Tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Syrian offensive crowd Israel’s border

62

This could end up being another border confrontation much like what we have recently seen with the “Palestinians” in Gaza. Tens of thousands of refugees are crowding along Israel’s border — ISIS, too, I am sure. Israeli authorities must not give in to the suicidal naivete of the Israeli left, which will no doubt be clamoring that these people be let in. It would be letting in a Trojan Horse.

“Tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Syrian offensive,” by Seth J. Frantzman, Jerusalem Post, June 29, 2018:

Thousands of Syrian refugees have begun to crowd near Israel’s Golan Heights border in the Syrian town of Rafid near the historic cease-fire line between Syria and Israel. As the Syrian regime keeps up its bombardment of rebels in the south there are concerns that the refugees and spillover from the fighting will pressure Israel to intervene….

Story continues below advertisement

The Syrian regime has been pounding rebel positions and overrunning villages and towns in southern Syria for a week. An estimated 45,000 people have fled, with as many as 5,000 or more fleeing toward the Israeli border, seeking shelter in an area they know the regime is loathe to bomb.

The Russian air force has also been active in southern Syria, claiming to be targeting extremist groups that are not party to a cease-fire it signed with Jordan and the US last July. With US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin scheduled to meet in July, the crisis in southern Syria could throw a wrench into discussions between their two countries. For Israel, the central concern is keeping Iranian-backed militias away from the Golan and managing the crisis….

However, another option is that the factions surrender and then end up being paid to be part of the regime’s government structures, such as military intelligence. A third, “harsher” deal would envision the rebels being deported and their supporters being shipped north to Idlib province, which is still controlled by rebels….

Syria is one huge mess, Sunnis and Shi’ites murdering each other, tons of Muslim-on-Muslim, Arab-on-Arab violence. Israel and the West should just let them tear each other apart.

It is not Shia Sunni war. As majority of SAA soldiers are sunni fighting against isis/FSA and other Sunni jihadists. This war is about Syrian government against terrorism.
Even the wife of president Assad is Sunni. So next time do not embarrass yourself with uneducated comments that repetition of Fox and CNN lol

LOL R. Arandas is 100% correct and you are spreading totally transparent, inferior Syrian government propaganda of the lowest grade

Sunni Syrian Rebels (Far from being Saints, but NOT ISIS) are fighting against their tyrannical, mass murdering oppressor Assad (Who is Alawite, a quasi Shiite ethnic group) which is alive and breathing, only because of the massive support he has been receiving from Russia (giving Assad total aerial superiority + genocidal, daily carpet bombing services…) and Iran (mobilizing large forces of Shiite mercenaries including Lebanese Hizbullah + Iraqi / Afghan Shiite unites to assist Assad in his ground offensives)

While ISIS is still around, it has been largely diminished and geographically contained in a few bairn patches of ex Syrian and Iraqi desert – The only real threat the largely reduced, remaining ISIS forces pose, is the (potentially eternal) continuation of skirmishes against Assad’s army, If that is their destined role, ALL POWER TO THEM!!

A festering yet contained (by Russia, the US and Israel) bilateral Sunni / Shiite conflict in Syria and Iraq (maybe soon also IN Iran!!!) has only advantages to all SANE, non Muslim parties concerned, May the Sunni / Shiite blood bath continue for ever!!

” May the Sunni / Shiite blood bath continue for ever”
thank you for proving my point and revealing your face 🙂
Go educate yourself. SAA (syrian Arab army) under the legitimate president of syria (elected in 2012 and before that) has majority SUNNI army.
How is that possible is that his sunni army is fighting against sunni jihadists?
Next time do not embaress yourself repeating CNN for me lol
If it was not because of Assad and his ally countries like Russia and Iran, Syria would be in the hands of sunni isis now.
ISIS is not “holding” any city anymoer. they already lost.
Government forces are compromised of christians, sunnis, shia, Daruz, etc. but the other side which are child head choppers that in many instances supported by the US. Google Zinki group that was helped by the US and the videos of them beheading a child! google it.

