More Than Half of Foreign Refugees are on Taxpayer-Funded Food Stamps in USA

50

Exactly what the Democrats ordered. Votes — paid for on the backs of the American worker and all in the cause of anti-Americanism.

More than half of the annual inflow of foreign refugees arriving in the United States are on food stamps, a government report reveals.

Since 2008, as Breitbart News reported, the U.S. has permanently resettled more than 1.7 million foreign nationals and refugees through a variety of humanitarian programs like the Special Immigrant Juveniles and the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act. This is a foreign population larger than Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — a city with more than 1.5 million residents.

By John Binder, Breitbart, August 13, 2018:

Story continues below advertisement

An annual report by the Office of Refugee Resettlement was analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies’ Jason Richwine, in which the analyst revealed that about 56 percent of households headed by foreign refugees who arrived in the U.S. between 2011 and 2015 are using taxpayer-funded food stamps.

Nearly 30 percent of refugees received cash welfare of some sort, while 34 percent of refugees 18-years-old or older said they had no health insurance. Of the refugees who said they did have health insurance, about 50 percent said they were either on Medicaid or Refugee Medical Assistance, both of which are taxpayer-funded.

The education levels of foreign refugees coming to the U.S. are also remarkably low. Roughly half of refugees 25-years or older said they did not have a high school diploma before arriving in the U.S.

Additionally, only 16 percent of refugees 18-years or older said they were currently seeking  some kind of degree. The most common degree sought by refugees is a high school diploma.

As Breitbart News‘ Michael Patrick Leahy noted most recently, President Trump’s administration has historically reduced the annual inflow of foreign refugees. Under Trump’s “America First” agenda, the U.S. is on pace to accept less than 23,000 refugees for the Fiscal Year 2018. This would be the lowest yearly refugee admission in three decades.

I am not greatly perturbed by the fact that many refugees lack a high school diploma. We don’t need to attract “intellectuals”. Nor do I object to giving assitance for a few years to legitimate refugees. Arriving in the USA without English (um, or Spanish) is a daunting prospect, and by accepting refugees, a nation generally accepts some responsibility for their support- I would say until they reasonably can be expected to “get on their feet” in what can be a frighteningly different world. Refugees are granted that status because of legitmate fear of persecution in their countries of origin, and the USA should be a place of refuge to persecuted people who intend us no harm.

Agree. your explanation makes sense if most of them are refugees. Most are not.

And the first Muslim democrat president imported 200,000 yearly legal and illegal muslims and deported christians back to ISIS to be slaughtered after they tried to make it to America http://tinyurl.com/mtc3xch

And those who dared to help were threatened to shut up and MSM would not cover it !

And Muslims see this as opportunity to spread islam into infidel lands while living off freebies at infidels cost while crime rate soars.

Doesn’t seem to be a big difference between us. I do not think we should accept Moslem refugees- they are far too likely to violate my proscription that they “intend us no harm”.

I recognize that most Moslems do not intend us harm- but neither I, nor an immigration officer, can distinguish those to do, and do not (or will not) wish to destroy a free society. In fact, I would be willing to lay a small wager that the most effective way to promote apostasy from Islam would be to require would be Moslem immigrants to abjure their faith.

Your statement made no mention whatsoever of verifying the f’ing muslum scum have indeed left their Jew hating, fascist, vile, violent, totalitarian death cult. But please do tell me how you would go about verifying such a thing.

Agree. Then they’ll howl religious discrimination s per 1st amendment rights. you need to get lot more smarter then them.

first step is to have a public hearing on “is islam compatible with constitution ?”
or “why more than 90% terrorists are muslims” and come to conclusion , islam is a terror and murder cult of mohamad and not religion.
Once you take off the cover , then you can keep muslims out of voting rights and all benefits . if they howl tell them to quit islam or go to islamic sharia countries.

In a broader sense there should be a determination as to whether islam is a religion or a political ideology. In the simplest of terms, religions do not impose their laws on members of society who do not believe in the religion and or those who are not members. But islam does impose itself on non-believers, and that is one aspect that makes it a political ideology.

I support Christian, Yazidi, and atheist refugees from the Middle East, their religions are under heavy persecution and daily assault in many parts of the Islamic world.

But regarding Muslims…their religion is genuinely very outdated and prone to violence, and I would not wish to wager the future of my children for the sake of politically correct virtue-signaling.

I think we are in agreement. I think you could apply (the contrapositive of?) the “duck test” to self-proclaimed ex-Moslems”: if it doesn’t look like a duck walk like a duck, or quack like a duck, it probably is not a duck.

