Small Muslim population will likely prevent Mexico from moving against Israel

31

Over four days have passed since leftist Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was elected President of Mexico. Yet there has been no indication that Mexico will move away from its pro-Israel policies. No statements by Obrador denouncing Israel. No calling for a “Palestinian” state. No statements supporting the BDS Movement. No statements supporting Hamas and Hezbollah. This may come as a surprise to many. One would assume that leftist politicians (such as the detestable Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn) are obligated to hate Israel. That may be true in the United States and the United Kingdom.

However, there is one significant difference between Mexico and the United States and the United Kingdom, where the anti-Semites Sanders and Corbyn reside, respectively. In Mexico, there has been no Hijrah. Mexico is a country of over 130 million people. The Muslim population in Mexico is a mere 100,000, which means that the Muslim vote is not large enough to have any impact upon any of the countries politicians. Mexican politicians (especially leftist ones) will not be forced to appease a voting bloc that is hostile to Israel and Jews. Mexican politicians (given the small percentage of Muslim voters) will not be subjected to bullying, threats, or intimidation, that often force politicians in the U.S, UK, and Europe to adopt vicious anti-Israel policies.

Mexico is not the only country in Latin America to embrace Israel in recent years. Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, and Honduras have also become very close with Israel, as have Colombia and Paraguay. Peru and Brazil are also rapidly moving to Israel’s corner. Argentina’s relations with Israel have never been stronger, despite the cancellation of a recent soccer match between the two countries. These Latin-American countries have one thing in common: their Muslim populations are all below 1 percent. There are certainly a number of other reasons for Israel’s significantly improved relations with Latin American countries. However, the fact that most countries in Latin America have not experienced high levels of Muslim immigration is a major factor.

“Will golden age of Israel-Mexico ties continue under Obrador?,” by Herb Keinon, Jerusalem Post, July 3, 2018:

The landslide election in Mexico Sunday of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador raises numerous questions about how the ardently left-wing, anti-establishment candidate will govern.

What policies will he adopt toward US President Donald Trump? How will Mexico orient itself regarding the rest of Latin America? How will he tackle Mexico’s staggering homicide rate (29,000 people killed in 2017), one of the highest rates in the world? How will he deal with the country’s economy?

For Israel, however, the key questions is whether he will continue the policies of his predecessor, Enrique Pena Nieto, policies which have led a veritable Golden Age in Israel-Mexico ties. While Jerusalem is reflexively wary when left-wing governments take over in various countries around the world, this does not necessarily bode ill for relations with the Jewish state, as evident by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ left wing government in Greece that has maintained – and even moved forward – the close ties established with Israel by his more conservative predecessor.“The relations between Israel and Mexico are really now at a peak,” Dina Siegel Vann, the director of the American Jewish Committee’s Belfer Institute for Latino and Latin American Affairs, said in a phone interview from Washington. She said this was manifest in unprecedented business ties and cooperation between the two countries;  regular high-profile visits, the most important being Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu [sic] trip to Mexico City last September; and the changes in Mexico’s voting pattern at the UN.

For instance, Mexico abstained both in the December vote in the UN General Assembly condemning the US for moving its embassy to Jerusalem, and in the vote in the same body last month condemning Israel for the violence in Gaza and calling for the protection of the Palestinian civilian population. In the past they have generally voted against Israel in these types of votes. “The question is whether he will continue on that track, or if he will harken back to the time when Mexico was part of the Third World and non-aligned movement, ” Siegel Vann said.

Mexico might have only 100,000 muslims today, but what’s the growth rate ?

Between the years 2001 and 2011, the growth of the muslim population in the UK reached 74%.

I think I recall back in 2005 seeing reports about a three day conference in some Latin American country { I think it was Brazil} hosted by the Saudis and involving every major majority Islamic country in the world and the subject was increased “cultural” and “trading” ties between the countries of Latin America and the Islamic world.

If this new president hangs around for a few years, who can say what his priorities will be by then.

Build that wall.

Your commentary is right on. Islam expects to dominate, as that is built into its belief system. They believe that their belief system is the only one that is acceptable, and as they increase their numbers as refugees they move ever closer to domination. We have seen those facts of life developing in Europe very dramatically, and it is happening in the U.S. now in many areas where they are settling in their ghetto type living and promoting among their believers the fallacious concept of Jihad and dominance/superiority. No other religion has that as their philosophy in todays society. They should be feared as they do not believe in due process and equality among men. They bring with them a clear and present danger, and the free world must never lose sight of that.

Islam also copies Judaism and Christianity in that they also believe their is a coming Messiah.

Christians accepted Christ and Jews didn’t. ISLAM also has a coming “messiah” – an IMAM. Muslims believe they need to DOMINATE the world in preparation for their coming IMAM. So there is pressure and a sense of urgency to dominate the world. Unfortunately this doesn’t get talked about. ALL Muslims believe this – regardless of sect. So they will continue to fight non Muslims and fight amongst themselves.

