The college is treating this as a destruction of private property, not as a hate crime. If, however, the target had been Muslim, and the photo had been defaced with hateful graffiti reading, “Kill the Islamic Republic of Iran,” it is certain that the response would have been drastically different. But no one wants to be so “islamophobic” as to investigate and prosecute a Muslim hate crime against Jews. And so this is just a simple act of vandalism.

An antisemitic message was recently found outside the office of an administrator at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, written atop a photograph of his late father.
Story continues below advertisementMike Goldstein, a director of outreach and community marketing, told Campus Reform he found the words “F**k Trump Goldstein/Kill Zionist Entity” scribbled on a picture of Leon Goldstein — a former president of Kingsborough — that hung next to his office door.
While several other images of former faculty and staff members from the college were on display beside the same photograph, only the one showing his deceased father was targeted, Goldstein observed.
He said he filled out an internal report on the incident, which the college — part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system — will be treating as destruction of private property, rather than a hate crime. While the college is unable to set up an alarm under his desk in response to personal safety concerns, or point a camera toward his office, they did offer to move his office, Goldstein added.
However, he indicated that did not take up the offer, as the school could not confirm where his new office would be located.
Goldstein noted that while he believed “the individuals behind the graffiti did research me,” he had not previously been the target of a similar attack.
“I think the atmosphere at the college has changed considerably, especially when it comes to Jews or those who might be considered Pro-Israel,” he told Campus Reform. “It appears that there are a number of anti-Semitic individuals at the college who like to cloak their hatred of Jews behind a camouflage of anti-Zionism and other rhetoric, but what it truly is, is the same age old hatred of Jews that has existed for centuries.”
Goldstein shared that while he voted for President Barack Obama in 2008, he switched party affiliations in 2012 and is now a supporter of President Donald Trump. “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me — especially with Israel,” he asserted….

43 Comments6 years agoThis for me is an unexpected and unwelcome development, I always believed America prized itself on at least two things, one being a constitution which all expected would never fail them, the second being the expectation that Jewish people would always be welcome and safe.
Something is changing all right, but is society strong enough to maintain what is now under relentless attack ?

And, Penelope, while I don’t know of any resultant deaths, anti-Semitism has a long history in the USA. A once-prominent movement, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), was very vocal in their hatred of Jews. A certain Catholic priest, Father Coughlin, was a high-profile anti-Semite with a large following in the 1930’s.

Clearly they were not always “welcome” in the USA, and American Jews have faced their share of anti-Semitism. Not, to be sure, anti-Semitism of European/Russian ferocity, but not something Americans can take great pride in. Moreover, nobody should assume that “it can’t happen again”, or “can’t happen here”, as you seem so blithely to do. In fact, I think it is happening in front of our very eyes.
Mahou, I do have to wonder why you routinely make these kinds of idiotic comments that only serve to highlight your own banality and general disagreeableness.

Apparently their “performances’ [ for want of a better word] are broadcast from in Pamela’s apartment , but she is never acknowledged or shown.Family chum Milo, has expressed displeasure at the expose, but Pam, as we know, hates censorship with a venom, so would presumably approvd of the public knowing what the public needs [and wants] to know.]
In any case it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at Chez Geller.-Oshry, at her 60th birthday bash in June, It may end up sounding more like The Real Housewives of New York>

I’m glad you asked that. Definition of bigoted “”obstinatently or unreasonably attache to a belie, opinion or faction. Intolerant towards other people’s beliefs and parctices “synonyms Parial , biased ,one-sided .
So how does she demonstrate this? Basically by applying a different standard to Muslims than other religions, and falsifying stories.
Out of all the crimes committed world wide ,and obviously there area lot because of the sheer size of the population., all are blamed on Muslims and the ones obviously not committed by Muslims are un-mentioned. So a murder in Italy is blamed on Muslim refugees , but the random hate killing of a Muslim street vendor by an alt right extremists is not mentioned.
If her suggested involvement of muslims turns out to be false,it’s either forgotten and she moves on to another story, or else it’s a conspiracy of Media, government police and fire brigades to hide the truth. Although how Pam is supposed to have discovered it in the face of so much opposition is never explained. Examples of that would be the London hi-rise apartment fire, the car catching fir e in London, the Bourke st Killings in Melbourne. And many others .
Another technique Pam uses is to headline a claim with a shocking picture, suggesting it is related to or proof of the claim. But often the pictures ar not related and chosen for shock value..
So a report of a knife wielding terrorist [which was pictured] turned out to be a riot policeman in black , The ‘no go zone posters in France and Sweden, were in English,, a bit pointless in countries where English isn’t the first language. And out of all the things banned in the no go zone we saw included “drug, prostitution, alcohol’ Are any of these things you want in your neighbourhood.?
A story of blood din the streets in France turned out to show a picture of sheep being slaughtered. Pam apparently [ like most of her fans] hasn’t realised the pic she uses can be instantly searched fr on Google and the original source discovered..and often shown to be something different.
So could you point me to where Pam said she “loves Muslims”?
