Tanzania Announces Opening Of Its First Embassy in Israel

Tanzania has announced the opening of its first embassy ever in Israel, and set the date of the ribbon cutting for next week.

The May 8 ceremony will be attended by some of Tanzania’s highest political and diplomatic officials.

Foreign Minister Augustine Mahiga will be making a historic, first-ever trip to Israel for the event.

The announcement comes on the heels of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Africa in 2017, the first time the Israeli chief had ever visited the area and after which he signed the “Africa Power” agreement.

From the Algemeiner:

Tanzania will open an embassy next week in Israel for the first time.

The grand opening of the embassy in Ramat Gan will be held on May 8 and be attended by Tanzania’s Foreign Minister Augustine Mahiga.

It will be Mahiga’s first visit to Israel.

Tanzania’s first ambassador to Israel, Daudi Masima, entered the role in June of last year. Prior to his appointment, Tanzania was represented by Honorary Consul Kasbian Nuriel Chirich, who worked to deepen bilateral ties between the countries.

The opening of the new embassy follows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official trip to Africa in 2017, and an official visit last month by Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to Tanzania.

Good, it is only backwards primitive nations like Canada and those of western europe that have not moved their embassies to Jerusalem. Maybe if the Israelis cleared a couple of unsightly mosques from the city it would make room for more useful construction?

Most people in North Africa (the Arabized and Muslim half of the continent) are generally very anti-American and anti-Israel.

Most people in Sub-Saharan Africa (the more Westernized and Christian half) are generally very pro-American and pro-Israel.

Trump’s bold move against jihadis paying dividends !

Trump was conned by Abbas initially but when he found out the truth boy was he mad as hell at the jihadi http://bit.ly/2rOmfyJ

That’s when he decided enough is enough and that inspite of huge opposition led to shifting of Embassy to Jerusalem and No more funding to the jihadis.
