“End the Workers Struggle against Government and Corporate Greed.”

Story continues below advertisement

Scheduled for 11 am, I arrived. Foley Square. approximately 10:45.

The SEIU and associated unions had PACKED the square with workers, cheering and jeering, as they held union banners and flags high above the crowd.

The dutiful union tools stood for hours as they watched a jumbotron, placed over the stage, while the amplification carried for blocks.

The ubiquitous SOCIALIST/ COMMIES screamed at the workers to never forget they are VICTIMS of corporate GREED.

From the Left: It takes a UNION to make things right.

When we unite, we can do almost anything. Join with us as we protect our freedoms and fight back against the corporate CEOs and politicians who have rigged the system and our economy against us.”  #UnrigtheSystem  #ItsAboutFreedom

Fight for the freedom to come together in strong unions.
Fight for equitable pay.
Fight for affordable health care.
Fight for quality schools.
Fight for vibrant communities.
Fight for a secure future for all of us.

From the Right: Public-sector unions are just RACKETEERING outfits [NY Post]

This is how a public-sector union works:
1. The State creates a monopoly.
2. The monopoly forces taxpayers to fund those workers, whether they do a good job or not.
3. The union then coerces workers to pay dues regardless of whether or not they want to.
4. Then the union uses those dues to help fund political advocacy that perpetuates their monopoly and the union’s influence.
In other words: racketeering. [NY Post]

But the LEFT insists: “In the face of mammoth corporations and their puppet politicians […] the Right is on the wrong side of this issue.”

From the Right, a voice of reason at the “Workers Day” Facebook page: David Fisher : I hope y’all will thank Trump for the lowering of your taxes and in many instances your bonuses and wage increases .. (and)..  to tell those 300 union offices to quit embezzling from union members.

FACT: There are few BULLIES bigger than the UNION BOSS in everyday American life.”[NY Post]

From the Right [National Review) – on forced membership –

It’s estimated that at least 5.5 million government workers in 22 states are forced to pay money to unions just to keep their jobs. […] forcing people to support government-worker unions has for decades constituted one of the greatest workplace violations of First Amendment rights in U.S. history.”

Now, back to the reason for this protest/rally: Supreme Court case could deal major blow to unions in New York

“On Monday(Feb 26, 2018) the US Supreme Court will hear Janus v. AFSCME. At issue are the constitutionality of laws in 22 states — including New York — that force public employees who do not want to belong to unions to pay unions “agency fees” for bargaining collectively on their behalf.” (also know as financial core) [ NY Post]

The plaintiff Illinois state worker Mark Janus — argues that agency fees violate his First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and association by compelling him to underwrite union political activity with which he disagrees.

If the court sides with Mr. Janus […] government unions in the state could lose 20 to 30 percent of their members and money. The balance of power in state politics would shift.” [NY Post]

So
the unions rally, they MUST “Mobilize, Organize, Energize.”

After all, New York’s unions collect over $860 million a year from some 1 million government employees. “[…] furthermore, the vast majority of public union political activity seeks to aid the left side of the political spectrum, as the unions are closely aligned with the Democratic and Working Families parties.” [NY Post]

Membership translates into money.

“New York’s government unions could lose up to $110 million a year in agency fee revenue. If the Supreme Court accepts these arguments […]

(CONSIDER) If stripping a political advocacy group of the power to force workers to join its efforts is a crippling event, then it’s an event worth celebrating.” [NY Post]

Communists Rally in NYC, Scream at Real Workers That They’re Victims of “Corporate Greed

They will use the means that representative democracy provides to end that democracy. They are an excellent example of why the founders of the US of A envisioned a democracy in which only those who “had a stake in society” would be granted the voting franchise. I realize that concept was implemented abysmally, but I don’t know that that disproves the value of the idea.

But hey, let’s hear it for the Venezualen way!

Wouldn’t it be ironic if we could send them to Venezuela and let them live their socialist dreams in person.

Socialism proceeds from a notion of one collective consciousness that controls the desires, goals and actions of the entire population. It is only under such assumptions that one can imagine everybody working for nothing and getting everything free.

Any references to incentives to get people to behave a desired way reaches nothing in the mind obsessed by the collective consciousness, because their collective mind will simply dictate the desired behavior. Ludwig von Mises called such people “daydream dictators.” They’re always thinking, “If only everybody would…”

Of course, the only way to implement the plans crafted under such assumptions is through violence, terror, mass murder. If one’s ideology denies the existence of individual consciousness in theory, one will have to eliminate, as in, exterminate, it in practice. Socialists managed a world-wide, nine-digit bodycount during the previous century, and they show every sign of desiring to continue in that tradition.

Socialist Venezuela, which is still pumping gas, is on the verge of a famine the likes of which we have never seen in this hemisphere, while Venezuelan farming, industry and banking have already collapsed.

This is going on right now, as we speak.

Looking at these images in Manhattan, one is struck by the sadness of people who have lost their way, but sympathy fades quickly when one is reminded of their monumental ignorance.

For now, they are only useful idiots, but the danger of socialism remains.

Ok, here’s the friggin answer:

Up to now, the government has not acknowledged a famine, and it is not at all clear that an airlift of supplies would be permitted.

Nor is there the slightest assurance, even if permission were granted, the supplies would find their way into the hands of the general population.

It’s not clear yet how this will play out, but I would bet on a military intervention at some point by the United States and some Latin American allies, including perhaps Columbia.

The politics of envy and hate.

Same the world over.

Socialism has no appeal for any guy who wants to better his lot by dedication and working hard.

A good way to impress upon some strike prone public sector staff some of the discipline of the private sector is to insist that all staff will be required to enter a tender for one years work, lowest price gets the work.

