U.S. Mint sales report: Week ending June 10, 2018

This U.S. Mint numismatic sales report covers the week ending June 10, 2018. The Mint’s best-selling product this week was once again the 2018 American Silver Eagle one-ounce Uncirculated coin (18EG). It sold 15,251 units. In second place is the 2018 U.S. Mint Proof Set (18RG), with 5,159 units sold, jumping up from fourth place last week. The third best-selling item this week was again the 2018 Silver Proof Set (18RH), with 4,316 sold. It’s followed by the 2018 U.S. Mint Uncirculated Set (18RJ), with 3,267 individual units sold; and the 2018 American Silver Eagle one-ounce Proof coin (18EA), with 1,828 sold.

The week also saw some downward adjustments on the 2018 World War I Silver $1 Proof Coin & Medal Sets (-268 overall) and are still marked “currently unavailable” on the Mint’s website. Those still interested in acquiring one or more sets, and who aren’t worried about whether they could grade at 69 or 70, should sign up for the Mint’s e-mail notifications to learn whether the Mint will resume sales of these products once all returns have been processed. Additionally, the 2017 American Silver Eagle one-ounce Uncirculated coin (17EG) saw a downward adjustment of -3.

There will be two new items on the next report: The Mint’s 2018 Voyageurs National Park rolls and bags and 2018 Voyageurs National Park Uncirculated five-ounce silver coin (18AL) which were released on June 11 and June 14, respectively.

The following are the U.S. Mint’s cumulative sales figures for the reporting period ending Sunday, June 10. “LKS” indicates that the number given is the last known sales figure for a sold-out item. Mintage and product limits are indicated, where applicable; if a coin is in stock but is nearing sold-out status, a link to the Mint’s product page is provided. Items in italics either are scheduled for release or have been released too recently to appear on the report; items in bold are appearing on the report for the first time.

I just can’t wait until the ATB quarters are finished. These long term series’ are just a bit much to handle.

I saw on another site that the mint made 3.5 m circulating quality NA dollars for 2018. It looks like they will have a lot left over. So do they go and sit somewhere where other NA dollars are stored ? Seems like they produced way too many or am I missing something ?

    Buzz,

Thanks for your compliment and comment regarding native plants on an earlier thread.

I can’t wait for the Snowy Egret (GA) and Black-Crowned Night Heron (RI) quarters and pucks to come out.

They are among my favorite designs in this admittedly long series.

Block Island, Rhode Island (about ten miles off the coast) is accessible by ferry, boat or small plane only and is a very special place.

I hope the absence of a bridge and restrictions on over development will keep it that way.

    Qui,
Florida isn’t the only place that’s been ruined from its natural state – look what happened to Vegas when Steve Wynn decided a desert should be tropical and everyone followed suit planting grasses and all sort of trees. There was a time when the Air out there was pure and allergy sufferers could escape all the pollen and smog.

Got a beautiful Apostle Island quarter in change at McDonalds tonight.

Still trying to decide whether to complete the S roll ATB series. Hate to be a quitter, but have ordered ZERO from the mint this year. Maybe add them to the RP set when it comes out.

I will defend flipping of coins any day of the week.

Ruining land, to flip it, is inexcusable. Owning land is not just a right, but should start to be seen more as a responsibility.

I hope I live long enough for people to reflect on how stupid it was to have giant lawns, where nothing can live.

I wish I had reptiles here (not as easy outside of Fla. when you don’t have water), so I focus on growing bees and caterpillars, which brings birds, and moths, and butterflies.

I have loved collecting coins since I was about 8 years old. However, my most precious pieces pale in significance to the joy I get being outside and seeing a proliferation of bumblebees on flowers, or seeing the bats patrolling the skies at dusk, or watching robins and catbirds peck through the lead litter to find insects.

This is basically the reason I bought this years Breast Cancer commems, to have a beautiful butterfly on a US coin. (To bring this all around.) . We need to think of what we are doing to the environment, and rapidly reverse course of using 90% Asian and European plants on residential lots, most of which are basically useless to the local wildlife.

    Buzz,
I grew up in the 50s and a basic tenant of what we were taught throughout my schooling was that with EVERY right there comes responsibility! That is no longer the basis of the educational system. I spent 50 years in the system and watched it hopelessly change once the unions took over and forced a nationalization of the system through the department of education (I did not capitalize because I don’t believe they are deserving.)

Back to coins, you can see the rights/responsibility abuse in the mint’s return policy. It got abused to the point they had to make a change. And even so, it is still being abused!

@David – I agree that the ATB series was just too long. Glad to see it wrapping up.
