The Holland Cruise Ship, The Eurodam is amazing! Let me just say, prior to this day in July I, had never stepped foot on a cruise ship before! Now, I can’t wait to go back on again! I was invited by Holland Cruise line to attend a lunch on their boat and to check out the ship. I was not given monetary compensation for this post.
I was excited to be able to take my girlfriend, Jenn with me on the ship! Not only is she my “Betty Crocker” and Martha Stewart idea girl, she’s been on several cruises before in her life so she was excited to see the Holland ship since she had never been on the cruise line before!
Now, I am going to let you in on a secret. I was adamant I was never going to go on a cruise. Let me tell you, within 15 minutes of being on the ship, my tune was changing, by lunch, I was sold! She and I are now plotting a girl’s cruise together for some time away.
Now, some of my family has cruised out of the Port of Seattle before but I had never been there! I was amazed at the size of the area and how busy it was! It’s amazing how busy the port is and how many working parts there are. We ended up parking and taking a shuttle to the terminal where we checked in and boarded the ship!
We started out in the library where we were introduced to some fun facts about the ship and how it gives back to the Seattle economy and community! I thought it was awesome they also had board games to play while visiting with other guests of the ship.

One of the parts that shocked me was the show we watched! The BBC Earth Experiences created an amazing video of Alaska and all the wildlife! Plus, there was an orchestra that coordinated the music to the show! This movie sold me on adding Alaska to my bucket list!
Jenn said the best part of the cruising was the food and the drinks as well. And oh my gosh, she was not wrong! Our lunch was terrific, and had some of the best flank steaks ever! When we were walking around, we were able to see the food being prepared in all the restaurants and everything looked terrific!! I did notice that they had a lot of options and willingness to cater to any dietary needs as well!
