Germany’s Immigration Office accused of taking bribes to grant asylum status to over 1,000 migrants

10

Now it starts to make sense. Germany’s political elites didn’t take their country down the path of national suicide solely because of a commitment to borderless internationalism, although that was certainly a part of it. They were also greasing their palms all the while. But who gave the Muslim migrants the money to bribe these officials? That remains an open question.

“Cash for refugee status: the scandal rocking the German asylum system.” The Local (thanks to David), May 22, 2018:

What is the BAMF affair?

Story continues below advertisement

The scandal centres around the Federal Office for Immigration and Refugees, which goes by the acronym BAMF.

The BAMF office in Bremen is accused of wrongfully granting asylum to over a thousand refugees between 2013 and 2016 who had their applications dismissed in other federal states.

Prosecutors in Bremen are currently investigating the former head of the Bremen office, Ulrike B., and various employees on suspicion that they took bribes in exchange for granting favourable decisions.

In April, prosecutors searched six private properties and the offices of two law firms as part of their investigation. While it is not yet certain whether BAMF employees in Bremen received money in return for granting asylum, a lawyer’s office in Hildesheim is said to have charged €1,000 to ensure that the Bremen office handed down a positive decision.

Are there wider implications?

The scandal has spotlighted a strange anomaly in Germany: whether you get asylum depends heavily on where you apply.

Figures published in October last year showed that Iraqi and Afghan asylum seekers were far more likely to receive asylum in Bremen than in states like Brandenburg and Bavaria.

In Bremen, the success rate for asylum seekers from Iraq was 96.4 percent in the first six months of 2017 – almost twice as high as in Berlin, where the rate was 50.3 percent. Moreover, 65 percent of asylum applications from Afghans were successful in Bremen, whereas 30.9 percent of Afghan asylum seekers were successful in Brandenburg.

The Interior Ministry has now decided to look more closely at this anomaly and is reviewing the asylum process in ten states where applications have been granted at rates that are either unusually high or unusually low. As part of the investigation some 8,500 randomly chosen cases will be examined for irregularities.

Seehofer has said that sloppiness or overwork “seem to” explaine [sic] the wide difference in approval rates. “But I always say that it ‘seems to be’ the case. We are working it all out to make sure that everything is cleared up,” he said on Tuesday….

Gotta wonder how much of the behavior was from simple greed and how much was history guilt.

Good question!
My guess is MONEY rules and eases the “guilt” as a bonus. You have to be a despicable person to do that.

What kind of a moron would literally sell out their country?
When these jihadists act out, the bribe taker is just as unsafe as the typical peasant – but greed happens!

I always thought this might explain why your countries are being run over by Moslems.

That judge that arrested that British man for filming a Moslem pedophile case (I think) must be doing this because Moslems may have BRIBED him with pedophilia. As Moslems are heavy into this and many of your elite are sick sexually.

BC raped a Juanita Broadderick. MSM is not investigating. Nor did they really show interest in that other Demoncrap rapist Dan Inouye. The women ex-cop investigating was told to SHUT UP about it.

If you ask me, I think the judge is into this. Only explanation for this bizarre and backward attack on individual rights.

There will never be an end to immigration because of low birth rate
and ageing population. Actually the risks of curtailing immigration are much
greater than continuing to allow immigrants to enter. Without immigrants we will
be faced with a similar problem to Japan, an ageing population a shrinking
workforce and a dependency ratio so large that there would not be enough people
in work to support our ageing population. Youth unemployment is not the result
of education but chronic under investment in training especially by private
businesses who recruit low paid unskilled workers and do very little to increase
the value of their human capital. There may be an argument for restricting
immigration in the short term while we still have high unemployment, but as the
economy recovers – which hopefully it will and employment rises immigrants will
continue to be an important source of labour.

An immigrant is an immigrant. He is neither legal nor illegal. When
does an ‘immigrant’ become a ‘native’?? All of us were immigrants at one time in
the recent or distant past. Especially all white Americans, South Americans,
Africans, Australians. How does their immigration policy sit with the fact that
they just waltzed in and took over? If you don’t like the wages, work harder, do
the over time, do extra just like the immigrants, get ahead, works work not an
excuse to stand around on your phones moaning and putting in minimum effort and
expect paying for it, pathetic totally pathetic moaning about immigrants!!! In
the 1960s when I was just starting work I worked in a woollen mill in the north
of England and there were quite a few of my fellow workers who were polish, they
are hard working people and did jobs that some British workers didn’t want to do
and then came the Pakistani’s who opened up shops and the Caribbean people who
worked on the roads doing jobs that some British people would not do and now you
are all moaning about the foreigners coming to Britain and taking your jobs, so
whose fault is it !! I am not in favour of illegal immigrants coming here to
work and taking jobs and not paying taxes etc and it does need to be monitored
but foreign people who came here and have worked hard and paid their taxes have
a right to be here in my view. So all you lazy British people that don’t work
need to get off their backsides and go and get a job instead of moaning about it.

Europe is dying its natural death. It needs more and more immigrants
to keep their societies alive. Without migration, European societies and
economies would bleed to death. I’ve rarely seen a mature debate about
immigration, I think the media have allowed biased neoliberal voices to shout
down any positive immigration fact from being discussed or of the right-wing
figures to be debunked, which the likes of Jonathon Portes have attempted to
educate us with. Most of the issues around immigration are relatively minor, and
every independent piece of evidence proves what the trouble is, that this
subject is surrounded with masses of hyperbole and exaggeration, which is leading to actual racism.

Without migration, European society and economy would bleed to death.
There is no end to migration in the near future. The overall problem when
dealing with immigration, is the need to first ascertain where these people have
come from:- If they are from Commonwealth Countries (most likely not Australia,
Canada, or New Zealand – there the immigration goes the other way), this can be
seen as 200 years of imperialism coming back to bite us. If they are from
Eastern Europe, this can be seen as 20 years of moronic EU policy coming back to
bite us. If they come from the Middle East, this can be seen as 100 years of
never ending scheming and meddling in that particular region coming back to bite us.

The people who make me the most ill are the people who decry
immigration, then employ immigrant cleaners on crap wages. Yes, it’s much like
the Republicans in the US, who stoke hostility against Latino migrants, while
all the time depending on them as nannies, cleaners and gardeners. Well of
course, they will support any policy that will strengthen their own position
whilst damaging the rights of indigenous people and any politician wanting to
retain British Values and Liberal values will fall by the wayside. So, the
banker from Germany the cleaner from Colombia who cleans his/her office will all
vote to strengthen their ‘own’ position, because of course their interests
precisely coincide. Its almost as if you think they are all the same. And what
on earth are ‘British values”? If you are talking about the kind of crap spouted
by UKIP and the Tories. Lots of Brits abroad, since XVI Century. I suggest that
you vote for a party that bring back all the British and Europeans that there
are in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, South Africa, Argentina, Chile,
Brazil and hand back those lands to the indigenous people…those are immigrants
as well, aren’t they?. Let’s talk clear and about all, not just what tabloids-
pub educated morons want to hear. What about British and other Europeans
emigrating around the globe for the last 500 years?. Surely we do not like to
get these massive migrations but who comments?, yes!, the ones migrating for
centuries!!!!.