They can then strike as much as they want, because when they do they won’t get payed or asked to bid again.

Good reliable service and results gains a bonus. Carrot and stick.

The democrats complete and utter disregard for The Constitution and our Republic is a disgrace. Libtard leadership is a perverted group of socialists, leading what is EASILY the dumbest voting group on the planet around by the nose-ring. Each year they vote for more of their own demise…. for literal scraps of cheese and bread.

It is truly amazing how ignorant democrats are.

Historically, that’s true. Originally, “Socialism” was supposed to be local and decentralized — think of municipal sewer-systems, or waterworks, or local co-ops, or labor unions counterbalancing the power of big businesses without impeding small independent ones — with *no* attachment to any governments except local ones. It was the commies who joined “socialism” to national govts. (“National Socialism”!) and made it into vicious tyranny, rather than just a semi-successful economic reform system.

Yeah, Bolsheviks completely screwed up Russia for 70 years. Now they want to repeat their evil in America. Just that Russians failed should be a reason for Americans not to even try going there. And all but a few hardly working losers in America have any interest in repeating Russia’s huge mistake.

The SEIU is nothing more than a government-sanctioned organization that engages in extortion of the everyday worker under the guise that they are protecting them. It is designed to keep the people in a perpetual state victimhood, where they are forever reliant on them. The unioms collect millions and millions of dollars and provide the worker’s nothing in return for their hard earned money. Free Kool-Aid at SEIU rallies, perhaps? The Trump admin should immediately order a DOJ investigation into the SEIU for a variety of crimes, including running a sophisticated ponzi scheme, extortion, unlawful influence of select politicians and tax evasion, for starters. There is nothing productive about the SEIU and never has been.

Unemployed and unemployable welfare beggars and bums insulting people with jobs. What fools welfare makes of its grubs. Look at the british car and motorcycle industry that used to be, once at the top of the world, now, a footnote in history, all due to stupid interference by unions and government, instigated by incompetent employees.

A union with any sense knows better than to kill the golden goose. I’ve seen smart unions that actually used their money to found co-op businesses that wound up running their old bosses into the ground. Healthy competition! It favors the lean, mean, smart and clean.

When greed, stupidity, and incompetent abuse of power get into a union, it, as has been frequently demonstrated, destroys the company and the lives of the employees. Even in the business, union world, there are economic laws, that if violated result in financial ruin.

That’s when the membership should have the sense to de-certify that union, throw it out and get a better one. Ironically, there’s a free market in unions!

Sooooo, decades ago, McCarthy was right? After all, we also see the Leftist idiocy in H’wood as well as their hypocrisy. Surrounded by hundreds of ARMED cops and security, these A-holes are the same ones pushing for gun control. And many actors were also blackballed back then. Let’s continue to boycott H’wood and the NFL (Pizza Hut Delta air,…) as long as they act out. Don’t you just love it when they wear their the little p-hats to protests or kneel for the anthem?

Back when I was working for a *real* union, we could always tell who the parlor-pink/limousine-liberal/commies were by the way they spouted idiocies about the working class. Real unions, and real working folks, have no use for the commies. And BTW, “right to work” doesn’t stop union organizing or the functioning of any intelligent union; it’s just a sop for the stupid bosses and stupider politicians. It’s true that “right to work” states are poorer than regular union states, but that’s usually because of the general stupidity of their govts. and “captains of industry” who have no idea how to run a healthy economy.

Here is something that exposes them, the commies and the comment image left, for who they really are. We have a local “girlfriend garage sale” facebook page and yesterday while looking at items for sale I ran across this… a $300 Hoody that looks made for ANTIFA or some of these anarchist idiots!!!! $300!!!!!! They are all such slimebag hypocrites. I’m in a very conservative area that’s quite upscale, so this stood out like a sore thumb. The poster is without a doubt someone new to the area who’s most likely from “up north.”

The left never “fights” for anything. They constantly whine for the government to do everything for them and give them free stuff. If they really wanted for others (victims), what they claim they would spend their money and effort helping them. They just want power to control so they don’t have to be responsible for their own support.

I read this site because I agree with Ms. Geller about the dangers of Islamism and jihad. But with articles like this, which have nothing to do with anything Middle Eastern or Muslim at all, Atlas Shrugged and The Geller Report seems to be turning itself into just another far-right echo chamber. What gives? Diluting the message with this kind of polemic is just going to drive away allies, not help the cause. Unless y’all believe in all that “intersectionality” crap just as much as the leftie SJWs you abhor? Say it ain’t so!

I’m a liberal, not a far-left “progressive.” I’m no fan of open border demands; nor was Obama, under whom we deported far more illegal immigrants than under any president previously. And I strongly uphold not only “Western civilization” and its values, but the Constitutional government of the US. But that’s not the reason this site exists — at least, it didn’t used to be.

I’m fine with far-right supporters calling liberals names and claiming we want to overthrow the government; it’s tripe, but this is a free country, so, believe what you want. Just don’t expect me to hang around and listen to it when I came here to be on the same side regarding the dangers of rampant jihadist Islamism. If the shoe were on the other foot, I have no doubt conservatives would not appreciate being called names if they came to, say, a Sierra Club website to join forces against climate change. We — at least I — would welcome them as allies, not disrespect them because our views differed on other matters. If you are going to insist that someone has to sign up for the entire “party line” on every single platform issue before being welcomed into the “big tent,” the tent gets a lot smaller — and that’s the idiocy of the “intersectionality” movement on the left today, which I and many thoughtful liberals reject (especially when it is used to say junk like “Zionists cannot be feminists”). Nice chatting with you, and I do plan to stick around, but consider this my canary-in-the-coal-mine effort to get this website to focus on jihad-related issues, not just be a pro-Trump bandwagon.
