The Catholic Church “CANONIZES” people – not scriptures. To “canonize” someone means to declare them “a saint”. But it doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes, hundreds of years elapse from
the person’s death until they are “canonized”. The “Bible” consists of 2 books, the OLD TESTAMENT
and the NEW TESTAMENT. The old testament covers the time of Adam and Eve up until the coming
of Christ. The New Testament covers the Life of Christ, basically. The contents of the bible is pretty
much the same across the different Christian religions. The Jewish people only embrace the OLD TESTAMENT because they do not believe Jesus is the ONE – they’re still waiting.
Not that any of this has anything to do with LINDA SARSOUR and Sharia Law! Bone up folks!

Here’s the first reference I found. You may want to investigate further for yourself. “An Evangelical Christian pollster finds that atheists commit less crimes, divorce less, and are better educated than their fellow Christians.”

I just read the opposition argument, complete with their own studies and statistics. But they come from a religious viewpoint and can’t be considered “independent evidence.”

What is clear is that the overwhelming, albeit secular consensus is that my original claim is correct.

My bible is the US Constitution. It’s all the legal and moral guidance I’ll ever need. I’m a classical liberal in the vein of Thomas Jefferson. I voted for and support our President Trump and his election almost made me believe in Gawd! Almost…

As a jew I’m unable to agree– my old neighbor was certainly a scum of a christian–he had his entire extended family using our well and he had no trouble with everyone else paying the electricity. When I tried to discuss it with him he made very clear to me that since I wasn’t a christian, he didn’t have to treat me as his equal. I didn’t shoot him and instead his wife paid the electric bill– she did mention that he was an @ss also

“Christians” are NOT their “fellow” Christians” – there’s no fellowship between atheists and Christians. There is “fellowship” between true AMERICANS – about politics – but not between atheists and Christians.

Hello Gee – I’m sorry, I have no idea. I’ve never “used” one so I don’t really know. There are a few
“names” I’ve heard over the years. Prior to the elections, when I would watch the debates, I’d
hear their names mentioned. To be honest, I don’t really “trust” their “information” because they’ve
never, in my experience, turned out to reflect what’s really going on. i.e. ALL the “polls” said that
Mrs.C. was the winner. In other words, they have a “vested interest” in the results. I guess they’re
good to get a “general idea” – but not to base your life on. I live from the heart – and my gut.

Like I said, after doing the web search,, I found several references. Multiple sources. Your insults aside, I have been a voracious reader since about age seven.

I didn’t suggest or imply Christians are “immoral.” My hypothesis is that Christians are not more moral than non-believers and statistically Christians have higher rates of divorce, criminality and drug abuse. It’s a falsifiable argument and should be debated with facts and evidence, not knee jerk emotion as you have demonstrated here.

I find it very interesting how, as you say, two of the men you mentioned were ministers but, decided atheism was the way to go. You don’t get to be a Christian and go to atheism without some extreme animosity and contempt for the belief as the reason for leaving it. Especially if your a minister. There’s far more to the story than you are saying.

Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.” Mocking God means disrespecting, dishonoring, denying or ignoring His existence. AND, Christianity is not a license to sin, rather, it is the key to overcoming sin. Whoever feels it is a license to sin, is NOT a Christ-follower. By the way, it’s a relationship we have with Jesus and NOT a religion. Religions can be twisted. But we are ALL sinners and as we struggle, pleasing God should always be our focus; NOT “gee, what can I do next that is offensive to God, because I know I’ll be forgiven!! So, it’s NOT a license to sin!!! You are willfully misinformed. God knows the heart!

I was born a jew, I tried reform & I tried orthodox– I can’t say it’s bad for everyone, many folks believe they live richer lives for their religious beliefs.
One important thing that makes Us different from ‘refugees’ is We tend to have tolerance for each other. America’s strength may be in part to Our way of accepting Our fellows ways in life
