Anne Marie Waters vs. the Thought Police

38

The British warrior for freedom and founder of the new For Britain Party, Anne Marie Waters, has written an account of her move away from the left and her work defending human rights in Britain: Beyond Terror: Islam’s Slow Erosion of Western Democracy. But one thing is clear throughout this eye-opening and essential book: even though Waters departed from the left, the left never left her. This is a book about the threat to Britain and the free world from Islamic jihad and sharia, but it is also just as much about how the left’s hatred, authoritarianism, and cultural hegemony is strangling Britain from within, and leading to its very demise as a free nation.

Beyond Terror shows the poison fruit of the left’s long march through the institutions, which it began in the 1960s. Steadily, step by step, they took over the academic institutions, the educational system, the mainstream media, the entertainment industry, and more. They got footholds and pried open the doors, hiring only their friends and allies, until they had total control. They never broke ranks, never gave in to infighting. This was true in Britain as much as it was in the United States. So when Waters took up the fight to defend women’s rights against the oppressive misogyny of the sharia, she again and again encountered an implacable obstacle: the left.

This is also a book about how cowardly and pusillanimous the right is. While the left stands shoulder to shoulder with their soldiers, no matter what their crime, the right abandons their allies at the slightest whiff of trouble. The left circles the wagons. The right sets up a circular firing squad. Waters tells the grim story of how, after she joined the UK Independence Party (UKIP) and ultimately ran for its leadership, she was denounced and betrayed by key UKIP leaders, including its founding figure, Nigel Farage of Brexit fame. They denounced her, of course, because she stood against Islam and sharia, and in Britain today, it takes a rare courage to do that. Even these staunchly nationalist Brexit campaigners didn’t have that courage.

Story continues below advertisement

And now, anyone who thinks, what difference does it make what happens to Anne Marie Waters? So what? UKIP is a minor party, and she is a minor political figure on the British scene, doesn’t realize the situation. The darkness of authoritarianism is descending upon Britain today. It is becoming increasingly difficult, and rapidly becoming impossible, for free people to voice their dissent from the agenda of the political and media elites. Anne Marie Waters was, as she details with equanimity and dignity in this book, thrown to the wolves. Maybe other Brits don’t care, because they believe the propaganda that she is an “extremist” and an “islamophobe.” But it won’t stop with Anne Marie Waters. If she can be defamed and vilified for getting out of line, anyone else who gets out of line could be next. Orwell’s Thought Police are working hard today in the Britain of Theresa May and Sadiq Khan.

But Beyond Terror is not a bleak book. On the contrary, it is full of hope. In fact, if Beyond Terror is proof of anything, it is proof of the fact that one person can make a difference. That person is not just Anne Marie Waters. That person is also you. Anne Marie Waters’ book, like my own book Fatwa, is the story of how one person, one private citizen, decided to act. That is the greatest lesson we can draw from Beyond Terror. Like Anne Marie Waters, you also must be unafraid. You must get on social media and shout. You must share the websites, articles, and activism on your pages, social media channels and email contacts. You must soldier on despite the smears, defamation and libel. You must go to protests, events, conferences and networks – meet people, network, start a group. Do something.

Anne Marie Waters shows how much depends upon one person deciding to act. That could be you. That must be you. I am one person. So are you. Together we are an army.

ONE person can make a difference!

Why do you think GROUP THINK and the HERD MENTALITY is so important to the left? They don’t want INDIVIDUALS.

Ms. Geller is right. They have infiltrated nearly everything!
We have moved past Alinsky. Look at Zuckerberg. He flaunts it now!
This was used for the 1960’s infiltration.

“True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism.
They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within.”

Saul Alinsky

There are many gay conservatives; Dave Rubin and Milo Y to name a couple. They do not foist their lifestyles on to the rest of us. They do not believe in identity politics or special rights.

The left is always about the policing of thought, social engineering, the censorship and shutting down of alternative opinions and viewpoints, etc.

You should know by now there is NO two-party system ANYWHERE. It’s really ONE BIG PARTY. Otherwise we wouldn’t have what we are having now in Europe or America.

They wink at each other a lot. The right really does admire the CONTROL communist have over their people as much as they repudiate it.

”Thought Police”…A deceptive and lying description methinks, Did any single one of them ”think” when their whole police force protected, thus facilitating, the Muslim rape and grooming gangs that have infested this country for at least 30 years ??? They are mindless robots, trudging along waiting for their pensions.

If Nigel Farage is soft on Islam then he cannot be trusted. If UKIP is soft on Islam then they are worthless. Islam is the problem. Islam seeks totalitarian power and they know exactly how to use it once they get it. We can see how they use power already, the future will only be more so.

