When will you see an Islamic school hosting a Christian speaker who gives students cross necklaces and teaches them Christian prayer? Never, of course. As always, the attempts at “dialogue” and “mutual understanding” go only one way. Perhaps the administrators at Our Lady & St Patrick’s School want to accustom the students to the people who in the not-too-distant future are going to be their masters and overlords.

Maryport youngsters have been learning about life as a Muslim.
Pupils at Our Lady & St Patrick’s School had their eyes opened to other cultures as they embraced an Islamic workshop led by Imran Kotwal, founder of Muslim Learning services.
The agency provides school visits to help build an understanding of Islamic faith and life. Mr Kotwal was previously a teacher and now teaches Islam to young people of all faiths or none.
Assistant headteacher Hilary Long said it was important for the school to be more diverse and tolerant of other religions.
During the workshop, Mr Kotwal introduced children to the Five Pillars of Islam and highlighted what each one represented. He taught pupils about Muslim worship and showed them how to use a prayer mat.
Youngsters tried on traditional Muslim dress including a head scarf and prayer cap. They sampled dates, which are considered a blessed fruit in Islam and are consumed during the holy month of Ramadan.
Mrs Long said as part of the school’s RE curriculum, they are learning about people of other faiths, which has resulted in them having a visit from a member of the Islamic community….
“It is important that our children have positive experiences and encounters with all members of our community.”

Did he teach them about pedophilia, and terrorism? Child to Iman: why don’t men wear a hijab and why did your leader rape Ayesha? Iman rants: a woman is worth half a man. Many other questions can be presented but it is impossible to have a rational discussion with a Muslim. The aforementioned schools are not true Christian schools. How could they be? Do they not know their own doctrine? If I recall the Ten Cammandments, the Christian God states in clear and decisive language that those who believe in Him may have no other gods before Him. I personally would never attempt to press my beliefs on anyone else. Religion or lack of it is a personal choice. We need to respect one another enough to allow that.
I would never ask for anyone of another faith to wear the cross, partake in Communion, or pray a Christian prayer such as The Lord’s Prayer. I am indeed shocked and very disappointed. I have no idea what the UK thinks it is doing, and those schools, well, I would remove my kids. I would seek legal recourse. You can teach children about all religions, but they should not be forced to or instructed to say prayers from another religion because that is serious.
And what about the other religions, when shall they host Christian speakers? Everyday, more shocking and confusing news. Very discouraging.
And by the way, I shall pray for the victims of the chemical attack on Syria. Any person who could use chemical weapons on another human being does not truly believe in God. Shameful, disgusting, depraved, barbaric behavior. How bad can we get as human beings?

I realize that it was in the UK but it’s also going on in schools all over the US. Maybe they’re not bringing in Imans to teach but they are spending a lot of time on Islam compared to Christianity or Judaism. It’s not only Texas but also New Jersey, Tennessee too. Hi, Janet. Yes, I do think so. Just look at the recall effort, against a city council member in Plano. He didn’t make any statement against moslems (although he should have), he made no statements against vile and filthy mohammedanism. Rather, he simply stated that mohammedanism should not be taught, as the truth, in public schools.
What has happened, and getting worse, in the United States of America, is nothing but a foul crime against humanity. You, and all like minded, need to keep up the good fight. You shall win. Victory is right around the corner.

Hi Achmed! I did hear about that city councilman in Plano. I was so mad at what they are doing to him. Are these people really that ignorant when it comes to Islam? Do they actually think it’s ok that this crap is being taught in our schools? The special treatment they give to Muslims is above and beyond anything they would give to any other religion. It just goes to show you how much pull CAIR and the rest of these Muslim groups have here in the US. It’s outrageous that this is going on. These are the ways they are slowly but surely taking America from within the way they said they would in the Muslim Brotherhood manifesto. Really scary if you ask me.

Hello, Janet. It’s hard to put together the story, from the news articles. But, it seems that the councilman had no problems if students were exposed to mohammedanism, along with other world religions, such as Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, etc. However, from his social media comments … it seems that the school system was only dealing with mohammedanism and teaching it as if was “the truth”. Hard to read between the lines. Yet, if my reading is correct … that’s an absolute travesty to humanity.

I do not ever expect I would have to get on my knees to honor Jesus, so why would I want my daughter to put on a hijab to study Islam? What does that prove? That you empathize with them? I don’t!
It is presumptuous to expect anybody to learn anything more about Islam than they already see in the press. I have Muslim friends, who are academics, and on a personal level, they are good people. But, they reject violence, a pillar of Islam, Mutual respect is the best you can hope for sometimes.

There is Muslim culture, and there is Arab culture, and not necessarily the same. Educated people are more likely to think for themselves. That also explains why I have a few friends who are Democrats.
The Arab Muslims feel they are at the top of the food chain. In other Muslim cultures, the Arabs look down on non-Arab Muslims. But there are a few Arabs with a mind of their own, and will not bend to hate. They settle only for the real truth just as any other educated person.

Maryport a small town in the Lancaster Diocese, am surprised that bishop allowed such to take place – if he knew! Unlike an adjacent diocese, Salford, where the bishop promoted understanding and co-operation with Islam. Did the local authority, Cumbria County Council, approve this and is being followed countywide?

Kids are very impressionable and easily manipulated. Who knows which of these children may grow up thinking they want to be Muslim now? We must be very careful who we allow access to our children. You certainly would not allow your children to have a visit with a communist, where they learn quotes from Karl Marx and receive little flags with the hammer and sickle, nor with a Nazi where they learn quotes from Mein Kampf and try on arm bands with swastikas. Islam is in the same league.

Ok, IF you are a Christian or perhaps you run a Christian school and you are considering doing something drastically different than your normal, established routine, here is what you are supposed to do first: pray about it, in other words, ask God’s guidance in the matter. Do not proceed unless and until you receive approval from the Holy Spirit to go ahead with your new idea. God will give you the right answer. Here is an example of a inquiry I made in prayer to God… I was wondering if some of the “lost” books of the Bible such as the Gospel of Thomas or the Gospel of Mary should be read, studied, and included in the New Testament along with all the standard content. I prayed about it. God provided an answer to me. It was: “everything you need is here” in the existing New Testament of the Bible. God didn’t tell me if the “lost” books were true or false, rather, that they were not needed.
I encourage everyone with a question about modifying their traditional worship practices to pray and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit before you do anything else.
