Instagram model, 22, is shot dead at the wheel of her Porsche convertible by gunmen in Baghdad
- Tara Fares built an Instagram profile which had amassed 2.7 million followers
- She was killed around 5.45am Thursday in Baghdad by unknown attackers
- Her death is the latest in a spate of murders of well-known women in the country

A model and Instagram influencer was fatally shot by unknown gunmen as she drove through the Iraqi capital on Thursday morning.
Story continues below advertisementTara Fares, 22, suffered ‘three fatal bullet wounds’ at the wheel of her Porsche convertible while driving through Baghdad’s central Camp Sarah district.
Her death has sent ripples through social media, where she had been building her own personal brand having amassed almost three million followers on Instagram.
Tara’s instagram says her interests are style, beauty and travel. She also had a YouTube channel, where she uploaded makeup tutorials and video blogs
The former 2015 beauty queen suffered three bullet wounds just before 6am local time
The former beauty queen was taken to Baghdad’s Sheik Zaid hospital at 5.45am local time.
She lived in Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, and was said to rarely visit Baghdad.
Her death was confirmed by the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior, which announced an investigation has been opened, Kurdistan 24 reported.
It comes not long after two other women involved in the beauty industry were reported murdered in Iraq.
Rafeef al-Yaseri, who owned the ‘Barbie’ beauty centre, and Rasha al-Hassan, a beauty expert, died in mysterious circumstances at their homes in August.

For me free will is a fact and not debatable and I have no time for philosophy.
Years ago I read the works of a few philosophers. I have always found philosophers to be looking to validate their world view that deviates from those that follow Christ. I also find philosophy to be boring. That’s just my two cents and how I see it. Others really enjoy it.
I have always found the Bible to be the ultimate source of wisdom and why I remain with that. The older I get the more I value it. When younger I lacked experience in life to fully appreciate the wise counsel it offers. I spend zero time with philosophy today. Others can do as they wish – free will! We all make choices because we have free will to do whatever we want.

I never thought that would be possible but when people talk about the effects of repeated inbreeding that is starting to seem possible. That begs the question, what is to be done about that? Opportunity cost is the cost between spending time rectifying the problem they brought on themselves verses time spent on increasing your own families well being, and that of your own country men.

Probably, but not necessarily. I used to know a muslum in college, Bashir, he seemed pretty normal until one night when there was no one else around he went on the most incredible rant about Jews and miscegenation. He also pointed out no muslum woman would dare to date outside her race/religion. If I didn’t know who he was I would’ve thought he would fit right into a KKK or Aryan Brotherhood meeting.

Hopefully people are starting to figure it out now, it isn’t ISIS, it isn’t 5 maniacs screaming and shouting in the hills of Tora Bora, it isn’t “Islamism” or “radicals” it is normal everyday Islam, regular Muslim men enforcing the brutal barbaric Sharia law on women.
What they do to their own wives, daughters, mothers, they will do to non-Muslims girls/women in our own countries. Of course it’s happening already but it is just a trickle, eventually it’ll be a flood, they will turn our lands into killing fields. The West better learn fast, because the Muslim population doubles every 25 years like a bacteria.
On a positive note, some nations are figuring it out and have begun to reverse the Islamic tide. If they can do it then so can the rest of us. Lastly thank Bush for wasting trillions of dollars and thousands of lives to take Iraq away from one group of Muslims and give it to another group of Muslims. What a fkg idiot.
If you’re going to wage war you should at least know who the hell you’re fighting. You should also have the common sense to know that you’re not going to leave the country to another group of Muslims who will keep doing what the previous regime was doing.
Had Bush had the basic intelligence to realize the problem was Islam then he had the perfect opportunity to remove Islam from Iraq/Afghanistan and give Muslims real freedom after being trapped for 1400 years under this barbaric ideology. He could’ve turned Iraq into democracy. It would’ve been a great experiment and then he could repeat it in Iran and other nations infected by the disease of Islam.
Western nations then would’ve known Muslims were evil and we would’ve began banning Islam and deporting Muslims who refused to leave Islam. Instead the exact opposite has happened and things are even worse now for us and the world than they have ever been. Hopefully the West will wake up before we find ourselves in WW3.

I covered that in my comment, in order to have Democracy you need to completely eliminate Islam. This would mean that you eradicate all their terrorists and supporters, then give the remaining Muslims the option to convert to any other religion like Christianity or no religion, except Islam.
Don’t forget that every nation that is Islamic today became that way through invasion, conquest, forced conversions. If people can be forced into a belief system they can be forced out of it. Within one generation, Islam will be completely eliminated and the Muslims will become secular-democrats like ourselves.

It could be possible, but what stands in the way is the will to do so by our politicians. The irony is that in order to preserve our tolerant, respect-for-all-beliefs culture, we are going to have to finally stand up and say “Nah, this belief ain’t working for us’. There are still many among us who won’t allow that to happen, and that number will only increase as the members of the RoP increase their population.

Agreed, it won’t be easy, the will has to be there to re-educate millions of Muslims. At the same time we have to realize we need to treat Muslims in our countries with an iron fist. Keep them out of politics, police/courts, food services and the medical field. They cannot be trusted, even if most are honest, a small percent could still wreak havoc on innocent people’s lives. It’s better to deport most if not all of them and ban their cult of hate.

Duh does someone think that she was showing off in a piss poor country where she should have been more discrete? I am NOT condoning what happened. It is WRONG. But the foolishness of a 22 y.o. driving around in a Porsche at 5 AM in the morning in Baghdad is very ignorant when most Iraqi’s cannot even afford to buy a car or much else.