Batten spoke out against islam in Whitehall last Saturday. I left UKIP because of Farage’s attitude to it. I just couldn’t understand why he’s never denounced it. I am tempted to rejoin because of Batten. Still thinking.

I don’t understand why conservatives are such sheeple. They talk about how the left has taken over this, that and everything else but do little about it. Just a lot of hand wringing. Why not start our own internet platforms, our own media, our own entertainment venues, our own schools, our own neighborhoods, etc. etc. and divide as much as possible away from this scum and vermin? They are reticent to learn. And once we have built up great establishments in all these areas, we either destroy such things as Hollywood and Facebook and Yale, etc. etc.by taking away their ability to function or they simply crumble by themselves.

Right-leaning posts on social media are now being quashed by the “Powers That Be”. Don’t believe for a moment that far right or even moderate conservatism is acceptable there. Existing conservatives are being pushed out and discriminated against on these forums. The same applies to users and Facebook pages that profess to be defendants of the US 2nd Amendment right.

He would have said, I tried. Then he would have gone back to his empire and enjoyed life. He is intelligent enough that he would recognize that he would not be in a position to affect a whole lot about this country or he would have done much of that before becoming president. He is not interested in taking down Hollywood or Facebook or any other institution or platform in this country. He might point out their fallacies but that is where it would end.

Also, there would not have been rioting in the streets. There would just have been the continued complaints by the conservative media about Hillary as president and congress as our country became more socialist and totalitarian. And the sheeple would have continued to do nothing. See Europe.

It’s an important subject, and Ms. Geller made many good points, but I had to laugh at her characterization of “the left” as monolithic and insidious. Maybe so, if by “the left” she only means the FAR left, the Bolsheviks like Corbyn, who is an unreconstructed Trotskyite and Jew-hater from way back who somehow sstumbled into leadership of Labour while no one was looking. Labour used to be staunchly PRO-Israel, and would not tolerate the Jew-hatred now suffusing the party. But I digress. In the USA, ever since the Reagan years it has been the Right which has “never broke ranks, never gave in to infighting.” Just ask Ted Cruz what he thinks of Donald Trump NOW, compared to back when Trump and Cruz were running against each other. What Will Rogers said 80 years ago is still true: “I don’t belong to any organized political party. I’m a Democrat.”

What’s the difference between the FAR left and far right? Their rationale for mass murder? Or the methods of extermination?

Michael Jacobs

I’m not interested in such how-many-angels-dance-on-a-pinhead navel-gazing, since I have no love lost on EITHER extreme. I’m an old-fashioned, slightly-left-of-center, live-and-let-live, pro-competition, pro-freedom LIBERAL, not a Bolshevik.

I’m sure you remember, Mr. Tyranny (you are the same guy, right?), that the Bolsheviks reserved their fiercest hatred for the liberal, tolerant Mensheviks, whom the Bolsheviks not only wanted nothing to do with, but tried to (and did) exterminate.

I’m the guy a little to left of center trying to keep the Menshevik party from being supplanted by the Bolsheviks.

I just wish there were more Churchills on the conservative side trying to keep the Tories from being supplanted by the Nazis.

A little help, please? And don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

No, I’m American. I follow the UK Jews News through Ms. Geller’s site, and this was an article about a UK pol, so… the references to Corbyn and Churchill were sort of on my mind.

Thankfully, I don’t think we have any true-blue Bolsheviks, or dyed-in-the-wool Nazis, running the US. Yet.

Re-write my previous comment to substitute Everett Dirksen, or Ike, or Rockefeller, or … Romney, or John McCain, as far as honorable and intelligent conservatives I wouldn’t mind running the country.

I don’t think Trump is really a white supremacist, but he sure loves to pander to them and send them dog whistles. But then again he’s likely to bail on actually doing anything to advance their cause, just like he has with almost every body else — including Israel, where, but for a few purely symbolic gestures (not that I don’t appreciate those), he’s pretty much continuing Obama-era policy. Howzabout that military foreign aid to the Hezbollah, er, Lebanese Army, eh? Trouble is, Trump tends to listen to whoever it is that talked to him most recently. That’s why his policies are like a yo-yo.

Policing thought is inhumane. It’s the antithesis of justice, truth and freedom. Americans are enslaved by federal and state laws that govern thought. Many suffer because of what those in power assume they thought, or for a crime government miscreants claim could or might be committed in the future. Often with the existence of no victim to complain, people are being charged with crimes they didn’t commit, and even if they’re thought to be thinking about committing a crime (by law enforcement mind readers), which is impossible to prove, yet we lemmings continue to fall for the impossible, time and time again.
America stopped being free a long time ago.