You should be “greatly perturbed” that many refugees lack a high school diploma. Just means that we law-abiding, tax paying citizens must bear the burden of paying for their education. Not our responsibility. Why should we care whether it’s a “daunting prospect” to get into the U.S. We shouldn’t. Yeah, it’s very “daunting” to stand in a welfare line. It’s very “daunting” to get free medical care. It’s very “daunting” to get free legal aid. It’s very “daunting” to get accepted, through various grant programs (that citizens don’t qualify for), into many elite American universities. What a joke! Using refugee status to gain fraudulent entry into the U.S. has been proven over and over and there is no real verifiable way to prove a refugee has been persecuted the way they claim. There are thousands of U.S. veterans who do not have the same benefits as these filthy refugees, which is a national shame.

BTW, many of them lie! I heard a guy talking about it on some show. They tell border patrol one thing just to get in here when in fact they’re not in danger at all. Now I’m not saying all of them but more than you would think. I get why people want to come here and also why some have to come but do it legally! We can’t keep supporting all of these people. Now these socialist loon democrats want Medicare for all! Are you kidding me! It will bankrupt the country and the care will go downhill. And that’s just healthcare. I hope to God we get Trump for another four years in 2020! #BuildTheWall #NoToSocialism

Yeah, then maybe he can host a BETTER ramadan dinner, at the White House, in the years to come! And wish even MORE muslims a happy holiday, since he’s not stopped 23,000 more of those dirtbags into this country!! And let’s just ignore his Sec of Education head, who’s doing nothing about the spread of islam, from one school to the next, teaching our children, everything they need to know, on how to be good little muslims.
“U.S. is on pace to accept less than 23,000 refugees for the Fiscal Year 2018.” I guess this means, Trump is doing his best, on not letting all those “less than 23,000” into this country! Wonder what the total of those dirtbags are in this country NOW!
Wonder how many more Americans will have to die, before he decides to stop sending our men over THERE, to fight the SAME people, that are coming into this country, by the THOUSANDS, and start fighting them HERE!. We’re going to be just like Britian, or Canada, soon enough! And I wouldn’t call that “making America great again”!!
All these comments, and not ONE person, see’s something wrong with the “little less than 23,000” number!! It burns me up!!

Claims for asylum need to be vetted and, to at least some reasonable standard, verified. False claims should not be an argument for denying leg image ones.

there are 6 billion people on this planet who would like to live in america. in the 21st century, we are idiots not to pick the best and brightest. it is beyond stupid to accept this new wave of human misery, the muslims and the spanish-speaking types, that despise everything about america. they will never assimilate, their children will hate us and probably join clubs aimed at killing us, they are packing our emergency rooms to get free medical care, and they need to be sent back to whatever sh—-hole they came from

I’d rather PAY for them to STAY in THEIR country with an END DATE for paying for them.

What if, the first thing refugees were required to do, upon arriving on U.S. soil, they were required to dig their own graves in a pauper’s cemetary. Not as a threat but, as a method to let them know immediately, we do not allow free loaders in this country. They must work the moment they get here.

“Roughly half of refugees 25-years or older said they did not have a high school diploma before arriving in the U.S.” Well, why would they have a high school diploma. They’re too busy marauding in the streets, plowing goats and beating their wives in their host countries, to be fooling around with something like earning a diploma.

This really pisses me off. My wife is foreign born. I had to PROVE, even though I am a U.S. Citizen sponsoring her, that I was capable of financially supporting her and guarantee she would not become a Ward of the State.

I have zero problem with true refugees whose refugee claims are verified. But this labeling anyone a refugee and sticking the American Taxpayer with the bill is pure horse dung.

If anyone wants to know where this is going it is a single party system. CA is thee classic example as well as any major city run by Democrats.

Anyone see that number on the last sentence? Does anyone care, that Trump is sending our men to fight the same kind of “people”, that he’s letting in this country, by the thousands?? Oh, I’m sorry, his hands are tied, and it’s all the democrats fault, that their coming in by THAT many, and the year is not even done yet!! Trump doesn’t have anything to do with that!! Right?? I guess he doesn’t have anything to do with his Dept of Education head, not stopping the teaching of islam, from one school to the next, teaching our young children, how to be good little muslims!
And I guess Trump was laughing at the American people, when he hosted that Ramadan dinner at the White House, and wished all muslims a happy holiday!! He probably told everyone at that dinner, “see what I can get away with”?
How many more Americans have to die, because of huge flow, not being stopped AT ALL? Just remember what I said folks….we’re fighting the SAME kind of people, over THERE, that this government is letting in by the thousands, over HERE!! AND giving them all free crap too!! Does that make sense to anyone??

They are also on Title XVI SS Disability, which is a “disability” check for people who have never worked or paid SS. It is just another welfare check on a different federal program. Social workers meet with them shortly after arrival into the US and direct them to apply for disability – and they apply – and they get it.
