This is shameful. If courts didn’t find any unlawful activity, the city never should have settled, and shouldn’t pay a penny. But NYC Mayor Red Bill de Blasio is anxious to maintain good relations with pro-sharia Jew-hater Linda Sarsour and her Muslim constituency in New York, and so the taxpayers have to pony up, and security has to be sacrificed. The consequences for the city could be explosive.

The city has announced a settlement in lawsuit that accused police of improperly spying on Muslims.
The suit, filed back in 2012, focused on the NYPD’s use of informants in mosques and the gathering of information from Muslim student groups.
In the settlement, the city agreed to pay $75,000 in damages to the plaintiffs, as well as picking up their nearly $1 million in legal fees.
They will also re-emphasize existing guidelines about constitutional rights based on ethnicity and religion.
Police did not admit to any wrongdoing in the settlement.

If there is one, I hope it is Nikki Haley. The only one I have seen with Common Sense. I followed her when she was Governor. Got millions off welfare by making them volunteer, work blank number of hours or attend classes.

Hopefully a conservative legal group like Judicial Watch, or even SIOA will institute legal proceedings to stop these payments as an illegal use of taxpayer funds. And seek damages from the government officials personally for acting outside the scope of their jobs.
