Students for Justice in Palestine Says Progress Impossible ‘So Long as Israel Exists’

30

The far-left Students for Justice in Palestine group at the University of California, Davis, said peace in the Middle East between Israelis and Palestinians cannot come forward unless the Jewish nation is disbanded and destroyed.

That’s pretty blunt, yes?

Their words: “So long as the state of Israel exists,” progress on the peace deal cannot go forward.

Story continues below advertisement

That came courtesy of the group in an essay published in the student-run California Aggie.

Honestly, what’s in the water in California? Students for Justice in Palestine at U.C. Berkeley recently called for a day of action for “Palestine.” Here, from 2014:

And this, from 2016 at the same U.C. Davis campus, where SJP shouts down an Israeli speaker:

More on the most recent SPJ uprisings at Davis, from the Algemeiner:

Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of California, Davis, acknowledged on Friday that it did not believe progress in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was possible “so long as the state of Israel exists.”

“The goal of Palestinian resistance is not to establish ‘love’ with those who are responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian people,” the group asserted in an essay published by the student-run California Aggie, “it is to completely dismantle those forces at play.”

SJP was responding to an op-ed by the Aggies for Israel club, which criticized a protest of its “Choose Love” campaign by anti-Zionist students.

“They held posters saying ‘Justice is our demand, Palestine is our Land,’ ‘Resistance is justified when people are occupied’ and one of the most personal ones, ‘Gofman has got to go’” — a reference to student government President Michael Gofman, a member of Aggies for Israel — the group wrote in June.

“As people shouted ‘f**k Israel,’ ‘f**k Michael Gofman’ and ‘you should have learned from Germany,’ in our faces, a question emerged: How could we have a ‘Choose Love’ campaign while people were choosing hate?” they asked. “These blatant anti-Semitic phrases go beyond any acceptable criticism of Israeli policies.”

SJP rejected accusations that its chants were antisemitic, writing that the reference to Germany was meant to invoke a parallel between the Berlin Wall and the West Bank security barrier, which Israel erected to stop Palestinian suicide bombings and other attacks during the Second Intifada.

The group is a chapter of a national organization that spearheads BDS campaigns on North American college campuses, a movement that Jewish community advocates have blamed for a rise in antisemitic incidents and sentiments.

While proponents of the BDS campaign portray it as an effort to isolate Israel until it abides by international law, critics have accused it of aiming to undermine the Jewish state’s continued existence. The movement’s co-founder, Omar Barghouti, has in the past rejected the notion that Jewish people have a right to self-determination by claiming that they are not a nation, and has described all Israeli Jews as “settlers.”

SJP chapters have repeatedly come under fire for glorifying Palestinian terrorists, with the group’s national branch memorializing Ghassan Kanafani on Sunday. Kanafani served as a spokesperson of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine — a terrorist organization blacklisted by the United States, European Union, Australia, and Canada — at the time of the 1972 Lod airport massacre, in which 26 people were killed.

It is going to happen sooner than later, Riley. I am long in the tooth; therefore, I never thought I’d witness it in my lifetime, I may be surprised. Good post.

Yes, to think there was a time when Berkeley was the worst of the worst. There are not too many colleges, or universities have intellectual and or freedom of speech or thought. Parents, if they are not devout leftists, should consider a trade-school. Universities, today, are no more than a breeding laboratory for malcontents, intolerance and dumbing down. The only choice is for parents to uncover a university or college with freedom of speech and thought; a hard task if not impossible.

These dumb savages only understand two things, force or or being out-bullied. People who oppose their terrorist state of Fakestine should show up with their own signs and loudspeakers that are twice as loud as theirs, basically you’d be out-heckling the hecklers.

Scream in their faces, get very aggressive (and be ready for a fight). I’ll betcha they’ll back down and leave if they face a group that’s larger and more intimidating than they are. But at the end of the day these people are waging war so they should be deported or treated as enemy combatants and jailed for life.

The Jewish calendar exceeds 5700 years, and the old testament clearly states that the Jewish people, who adopted the single God belief system and rejected what they considered was Idol and false God worship, began their belief system in the area that involves present day Israel, Judea and Samaria. The belief system that is Islam did not come into existence until the late 600’s after the common era started. The mathematics therefore establish that Judaism was in full practice for over approximately almost 4800 years before Islam was created, and their support for Jihad against Israel certainly has no justifiable or objective rightness. These so-called students are poisoning our free societies. Their call for Jihad is just another reason that we must close our borders to these people who continue to promote death and destruction without any justification and based on a noxious belief system. They must be stopped before it becomes too late. They must be told that if they continue to silence others, they will lose their student privileges, and those that do not yet have citizenship will be deported. Deportation should be the answer whenever it can be proven that they are promoting Jihad, which they relate to as death to non-believers, especially those of the Jewish faith. We must get serious about these very dangerous people, who, if they have their way, will change the fabric of our free society to its lasting detriment.

These “Students for Injustice” are the byproduct of the Socialist/Fascist educational system which is rife with an administration and faculty of Anti-Israel/Semites. The Jew-hatred contagion is cultivated and nurtured within the inner-workings of the educational system from lower School to universities. Shallow, and malleable minds manipulated by a network of professors, and handlers whose task is to indoctrinate and discipline a deep-seated hatred for Judaism.

These drones of Jew-Hatred are bent on achieving that which Hitler and his Reich could not, completion of the Holocaust, the Final Solution.

Moreover, it is not the rewiring of merely young, impressionable minds but the entirety of the Progressivists’ who have morphed into a toxic hybrid, Socialist/Fascism. Democrats are leading the way, spewing anti-Israel/Semitic vitriol while appeasing the Cult of Death, Islam while denigrating and calling for the annihilation of Israel and Judaism. Apparently, Hitler’s diabolical, evil Weltanschauung/edict/dogma lives on.

You are still a young lad, Riley… although the state of this planet tends to add another couple of decades on one’s self. Only to those who care, are not lost in a world of entitlement, self-deceit and narcissism. I fear the cathedrals of today are the huge malls, shopping centers and other superfluous entities. It is in God’s hands, God gave us free will and the capability to evolve. I do not question God’s wisdom. As said, it is in God’s hands. I do hold heavy concern for the younger and subsequent generations not myself. I enjoy your posts, God Bless and Shalom.

I know how I spell progress, I spell it this way I S R A E L.

Does anyone intend to point out to snowflake central that no country where Islam rules is capable of comparable progress to the Jewish state, what they seek is the same destruction the Nazis sought.

Go after them.

It’s unbelievable that this one sided hateful bigoted way of thinking is coming out Ivy League schools. You would think that there would be an intellectual debate instead of lock step intolerance to any people and of their country. Namely The Jewish people whom are inseparable from the land of Israel . Any form of Israel hating is Jew hating for many different reasons. SJP and many others are supported by many mus lim organizations in US and Canada ie mus lim brotherhood. The Jewish groups on campus have to be tougher(Hillel). Start dishing it back by being louder and more aggressive on campus. Learn Krav Maga and continue defending your point of view. Israel is getting stronger and stronger . The conservative Jews must show their muscle and let the rest of the lib. Jews. Go the way of the socialists whom will end up in the dust bin .

Students for Palestine sounds very Obamaite. It’s common knowledge that Hussein seditious #44 hates Israel and is a vile anti-Semitic POS.

The only thing I can thank traitor #44 is for a Republican Congress and a wonderful Republican President. Other then that Barry was a miserable failure as he continues to be.
