for islam, so I guess it’s our duty to help them get well.

Question No. 1: If there is an uncreated creator, it certainly isn’t Allah. Allah doesn’t even know how the creation works.
Question No. 2: Islam makes the claim that the Koran eternally exists in paradise with Allah. It pre-existed Mohammad. Yet it is full of abrogations (mind changing), contradictions and bad poetry. It directly addresses Mohammad, a finite being who had his existence in the seventh century. There are two possible answers to your follow up question: Either Mohammad wanted to go from being a mere driver of camels to a driver of men – OR – Allah chose Mohammad, an illiterate degenerate living in the cultural sink of Arabia, to lead an ascendancy of the benighted Arabs right when the Byzantine and Parthian empires had exhausted themselves. If Allah is a war god, this makes some sense. However, the first possibility is the most likely.
Question No. 3: According to Islam, Allah revels in his own ‘Oneness’ and has no partners so even if Allah is male, it is for nothing. But Mohammad definitely WAS male and liked to rape women and Allah, being male-ish gazed pruriently at Mohammad’s sexual conquests. So either Allah created women to be inferior and had this eternally pre-written in his heavenly original of the Koran while reveling in his own Oneness or it really was up to Mohammad.
Question No. 4: Islam is a unifying force. However, Islam goes about uniting Mankind differently than other religions. Once persuasion is out of the way, Islam goes directly to force. Mohammedans see themselves as obedient slaves who are tasked with rounding up the runaway slaves. They are authorized to kill as many as it takes to get the rest to submit. This is a rough but viable way of uniting disparate peoples. Sooner or later, people get tired of being ‘them’ and decide to become ‘us’. There is very little about this that is spiritual. It is almost purely political.

Anybody possessing any level of intellect can see that the so called Quran, which actually was not codified until a long time after Moham’s death, was the product of his own mind with his own imagination overlaid on the Jewish Torah plus bits of Arab folk law and custom added. He was prone to seizures and probably schizophrenic as is well documented by his contemporaries and such people were usually held to be possessed by spirits. He invented ‘allah’, allah’ did not choose him as a messenger as there is no ‘allah’
BTW I have often asked almost the same questions about the Christian ‘god’, the usual reply is we are not capable of understanding which as the writer says is just a ‘cop out’.

Whether one believes in a God or not, your article clearly points out that Allah did not create the horrible dictates that are contained within the Quran, and you clearly established that the Quran was likely the creation of men who used it to solidify their power and quest for possessions. The Quran says “to question the faith is to lose faith”…to doubt and suggest reform or reinterpretation is heresy and apostacy. The penalty is death. Well now this has created a stir and so it should.
Allah also made mistakes in the bodily creation of man and woman. He created the clitorus that he then told mohamed he wants cut out. He created the foreskin he wants cut off. Perhaps he was in a rush with such a main task of creating everything.
Ah not so bright after all as Allah created a human that cannot inbreed but mohamed, the most perfect man who has walked the earth had sex with his 1st cousin, now our NHS and the UK are paying the price by having to treat the children of this inbreeding. I wonder if Allah had a plan for refunding the NHS in order to right his obvious mistake in modelling mohameds behaviour. Food for thought.

Allah is the Lord in Arabic and the Lord of Mecca was Baal the moon deity. No surprise that Mohammed the Fascist’s family were the caretakers of Baal. Everyone knew who the Lord of Mecca was in pagan Arabia. That is why Mein Koran never bothers to explain what Al Lah means. It doesn’t have to.

Free Will and the Mind are the most important attributes of any human being.
And Islam does not even allow these to exist. It says to blindly submit to it
and to believe in absurdities like the inferiority of all women to all men + the
unearned superiority of Muslims to all other people + the evil of any sexuality
in women compared to the goodness of rampant sexuality in men, including
a strong tolerance when men rape + blasphemy and severe punishments
if Islam and the absurdities are questioned in any way.
Not to mention the murderous agenda of jihadis throughout the world who
further believe in mutilation of female genitalia + honor murder + intimidation
and murder to demand that people submit more and more to Islam + murder
of apostates if they dare leave Islam + murder of anyone who satirizes
Mohammed in caricature and on and on.
This very threatening and murderous religion is not where free will and human
reason can flourish. MY question to Allah would be: why did you give these
attributes – which allow individuals and civilizations to move forward – to
all human beings?

Allah is no GGod, plagiarised from the Holy Bible, thanks to Muhammad’s upbringing by those around him. One has to know early Christianity and what was happening with Constantine, and growth of Christianity in North Africia.
Allah would not allow Muslims to pray the wrong direction for 200 years, bringing in the Qibla to correct. One is lost without a Qibla. Jews, Christians do not need a Qibla.
Allah is violent not like the Christian. God. Christian God only corrects those that do not listen, but all warned.
Muhammad is the only prophet to have visisions in a cave, all other prophets always in the light. Muhammad had Khadija and Waraqa both Christian say that Muhammad was a prophet.
Muhammad also said the world was flat, hardly for Allah to have Muhammad get that wrong.

What I’ve read and learned is that Muhammad never talked directly to “Allah”! All his visions were conveyed by the “Arch angel Gabriel”.
If Muhammad is the true prophet of God. Why didn’t God talk to him directly? Why did God need a middleman, “Gabriel “, to convey his message?!

Why the false god of islam chose a lowly camel humper to be his prophet is that this imagined desert god can’t read, write, or speak The Queen’s English simply because the Queen whose English it is outranks her spouse in the British legal system, and is a Mother. For this same reason, any questions, such as these, written in anything other than muhammad-era Arabic are beyond his ability to read and respond. Be patient, After all the brainless British people, from which I mostly descend, have taken what was once the greatest nation in the world and converted it into a religion of peace swamp and are poised to make Arabic its national language. Then those who wish to communicate with the reigning British monarch will need use an archaic language of the shifting sands since allah will not be able to communicate in any of those lovely English dialects spoken in the USA = neither will that monarch or our own authorities in their own swamp.

As I was finishing my paperwork, and bidding allah adieu, as he (I have to assume, that allah is male, since he obviously doesn’t like women) made his descent, through the Maelstrom, into the dark stygian night, I told her “I’ll have to read this to you, as soon as I wash my hands”.
