Chicago bar bans MAGA hats because they want to maintain a ‘classy’ environment

A Chicago bar has been targeted by angry Donald Trump supporters after it banned the infamous ‘Make America Great Again’-hats.
Story continues below advertisementReplay Lincoln Park, an arcade game bar in northern Chicago, announced in a tongue-in-cheek Facebook post they would be banning ‘MAGA’ hats and face tattoos in order to ‘maintain a classy environment’.
However, the new dress code did not go down well with supporters of the right-wing U.S. President, and the bar has been inundated with fake negative reviews and hateful messages.

The original post, posted on Saturday, read: ‘After much consternation and consideration and to maintain a “classy environment”, Replay Lincoln Park has implemented a new and strictly enforced dress code.
The post was accompanied by two pictures, one of a man with a large tattoo across his face, and one of a ‘MAGA’ hat.
The announcement has seen Trump supporters rally to the bar’s Facebook page where many aired their grievances with the ‘dress code’.

Replay Lincoln Park’s owner Mark Kwiatkowski told MailOnline that the response to the post had been ‘uglier than I had ever expected’.
‘The entire thing was done with a tongue in cheek approach,’ he said, adding that he had hoped the rule would ‘maybe provoke some discussion and get our younger fans motivated to get engaged in political discourse.’
However, he added that along with the negative comments, the bar had received a lot of support and ‘more thumbs up than angry faces’.
Mr Kwiatkowski added that his next step would be to try to turn the drama into something positive, with the aim of raising money for charity.

I was raised to remove my hat when entering a building. It mattered little whether it was a fedora or cap. Even the old Texas cowboy roadhouses had that rule. Then, along came urbane c’boy (cowboy without the “ow”) and even those places changed.

What a great rule. Come to CA and you will not find a person under the age of 65 who doesn’t wear a hat indoors. Because it’s ‘making a statement.’ They have no idea how disrespectful they are. Or maybe they do….

That was a long time ago, when there were cowboys … as opposed to c’boys (cowboy without the “ow”). Close friend of mine, many years back, his family had been Hill Country ranchers for generations. When I lived in Austin, we’d run out to shoot ‘yotes. His grandfather would tell me about “then v now”. They didn’t have mechanical bulls or line dances.

Every picture I own of my dad shows him wearing his cowboy hat. I think it was afixed to his head with nails and screws.

Then the bakers, the photographers, and any business owner has the right to pick who he/she will accept. It’s time to fight back and do the same to the dem/prog/libs/social/commies. So far as I know, no conserve/repub. has shot anyone like happened in DC to Scalise. Enough is enough.