There is no free world any more. Western Europe is conquered by Islam, the USA is in convulsions, Russia and Eastern Europe are still holding and balancing. China does not understand, India is paralyzed by 200 millions inside and Pakistan with nuclear weapon. Philippines are holding, Thailand is holding, Australia is fast populated by Muslims. Israel is expanding; the only place still winning over Islam, although always on the edge.
Everything will be decided in the titanic struggle in the US. If Trump and Evangelists are conquered the spread of Islam will be unstoppable joining the Islam in Canada.
Conclusion is that only nuclear war of limited proportions against the few fundamental Sunni Islamic symbols can save the world. Shia are strategically not dangerous, too few of them.
Actually the ISLAM is very vulnerable; with these symbols destroyed, that in accordance with Islam cannot happen, the subsequent ideological schism will destroy the raison-detre for Islam extremely fast.
The power of Islam has been hinging on extremely smart propaganda of their invulnerability and inevitability. This kept the outside world in fear for millennium. Moreover it held happy all Muslims, hungry and dirty for the millennium; the pride of inevitability. If this is destroyed by by the destruction of their “indestructible symbols” Islam will crash by itself.

I agree, at this juncture, the US is the linchpin. Trump and the remnant have been the vanguards against what complicit past US political figures engaged in and what Clinton would have cemented. However, If I’m reading the scriptures correctly, this current reprieve won’t last and sadly, America will come under the thumb of the NWO, and because of her financial and military might, will become the ultimate tool of mass oppression. Trump is somehow removed from the equation ( electoral defeat or assassination ), and the oppressors take power, spilling much blood in the process and going forward. A sad end to a most glorious beginning that any country could ever hope to achieve. I don’t say these things lightly, nor frivolously, nor disrespectfully. The amount of evidence is overwhelming that the end times are upon us, and that the most we could hope for, fight for and pray for are that we are spared the worst of what’s to come, and that as individuals, we find salvation in Christ.

He wants OTHER countries to educate and better them. We have the existing infrastructure for there whereas Mexico does not. I doubt he will willingly want more Muslims there. Mexico is VERY racist. They really only want MEXICANS. They are QUICK to deport non Mexicans.

You are right. Mexicans have no love for Jews. They still burn effigies of giant Jews at Easter. Jews keep a low profile in Mexico. Their money is an incentive for kidnapping.j

Obrador ran on a mandate to oppose Donald Trump. By extension, that may mean opposing countries allied with Trump, such as Israel. Mexico is likely looking towards alliances with the Orient.

Not necessary. As Pamela points out , the muslims are not big enough vote bank for him to take Anti-israeli stance. But why blame him ?

The first Muslim democrat president imported 200,000 yearly legal and illegal muslims and
deported christians back to ISIS to be slaughtered after they tried to make it to America http://tinyurl.com/mtc3xch

And those who dared to help were threatened to shut up and MSM would not cover it !

The Muslim vote may not be significant, but Israel and the USA are tied at the hip. What is currently with Israel could be redirected toward China and South Korea, with goods moving as belly cargo on nonstop Aeromexico flights from Shanghai and Seoul to Mexico City. The need for the USA will decrease further once the new Mexico City airport opens, allowing flights from Hong Kong that bypass the USA completely.

That is absolutely fake news. Before you say it isn’t…I ask you: who funded their trip across the Atlantic? Why could they not seek asylum at a US embassy in Europe? Why couldn’t they take a direct flight to the USA from Europe and seek asylum when landing? Flights to Mexico City aren’t cheap. As such, those deported there are not a valid example. As for Muslims imported, none were imported illegally. Before you say refugees, they were admitted into the USA. Before you say that Obama denied Christians entry…there were hardly any Christians to admit to begin with.

Also, you have yet to present solid proof that Obama is Muslim. Additionally, that claim earlier this week that 2500 Iranians were granted citizenship has a lot of holes in it…unless any were connected to the IRGC, there is no story there.

No, because they chose other avenues, like being smuggled out to Greece or Cyprus, or applying for Russian citizenship.

I am sure the PA will send hoards of muslims to Mexico now, good thing they have a strong immigration policy. Get caught in Mexico illegally, you will find yourself in jail potentially for years, then released off one of their border naked and penniless, if you get out a live at all.

Now that is an immigration policy!

Was anyone ever arrested for blowing up an Israeli embassy and Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in the 1990’s (killing over a hundred people and wounding hundreds of others)? Or did the investigation die w/the assassination of the attorney general of Argentina (Alberto Nisman)? Was there every any real investigation done into his assassination (i.e. that resulted in anyone being charged/arrested/prosecuted)?

It’s ONLY been since July 1st that he was elected!
It is also typical for Mexicans to take the OPPOSITE stance that the U.S. takes. Their is great animosity towards the U.S. by Mexicans. At this point, it matters NOT what a shiithole country thinks about Israel. They have no standing.

Frankly I am more concerned about them invading our country then their stance on Israel. Mexico has NO CLOUT on Israel. Whether they are pro or anti Israel will make NO difference on the world stage. It’s moot. The U.S. is in survival mode and in an INVASION right now!

Mexicans will have a direct and lasting impact on OUR country, the U.S. and forever shape it into a shiitthole if they are allowed to continue to INVADE US. Their Hugo Chavetz President is TELLING Mexicans to INVADE us – that is my top concern – not their irrelevant Israel stance.

Remember, where ever you find a Muslim minority there will be trouble.

We must look at who goes where, and why. Muslims are loathe to invade an almost purely Catholic country. Most of Latin America does not have a welfare system either, So, while people are trying to move where the money flows freely, Mexico is not the spot for other migrants either.
Mexico has many small towns where you do not mess with the Establishment. Large groups of people disappear and nobody says anything. The disappeared ones could be college students or Devil worshippers. They could be reporters or doctors. But if you go to the wrong place, and somebody does not like you, you can be gone in a heartbeat. No, Muslims are smarter than that. The ones who do live there probably live a secret life in a city large enough not to notice.
I wonder how many Mosques there are in the country?