Um, BOTH Assads (i.e. the present dictator’s dictatorial father) and the ruling elite in Syria belong to a sect of Shi’a islum and Syria has been an Iranian satellite state for decades. It’s no accident that Hezbollah is fighting FOR Assad.

let me open your mind a little bit haha look at the following picture. what would be your conclusion?comment image
Assad is secular. He lets other religions to practice, to rule. Again his wife if a Sunni. what does that mean?
Hezbollah came into this war for the unsecured borders. Go ask Christians in the Syria border what would happen if Hezbollah were not helping them? ISIS and Nusrah would capture and commit genocide them.
Iran and Russia were invited by the legal and legitimate president of Syria who never resigned and never escaped from his country. Go see videos recently how people of the south waive SAA flags.
Only ziowahabbis are sad about it.

“Assad is secular.” A lie. Syria enforces islamic blasphemy and heresy laws and when an Alawite (the sect of Shi’a islum practiced by the ruling elite) cleric pronounced a death fatwah on Wafa Sultan the ‘secular’ Syrian authorities did NOTHING.
BTW, I’ve personally met a former Syrian Jew who had nothing nice to say about Syria, their muslums or either Assad as his family had experienced generations of persecution at the hands of the f’ing muslums in Syria.

The Sunnis in Aleppo might not entirely agree with you. There are many factions fighting each other and the sectarian conflict is a major component, but ultimately it is a power struggle for control. And by the way, I only watch CNN when I need some comic relief.

Obviously, this problem facing Israel and its Allies is very serious. I would love to know how Trump, Bolton and the U.S. military chiefs see the problem as it faces Israel and the Western alliances. I rather doubt that our European allies will participate in any resolution of the problem Israel is now facing, and I expect that all the anti-Semites out there will castigate Israel no matter what they do, though all of these problems are being triggered by a civil war involving waring Islamic clans, and is being supported by Iran, who would love to see Israel overrun and destroyed. When you add Russia’s interests to keep a presence in Syria and retain its Naval bases to the equation, the failure of the Obama administration to take any steps to end the conflict, and do anything to keep the Russian’s out of the conflict, stands out like a red herring. The dilemma facing Israel is palpable. I cannot see Israel allowing these refugees into its country, as it would be like inviting a people who are trained to hate Jews from birth into your home knowing that they will bring their animosity into your kitchen. I expect the Israeli’s need to warn the world that they will be left with no choice but to stop those forces that are pushing the rebels and the Syrian civilians to its border, and that will mean military action against Iran, the Syrian Army and Russia. I am not a military strategist, but I see the problem as the most significant immediate problem facing both Israel and the free world. While I emphasize with the civilians caught in the middle of this civil war, surrounding countries must protect themselves accordingly. A very sad moment in history, as this could mushroom into a major conflict, and will likely bring America into some of the fray. Again, we must hope that the recently scheduled meeting between Trump and Putin will somehow result in an agreement that will fairly and responsibly “deal” with this problem. We all have to root for Trump and hope that he manages to resolve this dangerous situation. GO TRUMP!

Our old “allies” are on the side of Muslims.
Just the other day, air head, Prince William met with the Palestinians but refused to meet with the JEWISH Mayor of Jerusalem so as to not show bias or take sides. How is THAT neutral – meeting with MUSLIM and not a Jew?

Brits has been always hating Israel and Jews. Their famous Churchill didn’t let the boat St. Louis with 900 Jewish refugees, escaped from Nazis to land in UK, and sent them back to Hitler’s concentration camps. Prince William is a dumb antisemite. BTW his bodyguard’s car was attacked by his friends palestinians on his way. They thrown the rocks in the cars. That’s what the real friends supposed to do.

It’s exactly what Israel has to do at this point. To open the borders to the antisemites-savages-inbreeds. Israel is a tiny country. They don’t even have enough room for all their own citizens and the hundreds thousand Jews repatriating from Europe and Asia. Israel doesn’t have the unlimited assets like Germany to keep all this trash on welfare forever. If they will allow this disaster to happen, they will destroy the country. But Jews will survive thou anyway.
